William C. Schoppe, 54, of Butternut, Wis., formerly of Bartlett, died Wednesday, Dec. 30. Arrangements were made by Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett, (630) 289-7575.

Florence N. Schrader of North Aurora
Graveside services for Florence N. Schrader, 87, formerly of Sandwich, will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich.
Born Nov. 6, 1911, in Newark, Ill., to Torkel and Agnes Newton, she passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Schrader was a graduate of Sandwich High School and was employed at the Sandwich State Bank for more than 25 years, prior to her many years of loving health care that she provided both for her mother and husband. She was a Lutheran by faith, and an active church member throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her cousins, Rose Leech of Aurora and Bernice Blakely of Phoenix, Ariz.; and by a beloved neighbor, who was like a daughter, Betty Becker Bell of North Aurora.
In addition toher parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic I. Schrader, in 1987.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 E. Wilson St., Batavia, IL 60510, or to the charity of donor's choice.

Thomas J. `Buddy' Sullivan of Palatine
Services for Thomas J. `Buddy' Sullivan, 75, will be held at 8 p. m. Saturday, at the chapel of Adinamis Funeral Directors, 4700 N. Western Ave., Chicago.
Born April 5, 1923, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be private in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Sullivan was a veteran of World War II.
He was the loving father of Thomas (Ann), Kathleen Cajda, Gael (Celia), and Shawn (Megan) Sullivan, and the late Colleen (Jim) Sullivan; and proud grandfather of nine. He was also the dear brother of Florence (Bill) Treptow, Rita Mithen, and the late Eileen Solomon; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p. m. until the time ofservices at 8 p. m. Saturday, at the funeral chapel.

Richard D. Unser of Wood Dale
Memorial services for Richard D. Unser, 62, will be held at 11:30 a. m. Saturday, at Geils Funeral Home, 260 W. Irving Park Road, Wood Dale.
Born March 20, 1936, in Detroit, Mich., he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at home. Interment will be private.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Unser (nee Glenn); sons, David (Pina) and Kurt (Sandi) Unser; and grandchildren, Rachael, Sarah, Tony, Taylor and Hannah.
Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until the time of services Saturday, at the funeral home.

Ida B. Williams of Wheaton
Services for Ida B. Williams (nee Donald), 81, will be held at 7:30 p. m. Monday, at DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4300 Yackley Ave., Lisle.
Born Sept. 29, 1917, in Florence, Ala., she died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at her home. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Wheaton for more than 40 years and was a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lisle.
She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Williams; loving mother of Carlton Massey, Earl Lynne Massey, and Yoshida, Judith, James and Lamont Williams; cherished grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of five. She was also the fond niece of Ada Bibbs and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce and Buddy Donald; and sisters, Charley Mae Harding and Shirlean Ratcliff.
Visitation will be from 6:30 p. m. until the time of services at 7:30 p. m. Monday, at the church.
Flowers to the family or contributions to the American Cancer Society in her memory would be appreciated.

Mary Catherine Wright formerly of Des Plaines
Mary Catherine Wright (nee Batchelor), 91, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998. She was born Dec. 8, 1907.
She was a former member of the Des Plaines Bible Church and had been employed by Marshall Fields in Old Orchard.
Preceded in death by her husband, Edwin C.; and son, Edwin L., she is survivedby her sons, Phillip (Barbara) and John (Pat); 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat granddaughter.
Arrangements were made by Beckman-Williams Funeral Home, Cocoa Beach, Fla.

Nick Zimmerman of Cary
Private services for Nick Zimmerman, 86, will be held at Windridge Funeral Home, 104 High Road, Cary. The Rev. Mark G. Bergman of Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Plaines will officiate.
Born Jan. 11, 1912, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Good Shepherd Hospital. Interment will be private.
A resident of Cary for 65 years, Mr.
Zimmerman was employed as an electro-typesetter.
Surviving are his wife, Della Zimmerman (nee Landt); children, Barbara (Ron) Flint of Reno, Nev., Daryl (Bony) Zimmerman of Phoenix, Ariz., Jo (Bill) Martenson of Algonquin and Jon (Charlotte) Zimmerman of Wonder Lake; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty (Jim) Schauble of Cary and Julia Schoening of Crystal Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine (nee Pum) Zimmerman.

C. Verner Anderson of Batavia
Services for C. Verner Anderson, 71, will be held at 11 a. m. Monday, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia, where he will lie in state from 10 a. m.
until the time of services. The Rev. Philip D. Lund will officiate.
Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Geneva, to C. Ragnar and Anna (nee Martinsson) Anderson, he passed away Thursday, Dec.
31, 1998 at Delnor-Community Hospital, Geneva. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.
Mr. Anderson was raised on his parents' farm in Geneva Township and was a 1946 Geneva High School graduate. A lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia, he was also active in many organizations, including the Batavia Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 682 and the Batavia and Geneva Optimist Club. He served as a board member of the Kane County 4-H Foundation and was a former board member of the Kane County Fair, the Kane County Farm Bureau and the Illinois Soybean Program operating board.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Donna J. Anderson (nee Sweigert), whom he married Jan. 12, 1952, at First Baptist Church in Batavia; children, Stephen (Becky) Anderson ofBatavia, Barbara (Matt) Hickey of Manhattan, Ill., Mark (Diane) Anderson of Batavia and Paul (Robyn) Anderson of North Aurora; grandchildren, Michael and Brian Anderson, Katie, Sarah and Maggie Hickey, Erik and Todd Anderson and Brittany Anderson; brother, Robert (Lucy) Anderson of Batavia; sisters, Mary Ann (Paul) Hubbard of Batavia, Helen(Jerry) Anderson of Batavia and Inga (Karl) Holzl of Batavia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends, including several cousins in Sweden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Ragnar and Anna Anderson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p. m. Sunday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia.

Edward J. Bode of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Edward J. Bode, 83, formerly of Rolling Meadows, will be said at 9:30 a. m. Monday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Mass will follow at 10 a. m. at St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadow Lane, Rolling Meadows.
Born April 29, 1915, he died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A retired printer with Wilmar Printing Process Company in Chicago, he was a World War II Army veteran, having served at Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.
He was the husband of the late Dolores (nee Layton) Bode, she preceded him in death in 1989; father of Michael (Debra) Bode, Eileen Bode and Marybeth (Jeffrey) Sundberg; and grandfather offive.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Kenneth E. Brauer of Elk Grove Village
Services for Kenneth E. Brauer, 74, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 150 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village, where he will lie in state from 9 a. m. until the time of services.
Born in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Mr. Brauer had been employed for 39 years as a clerk for the U. S. Postal Service at post offices in Jefferson Park and Edgebrook. An Army veteran, he had served in the combat infantry during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of ParkRidge VFW Post #3579.
Survivors include his wife, Marion M. Brauer (nee Brodfuehrer); sons, Arthur E. Petersen and Gregory A. (Carolyn) Brauer; grandchildren, Matthew, Allison and Cheryl Brauer, Tami (Daman) Donaldson and Art E. Petersen; and great-grandchild, Danjae Donaldson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Sunday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit.

(Kimberly) Chandler and the late Donald J.; fond grandfather of Micaela Carol Chandler; and dear uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
