Phillip A. O'Connell formerly of Arlington Heights
A funeral Mass for Phillip A. O'Connell, 78, most recently of Peoria, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Peoria.
Born Feb. 29, 1920, in Peoria, he died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Lexington Health Care Center in Lake Zurich. Intermentwill be in St. Mary Cemetery, Peoria.
He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine F. O'Connell; loving father of Phillip A. (Linda) O'Connell Jr. of Arlington Heights, Kevin S. (Sandra) O'Connell of Palm Desert, Calif., Dennis R. (Pam) O'Connell of Deer Park and Brian P. (Amy) O'Connell of Herndon, Va.; devoted grandfather of Maureen, Phillip A. III, Sean, Patrick, James, Steven, Megan, Daniel, Brett and Reilly; and great-grandfather of Taylor.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, at Wright-Salmon Funeral Home, 2416 N. North St., Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert T. Piasecki of Grayslake
Mass for Robert T. Piasecki, 65, formerly of Chicago, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. today, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born Dec. 21, 1933, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Piasecki, a veteran of the Army, was a retired employee of Mundelein High School. He had lived in the Lake County area for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (nee Olker); children, Mark (Nancy) Piasecki of Mundelein, Bob (Mary) Piasecki of Round Lake and Susan (Scott) Nicholson of Kenosha, Wis.; grandchildren, Justin, Steven, Kristin, Jessica, Erin and Eleanor Piasecki and Sarah, Katie and Jack Nicholson; and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 4761 W. Touhy Ave., Suite 211, Lincolnwood, IL 60646-9802.

Bertha Piekarski of Elgin
Private services for Bertha Piekarski, 69, will be held today at Stout-Madison Funeral Home, 252 S. State St., Elgin.
Born Oct. 30, 1929, in Whitesfish, Mont., the daughter of Davidand Bertha Gunya Hite, she died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Private burial willbe in Montana.
She is survived by her daughter, Penai Lucas of St. Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will not be a visitation.

Ted C. Ringman of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for Ted C. Ringman, 82, formerly of Barrington, will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday, at the St. John Chapel of the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights.
Born March 12, 1916, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
Mr. Ringman was the president of Graphic Litho Research Ltd. He was a graduate of Knox College and first president of the Barrington Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Ringman (nee Smith); and son, Ted (Judith) Ringman Jr.
Memorials may be made to the St. John Endowment Fund of the Lutheran Home.

Donald E. Rosborough formerly of Elgin
Services for Donald E. Rosborough, 76, most recently of Richland Center, Wis., will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. The Rev. Edward Davis will officiate.
Born Jan. 1, 1922, in Elgin, to John and Mabel (nee Johnson) Rosborough, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, in Richland Center. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery on Highland Avenue in Elgin.
Mr. Rosborough had been a resident of Elgin for most of his life before moving to Richland Center. He was employedas a parts man for the Ford dealers in the Elgin area and was also employed for 20 years with the Illinois Toll Road. He also farmed in the Elgin area before retiring.
Mr. Rosborough was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corps, and was a member of VFW Post 2267 in Richland Center. He was also a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pingree Grove and a member of the Farm Bureau in Kane County and Richland County.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Rosborough (nee Daus); daughter, Donna (Mark) Schutman of Fair Field, Iowa; son, Michael (Eileen) Rosborough of Stoddard, Wis.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Irene Steinmeyer, Myrtle (William) Schramm and Walter (Lucille) Rosborough, all of Elgin; and daughter-in-law, Susan Rosborough of Oak Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eugene Rosborough; brother, Earl Rosborough; and sisters, Dorothy Sarfalean and Elizabeth Schmeck.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p. m. Monday, at the funeral home.

William C. Schoppe formerly of Bartlett
Services for William C. Schoppe, 54, most recently of Butternut, Wis., will be held at 8 p. m. Sunday, at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 S. Bartlett Road (at Stearns), Bartlett.
Born March 19, 1944, in Elmhurst, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at home.
Cremation will be private.
He was the beloved son of Wilma Schoppe (nee Wille) and the late Elmer Schoppe; dear brother of John (Monica) Schoppe of Kingston, Ill., and Mark (Rita) Schoppe of Bartlett; and dear uncle of Steven.
Visitation will be from 3 p. m. until the time of services at 8 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Florence N. Schrader of North Aurora
Graveside services for Florence N. Schrader, 87, formerly of Sandwich, will be held at 11 a. m. today, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich.
Born Nov. 6, 1911, in Newark, Ill., to Torkel and Agnes Newton, she passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Schrader was a graduate of Sandwich High School and was employed at the Sandwich State Bank for more than 25 years, prior to her many years of loving health care that she provided both for her mother and husband. She was a Lutheran by faith, and an active church member throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her cousins, Rose Leech of Aurora and Bernice Blakely of Phoenix, Ariz.; and by a beloved neighbor, who was like a daughter, Betty Becker Bell of North Aurora.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic I. Schrader, in 1987.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 E. Wilson St., Batavia, IL 60510, or to the charity of donor's choice.

Donn B. Springer of Vernon Hills
Memorial services for Donn B. Springer, 47, will be held at 1 p. m. Sunday, at A. K. Barnett Funeral Home, 29 E. Route 45, Vernon Hills.
Born Sept. 22, 1951, he died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Springer was employed by Dental Arts Laboratory of Lincolnshire.
He is survived by his sons, Christopher, Joshua and Ryan, and daughter, Sarah, all of Vernon Hills; brother, Charles(Tracy) Sullivan of Altadena, Calif.; sister, Judy (Jerry) Rentner of Third Lake, Ill.; fiancee, Karen Hayden of Vernon Hills; and future stepdaughter, Dawn Taylor of Vernon Hills.

Mabel Talsma of Gurnee
Services for Mabel Talsma, 81, of Gurnee for the past seven years and formerly of Chicago, will be held at 11 a. m. Monday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born March 22, 1917, in Henry, Ill., she passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Provena St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, Ill., following the services.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Michelle) Talsma of Yorkville, Ill., Theresa (Edward) Fugelseth of Gurnee, William Talsma of Chicago and Nancy (Jesse) Aseves of Romeoville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Edith M. Mavity of Princeton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Vincenzo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Ida B. Williams of Wheaton
Services for Ida B. Williams (nee Donald), 81, will be held at 7:30 p. m. Monday, at DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4300 Yackley Ave., Lisle.
Born Sept. 29, 1917, in Florence, Ala., she died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at her home. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Wheaton for more than 40 years and was a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lisle.
She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Williams; loving mother of Carlton Massey, Earl Lynne Massey, and Yoshida, Judith, James and Lamont Williams; cherished grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of five. She was also the fond niece of Ada Bibbs and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce and Buddy Donald; and sisters, Charley Mae Harding and Shirlean Ratcliff.
Visitation will be from 6:30 p. m. until the time of services at 7:30 p. m. Monday, at the church.
Flowers to the family or contributions to the American Cancer Society in her memory would be appreciated.
