Joseph H. Kosick
Prayers for Joseph H. Kosick, 85, of Lincolnwood, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mount Prospect. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Emily Church.
Born Nov. 22, 1913, in Chicago, he died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A retired jeweler, he was the husband of Lillian F. (nee Faul); father of Kathleen E. (Fred) Turner of Mount Prospect and the late Thomas J.; brother of Elmer (late Agnes), Harold (Eleanor), and the late Andrew (Mary) and Raymond (Helen); grandfather of Michael J. and Kelly K. Turner; and brother-in-law of George(Darlene) Faul and the late Helen Faul.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Josephine E. Krier
Services for Josephine E. Krier, 84, of Naperville, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles.
Born Feb. 10, 1915, in Fulton County, Ga., to David M. and Sarah (nee Briggs) Parker, she died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates.
Mrs. Krier was a registered nurse.
Among her special interests, she was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary inFlagler Beach, Fla.
She is survived by her sons, `Li'l Joe (Beverly) Thomason of St. Charles, and Milo (Ginger) andMike Thornton, both of Covington, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Nancy McCormick, Shirley Hallock, Renee Sesma, Joseph Thomason, Barbara Thomason, Catherine Manley and Shawn Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, R. G. Thomason, Frank Thornton and Gil Krier; son, Johnnie Thomason; and daughter, Renee Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Dottie Lowe of Batavia
Memorial services for Dottie (Dorothy J. )Lowe will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Congregational Church of Batavia.
The Revs. David Foxgrover and Linda Green will officiate.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles II and Gladys (nee Parry) Jones, she passed away Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva.
Interment will be private in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson, Ohio.
Dottie was salutatorian of her graduating class at Jackson High School in Jackson, Ohio. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority member, and also attended Ohio State University in Columbus. She receivedher teachers certificate from Aurora College in Aurora and a master of science degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Dottie became a third grade teacher at J. B. Nelson School, where she later served as an assistant principal. She next became the principal for Alice Gustafson School in Batavia, serving in that capacity from 1973 until her retirement in 1987.
Upon her retirement, Dottie became involved in numerous organizations. She was the Gifted and Special Coordinator for District 101, a board member and past president of Tri-City Family Services, and past president of the Kane County Elementary Principals Organization, from which she received the Organization Leadership Award. She was also an advocate and mentor for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), an active member of the Congregational Church in Batavia, a member of the Batavia Women's Club, a volunteer for DelnorCommunity Hospital and an RSVP member.
Surviving are her sons, Don (Kathie) Lowe of Savannah, Ga., and Geoff Lowe of Evanston; son-in-law, Dave (Lynn) Murphy of St. Charles; grandsons, Blair, Josh and Jon Lowe, and Patrick and Ben Murphy; and sisters, Winnie (Bob) McCormick of Columbus and Margie (Dr. Rollo) Lange of Madison, Wis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Lowe, and daughter, Nancy Lowe Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to CASA, Kane County Court House, Suite 460, 100 S. Nicholas Anthony Mapes-Lundsberg of Elgin
Services for Nicholas Anthony MapesLundsberg, onemonth, will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Rev. John Deck will officiate.
Born Feb. 25, 1999, in Hoffman Estates, the son of Michael T. Mapes Jr. and Christa R. Lundsberg, he died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
Surviving are his mother of Elgin and his father of Carpentersville; maternal grandparents, Larry and Reta Lundsberg of Elgin; paternal grandparents, Michael and Donna Mapes Sr. of Carpentersville; maternal great-grandparents, Thomas and Betty Lundsberg of Buffalo Grove; and aunts and uncles, Tom (Amanda) Richlen, Jodi Richlen, Larene (John) Theriault and Matthew Mapes.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Othel and Marie Allen; and paternal great-grandparents, George and Hazel Mapes and Robert and Marie Schrankel.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

Albert Marsala of Schaumburg
Services for Albert Marsala, 95, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Marcelline Church.
Born Dec. 8, 1903, in Palermo, Italy, he died Friday, March 26, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
He was the husband of the late Martha Marsala; father of Mae (James) Calabrese, Rose (Lou) Feid and the late Samuel Marsala; grandfather of Gene and Michael Pusateri, Laurene Calabrese and Lisa (Michael) Niemotka; and great-grandfather of eight.
Visitation will be from3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Jane A. McCabe of Skokie
Jane A. McCabe (nee Fowlie), 78, formerly of Evanston, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at her home. No services will be held at her request.
Mrs. McCabe was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Chicago. Interment will be private.
She had retired from Evanston/Skokie School District No. 65, in the food service department.
She was the wife of the late James C.; mother of Michael (Kathleen M. )of Skokie, Timothy P. (Theresa) of Palatine and Kathleen R. of Skokie; grandmother of Kelly, Kylene, Mary, Erin, Casey and Carly; and aunt and great-aunt of many.
Memorials may be made to the Niles Public Library, books on tape program, 6960 Oakton St., Niles, IL 60714 or Skokie Public Library, books on tape program, 5215 Oakton St., Skokie, IL 60077.

John K. McIntyre of Gurnee
Services for John K. McIntyre, 50, of Heather Ridge in Gurnee, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born Oct. 28, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., he passed away Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital. Interment services will be on Tuesday, in Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City.
Mr. McIntyre was a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School in Kansas City and also attended Donnelly College there. A veteran, he served in the Navy during the VietnamWar, in Hawaii and Okinawa, and was also a former member of the Naval Reserve. He was employed by Shepherd Chevrolet in Lake Bluff.
Among his special interests, Mr. McIntyre was a member of the Harley Owners' Group as well as St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee.
Surviving are his wife, Susan McIntyre (nee Galt) of Gurnee; daughter, Angela (Phil) Black and grandson, Cody, of Grand Junction, Ariz.; mother, Frances McIntyre of Overland Park, Kan.; brother, Barry (Julie) McIntyre of Independence, Mo.; sister, Mollie (George) Steinwart of Overland Park; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John K. McIntyre, in 1978.
Friends of the family may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund being established in John's memory.

Brice H. `Butch' Nielsen of Bartlett
Prayers for Brice H. `Butch' Nielsen will be said at 9 a.m. Monday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd. ), Roselle.
Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Carol Stream. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
He was the beloved husband of Carole `Chickie' (nee Stella); devoted father of Mark (Susan), Laura (Joseph Jr.) Mills and Karen (Chris) Brennan; dear brother of Kathleen (Bob) Pullia, Mary Beth (Wayne) Oleson, Dolores (Lloyd) Jones and Ann Marie Weidman; and fond grandfather of Billy Mills.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel.

Carmen E. Noble of Gurnee
A Mass of the Resurrection for Carmen E. Noble, 65, will be held at noon Monday, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road (corner of Hunt Club and Gages Lake Road), Gurnee. Rev. Farrell Kane will officiate.
Born May 30, 1933, in Belize, Central America, she passed away Thursday, March 25, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville.
She came to the United States in 1988 and had resided in Gurnee since Sept. 1998, formerly living in Chicago.
She leaves her children, Rosalia Campos, Suad Holder, Nour Rishmawy, Farida Rishmawy, Faud Rishmawy and Farid Rishmawy; grandchildren, Elizabeth Rishmawy, Kathryn Campos, Tara Holder, Donavan Holder and Brevel Holder; sisters, Olga and Trina; and brothers, Andres and Alfredo.
Friends of the family may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Monday, at the church.
Arrangements were made by Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

Rose Marie Noland (nee Braun), 89, of Downers Grove, died Thursday, March 25, 1999. Arrangements were made by Toon Funeral Home, Downers Grove, (630) 968-0408.

Dawn E. Nyberg of Downers Grove
Services for Dawn E. Nyberg, 46, formerly of Elk Grove Village, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, at Hallowell and James Funeral Home, 301-75th St., Downers Grove.
Born July 16, 1952, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Interment will be private.
She was employed as an executive secretary at Fairview Village in Downers Grove.
She was the wife of Bartley J., formerly of Elmhurst; daughter of Gerald and the late Margaret Wooley of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; sister of Jerry and Scott Wooley of Schaumburg; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
