Elaine L. Parks formerly of Lake Zurich
Services for Elaine L. Parks (nee Beer), 70, of Mundelein, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
Born Feb. 19, 1929, in Mount Prospect, she died Saturday, March 20, 1999, in Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in Randhill Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Parks had been a resident of Lake Zurich from 1956 to 1993.
Survivors include her sons, William (Karen) and Kevin R. (Debra) Parks; daughter, Jo Ellen (David) Knipp; brother, Robert (Nancy) Beer; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Ralph Patterson of Elgin
Funeral services for Ralph Patterson, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Curt Gerald and Mark Lund officiating.
Born Feb. 22, 1914, in Dell Grove Township, Pine County, Minn., the son of Alfred and Rosella (nee Birdsall) Patterson, he died Sunday, March21, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Mr. Patterson retired from Conrad Electric after 33 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elginsince 1946, and a member of IBEW #117 of Elgin.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (nee Eich), whom he married Feb. 20, 1943, in Ashton, Ill.; son, O. Keith (Jean) Patterson of Sussex, Wis.; daughter, Diane J. (Robert) Blake of Elgin; grandchildren, Timothy Hughes, Kimberly Olsen, Rebecca Blake, Bryan Blake, Eric Patterson, Jennifer DeVine, Brian Langdon and Jeffrey Langdon; brothers, Harry (Mary) Patterson of Minneapolis, Minn. and Sylvester (Ruth) Patterson of Mundelein; and sister, Patricia (Stanley) Merika of Jefferey, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Carmella Patterson, in 1985.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at O'Connorand Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Vanita L. Russ of Barrington
Services for Vanita L. Russ, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Willow Creek Church, 67 E. Algonquin Rd., South Barrington, IL 60010.
Born Aug. 24, 1927, she died Friday, March 19, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A member of Willow Creek Church, she is survived by her sons, Jay (Lori) Russ, Mark (Andrea) Russ and Scott (Jeanni) Russ; grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, Carly, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Alex, Jason and Kyle Russ; and sisters, Betty Jo (Ronald) Dull and Peggy Arnold.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; and brothers, Ralph and Alvin Howell.
Memorials may be made to Willow Creek Church, at the address listed above.
Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Palatine.

Marie Schuller of Naperville
Services for Marie Schuller, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville. Rev. James R. Clinton and Rev. Kenneth Lehman will officiate.
Born Sept. 18, 1910, in Austria, she died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
She came to Naperville in 1968 from Chicago. Mrs. Schuller enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was active with the Naperville Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and the Alliance of the Transylvanian Saxons.
Survivors include her daughters, June (late George) Andrae and Elaine (late Dr. Eggert) Giere, both of Naperville; grandchildren, Barbara (Casey) Andrae-Kelly, Nancy Andrae, Gayle Andrae, Gretchen (James) Andrae-Teal, Stephan (Connie) Giere and Scott (Kathy) Giere, all of Naperville, and David (Eileen) Giere of Orland Park; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand- child.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank G.; and three sisters.
Memorials in Mrs. Schuller's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 999 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Maryann Tumilty Skeede of Bartlett
Services for Maryann Tumilty Skeede, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Born Feb. 12, 1909, in England, she died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Northwest Community Hospital. Burial will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
She is survived by her children, Irene Keeton, James Tumilty and Barbara Pedersen; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pauline Rotizza.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Cody Allen Sturges of Algonquin
Services for Cody Allen Sturges, 8, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin.
Born March 28, 1990, in McHenry, he died Friday, March 19, 1999, at home.
Burial will be private.
Survivors include his parents, Allen B. and Beth (nee Norgrenn) Sturges of Algonquin; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Norgrenn of Algonquin; and brother, Raymond J. `Woody' Sturges of Algonquin.

William `Gene' Thurston of Naperville
Services for William `Gene' Thurston, 58, will be held Tuesday, at Community United Methodist Church, 20 N. Center St., Naperville. (The time is pending).
Born Nov. 16, 1943, in Muskogee, Okla., he died Friday, March 19, 1999, at home.
Private interment will be in Naperville Cemetery.
Raised in Parsons, Kan., he had been a Naperville resident since 1982. Mr. Thurston was regional sales manager for Vicon Financial Services, and a member of the Naperville Country Club and Naperville Garden Club.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn of Naperville; daughter, Lorri Thurston of Naperville; and son, Craig (Holli) of Naperville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

Richard G. `Dick' Wilkins
Funeral services for Richard G. `Dick' Wilkins, 61, will begin at 8:45 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road (1/2 mile north of St. Charles Road), Elmhurst, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Wilkins was the owner of Don McAuliffe Buick and Mazda in Villa Park.
He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (nee Lockerbie); loving father of Donna, Thomas (Lauren) and Daniel (fiancee, Cara); proud grandfather of Samantha, Melissa and Abbey; dear brother of Robert (Dorothy) and Jay (Peggy); fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and friend to many.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Grade School or the Ray Graham Association.

Stanley W. Williams of Libertyville
Services for Stanley W. Williams, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born Feb. 16, 1918, in Libertyville, he passed away Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Libertyville, he was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Asian and Pacific Theaters during World War II. He was a member of the Libertyville American Legion Post #329.
Before his retirement, he had been employed by the Fiat-Allis Corporation in Deerfield.
Surviving are his daughter, Joanne (Han) Kim of Apex, N. C.; granddaughter, Alice (Vincent) Newcomb of Windham, N. H.; and great-grandchildren, Laura and Kathryn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret Williams; wife, Dorothy on Aug. 28, 1980; sisters, Frances and Mary; and brothers, Charles and Carl.
Friends of the family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Ellis Woodhead of Elgin
Services for Ellis Woodhead, 76, will be held at noon Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. The Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate.
Born July 15, 1922, in Scotland, to Daniel and Catherine (nee Tennent) Woodhead, he passed away Friday, March 19, 1999, at Provena St. JosephHospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, Mich.
Mr. Woodhead had been a resident of Elgin for the past three years. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a jeweler. A veteran of World War II, he had served in the Army and the Navy Air Corps. Among his special interests, he was a member of the Masons in Dearborn, Mich.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Woodhead (nee Walker); daughter, Cathy (Larry) Lanzon of Turlock, Calif.; son, Daniel (Joan) Woodhead of Wheaton; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Samuel (Patricia) Woodhead of Lake Orion, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. untilthe time of services at noon Tuesday, at the funeral home.
