Thomas John Rogers formerly of Batavia
Funeral services for Thomas John Rogers, 29, most recently of Wake Forrest, N. C., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, Batavia, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
Born March 2, 1970, in La Grange, to Donna (nee Wright) Rogers Heisey and Dan Rogers, he passed away Thursday, March 18, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Garden in Oakbrook Terrace.
Thomas owned and operated Rogers Construction in North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Rogers (nee Shipley) of Wake Forrest; two sons, Joshua and Tyler Rogers of Wake Forrest; mother, Donna (Joe) Heisey of Batavia; father, Dan Rogers of Batavia; two brothers, Steven Rogers of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Kenneth Rogers of Batavia; three sisters, Nancy Kamka of Palatine, Kelly Rogers of Batavia and Dawn Rogers of Batavia; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Kenneth Schank of Wheaton
Services for Kenneth Schank, 54, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at WilliamsKampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Michael Church.
He died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
Mr. Schank was a lifelong resident of Wheaton and a business owner in Carol Stream.
He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Anne Schank; loving brother of Sandra (the late Robert) Bertelsen, Terrence (Bonnie) Schank, Karen (Larry) Emery, MaryEllyn (Robert) Jamrok, Christine (Michael) Kveton and Brian Schank; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Jewel Scholtz formerly of Grayslake
A memorial service for Jewel Scholtz, 62, of Arvada, Colo., will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Aug. 19, 1936, in Nettleton, Miss., to Elester and Jettie West, she passed away Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at her home. Interment will be private in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
A resident of Arvada since 1986, Mrs. Scholtz had formerly lived in Grayslake for more than 22 years. She retired in 1994 from Martin Marrietta, Inc. of Colorado where she was employed in the engineering department. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Denver, Colo., and a former member of St. Gilbert's Catholic Church in Grayslake.
She leaves her loving husband, Walter F. Scholtz, whom she married June 7, 1958, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Antioch; children, Melinda Willen of Grayslake, Beverly (Gary) Greiner of Ingleside, Mary (John) Pawlowski of Bristol, Wis., Carol (Mark) Messer of Ingleside, Fred Scholtz of Denver, and Steven (Rachel) Scholtz of Toma, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Friends of the family may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel.
Contributions in Mrs. Scholtz's memory may be given to the American Lung Association or to the Grayslake Fire Department.

Mildred Siems of Elgin
Funeral services for Mildred Siems, 90, will be held at noon today, at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
Born Feb. 12, 1909, in Huntley, the daughter of Charles and Emma Lorenz Ewert, she died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Asta Care Center of Elgin. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Siems was employed by Elgin Watch Factory for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Nan Jean (Jack) Eckholm of Elgin and Vida Rae (John) Ciulik of California; granddaughter, Diana Lange of Elgin; grandsons, Cameron (Mari Ann) Coulson of California and Robert Coulson of Wisconsin; great-granddaughter, Crystal Lange of Elgin; great-grandson, Patrick Cowart of Elgin; niece, Dawn (Gilbert) Larson of Oswego; and nephew, Norman Ewert of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Siems, whom she married in 1945 and who died in 1976; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon today, at the funeral chapel.

John E. Smith of Prospect Heights
A memorial service for John E. Smith, 58, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
Born July 3, 1940, in Danforth, Ill., he died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at home.
John graduated from Illinois State and also attended Western Washington State College in Bellingham, Wash. He taught in Braidwood and Piper City, Ill. and taught math for 27 years at Wheeling High School, where he also served as concessions director, senior class sponsor and Student Counsel advisor. He graded math advanced placement tests for five years at Clemsen University.
John was involved in many volunteer activities. He was a member of local Kiwanis clubs and served in various division and district offices. He served on the board of directors and various committees for Woodhaven Association, Sublette, Ill. He was active at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, including participating in their Stephen Ministry program.
After retiring from Wheeling High School, he did freelance work on math textbooks for Addison Wesley Longman and continued volunteering, serving as PADS site director at Prospect Heights Community Church and First United Methodist Church as a volunteer driver, taking seniors to medical appointments, as a tutor for the Read to Learn program and doing mission work projects as part of the United Methodist NOMADS.
He is survived by his wife, Carol and daughter, Cynthia; and sisters, Laura Quinn of Del Rey Oaks, Calif. and Margaret Noble of Madison, Wis.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights (address listed above).

Ethel Toomey of Roselle
Funeral services for Ethel Toomey (nee Mullaney), 72, will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Walter Church.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph; devoted mother of Michael (Rene), Maureen (James) Drexler, Kevin (Cathleen), Terrence (Linda) and the late Melissa (Jeff) Adelman and Dennis; loved grandmother of 16; and great-grandmother of one.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Society.

Emmett L. Washburn, 79, of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, Carol Stream, (630) 510-0044.

Harold `Duke' Westerman of Elgin
Funeral services for Harold `Duke' Westerman, 89, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elgin.
Born Dec. 27, 1909, in Elgin, he died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Maplewood Care Center. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin.
Mr. Westerman had been employed as a bartender at the Hilltop Tap. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Elgin Moose Lodge #799 and a former member of the Riverside Club. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he had been an usher for many years.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia R. Stash Westerman in 1990.
Arrangements were made by Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
Masses or memorials to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.

Ellis Woodhead, 76, of Elgin, died Friday, March 19, 1999. Arrangements are being made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Agnes G. Wrobel of Elk Grove Village
Prayers for Agnes G. Wrobel (nee Kasper), 88, formerly of Chicago, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blockssouth of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Julian Eymard Church.
Mrs. Wrobel died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at ManorCare Nursing Home in Elk Grove Village. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Mrs. Wrobel retired from the Chicago school district after 20 years of service.
She was a former member of St. John Berchman Church in Chicago.
She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Wrobel Sr.; mother of Joseph J. Jr. (Lori) Wrobel, Louise C. (Edward) Pudlo, Robert W. (Linda) Wrobel and the late Beatrice Ann; sister of 10 late siblings; grandmother of David, Scott, Mary Jo, Susan, Edward, Jennifer and Sara; great-grandmother of nine; and aunt andgreataunt of many.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel.

Leonard D. Strom of Libertyville and Chicago
Private services for Leonard D. Strom, 75, will beheld today at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville.
Born March 12, 1924, in Chicago, he passed away Tuesday, May 18, 1999, in Lake Bluff.
Mr. Strom was a veteran of the Navy, having served in the Pacific during World War II. He was a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston and a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, May K. Strom, on Dec. 7, 1986, and is survived by many friends.

Dolores H. Vincolisi of Park Ridge
A memorial Mass for Dolores H. Vincolisi (nee Arndt), 81, formerlyof Wheeling, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Rd., Wheeling.
Born May 2, 1918, in Chicago, she died Saturday, May 15, 1999, at Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Park Ridge. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A retired secretary, she was the wife of the late Anthony Vincolisi and the late Robert Nielsen; mother of Carole (John) Doherty; grandmother of Sharyle (Jim Kirchner) Doherty and Kevin (Debbie) Doherty; great-grandmother of Thomas and David Doherty; sister of Leo (Carrie) Arndt; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. at Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect.
Memorials may be made to Addolorata Villa or Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

John D. Wozniczka of Grayslake
A Mass of the Resurrection for John D. Wozniczka, 82, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Gilbert Church, Grayslake.
He passed away Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A veteran of the Navy, John proudly served his country during World War II.
He was later employed as a carpenter with Libertyville Lumber under Union Local #1922, retiring at the age of 65. John was a member of St. Gilbert Church for 41 years as well as the Friendship Club and the Grayslake Senior Citizens Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Clara Wozniczka, whom he wed on May 13, 1940; daughters, Nancy (George) Heim and Susan (Lenny) Revelle; grandchildren, Wendy Heim, Holly Duhs, Michael W. Hubka and Jonathan and Steven Revelle; and great-grandson, Robert Lee Duhs III.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Patrick and Michael Wozniczka.
John will be dearly missed by his many loving relatives and friends.
Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Condell Hospice or to St. Gilbert Church.
