Robert `Bob' Kubinak
A memorial service for Robert `Bob' Kubinak will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
He died at peace at hiswinter home in Mountain Home, Ark., due to complications associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and congestive heart failure.
Robert was retired from sales with the Calgon division of Merck. Later, he owned and operated a charter fishing business based out of Kenosha Yacht Club. An avid outdoor sportsman, he was a member of Northbrook Sports Club and Trout Unlimited, and supported many wildlife conservation efforts. Mr. Kubinak was very active with AA Fellowship after being sober for 23 years.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Kubinak of Grayslake, Jenny Kubinak of Frederick, Md., Kevin Kubinak of Marina, Calif. and Susan Kubinak of St. Louis, Mo.; and his sister, Mary Ann Black of Lutherville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to Centegra Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center, attn: Ginny Ziemba-BSN, MA, 4209 Medical Center Dr., Suite B100, McHenry, IL 60050.

Warren R. Luedke of Wheaton for 27 years
Funeral services for Warren R. Luedke, 77, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, with the Rev. David A. Smith officiating.
Born May 30, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wis., he died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital inWinfield. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wis., at 1 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Luedke was a retired vice president for Ron Berns and Associates in Chicago.
He had graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee, Wis., and from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. While at Northwestern, he played first chair clarinet and at the 1948 Rose Bowl. Mr. Luedke was also an Army Air Corps veteran, having served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Luedke of Wheaton; children, Eloise (Alex) Clegg, Robert (Sara) Luedke and Earl Luedke, all of Wheaton; brothers, Russell (Joanie) Luedke of Neenah, Wis.
and Donald (Helen) Luedke of Southington, Conn.; grandchildren, James, Becca, Tim, Rob, Matt and Krista; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Covenant Childrens Home, 502 Elm Place, P. O. Box 518, Princeton, IL 61356-9919.

Helen D. Lynch of Des Plaines
Visitation for Helen D. Lynch, 76, will be held at 8:30 a.m. until the time of prayers at 9:30 a.m., Friday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Zachary Church.
Born Sept. 26, 1922, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Joan) Lynch; sisters, Ruth and Tessie Lynch; nephews, Robert (Stephanie) Lynch and James (Mary) Lynch; and niece, Doris (James) Jenkins.
Contributions would be appreciated to the church.

Clarence A. Matthews Jr., 75, of Villa Park, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, Villa Park, (630) 832-4161.

Carole J. Miller of Hawthorn Woods
Services for Carole J. Miller (nee Webeck), 62, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 26238 N. Highway 59, Wauconda.
Born July 18, 1936, in Decatur, she died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Wealshire Nursing Home, Lincolnshire. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Mrs. Miller was a freelance writer, a piano and organ teacher and an accomplished musician.
She was the beloved wife of Bill Miller, whom she married Aug. 27, 1955; loving mother of Scott (Karan) Miller and Pam (Jim) Fitzgibbons; devoted grandmother of Jordan and Nicholas Miller, and Billy, Jonny and Emily Fitzgibbons; cherished daughter of the late Alfred and Phyllis Webeck; dear sister of Beth (David) Wilfong; and fond aunt of Rick (Monica) and Brad (Jennifer) Wilfong and the late Randy Wilfong.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076.

Helen B. Montmarquette
Mass for Helen B. Montmarquette, 85, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Bloomingdale.
Interment will be private.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gregory; loving mother of John (Lee), Stephen (Patricia) and the late Gregory (Joan) and Carol Sawyer; caring grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 11; dear sister of Charles (Mary) Kubica, Theresa (the late Sam) DeCanio and Mary (the late Joseph) Kudelka; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Paul `Gus' Neidhardt of Elgin
Funeral services for Paul `Gus' Neidhardt, 94, will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Elgin, with the Rev. Roger Pollock officiating.
Born March 5, 1905, inFarmer Center, Ohio, the son of Fredrick and Ida May Neidhardt, he died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mr. Neidhardt had been a resident of Elgin for the past 20 years. He was employed by General Foods for more than 30 years before retiring, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Owen Neidhardt; daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Roth of Bethpage, Long Island, N. Y. and Noretta Fergelec of Elgin; son, Robert (Geri) Neidhardt of Streamwood; 10 grandchildren; 14great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services today, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Elizabeth E. Rayburn of Schaumburg
Services for Elizabeth E. Rayburn (nee Peterson), 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 W. Higgins Rd., Schaumburg.
Born June 30, 1918, in Stanley, Wis., she died Monday, March 15, 1999, in Schaumburg. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late Waldo; mother of Kim (Janet) Rayburn of Bloomingdale; sister of Ruth Bruhn of Columbia, Mo. and Ethel Peterson of Green Bay, Wis.; and aunt of Richard Fischer, Johann (Jeanne) Bruhn, William (Tara) Bruhn, Steven(Cecile) Bruhn and Paul (Fatima) Bruhn.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Day Nursery of Chicago, 1802 N. Fairfield, Chicago, IL 60647 or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Raymond Reiber of Des Plaines
Services for Raymond Reiber, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 666 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines.
Born Sept. 6, 1919, he died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
During his career, Mr. Reiber had worked for the U. S. Government, Wilson Sporting Goods and Dunn and Bradstreet.
He was a memberof the Des Plaines Elks and was active in his condominium association and First United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, traveling and gardening.
He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Betty M. Reiber; loving father of Patti (Bob) Voss; and proud grandfather of Derek and Matthew.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Philip A. Rourke of Lombard
Funeral services for Philip A. Rourke, 47, formerly of Worth, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Rosemont.
Born Jan. 21, 1952, in Chicago, he died Monday, March 15, 1999, at his residence.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth.
Mr. Rourke was a sales manager at Mattress World in the south suburbs for the past five years.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Sharon J. (nee Skrip); parents, J. Philip and Lucille Rourke of Worth; sisters, Jane Rourke (Ron) Daluga of Orland Park and Kimberly (John ) Baumhardt; and nieces and nephews, Seth and Kaelyn Rourke Daluga and Kara and Justin Baumhardt.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Mildred Siems of Elgin
Funeral services for Mildred Siems, 90, will be held at noon Saturday, at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
Born Feb. 12, 1909, in Huntley, the daughter of Charles and Emma Lorenz Ewert, she died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Asta Care Center of Elgin. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Siems was employed by Elgin Watch Factory for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Nan Jean (Jack) Eckholm of Elgin and Vida Rae (John) Ciulik of California; granddaughter, Diana Lange of Elgin; grandsons, Cameron (Mari Ann) Coulson of California and Robert Coulson of Wisconsin; great-granddaughter, Crystal Lange of Elgin; great-grandson, Patrick Cowart of Elgin; niece, Dawn (Gilbert) Larson of Oswego; and nephew, Norman Ewert of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Siems, whom she married in 1945 and who died in1976; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon Saturday, at the funeral chapel.

Alice L. Stromberg of Naperville
Services for Alice L. Stromberg, 79, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville. Rev. Nathan Bartel will officiate.
Born Feb. 24, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., she died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Edward Hospital. Interment will be in FairmountWillow Hills Memorial Park, 9100 S. Archer Ave., Willow Springs, Ill.
Mrs. Stromberg was a resident of Naperville since 1934, coming from Downers Grove. She worked for 30 years at Russell's Cleaners. She was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Frank Stromberg of Naperville; son, Douglas Stromberg of Palm Springs, Calif.; and sisters, Fern (Bernard) Sesselman of Naperville and Lorraine Parz of Redding, Calif.
She was preceded in deathby her parents, Ira and Louise (nee Bauer) Albrecht; and sister, Phyllis Jones.

Roderick `Rod' Taylor, 26, of Naperville, died Monday, March 15, 1999. Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 629-0094.
