Roman Franczak formerly of Des Plaines
A funeral liturgy for Roman Franczak, 85, most recently of Sarasota, Fla., will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Born April 5, 1913, in Zielonki, Poland, he died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Franczak graduated in 1946 from the University of Liverpool School of Architecture in Liverpool, England. He was employed as an architect until retiring in 1975, and was a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Polish Club of Sarasota. During World WarII, Mr. Franczak served as a lieutenant in the Polish Army under British command. He was also a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota, Fla.
Survivors include his wife, Waclawa J. Franczak of Sarasota; daughters, Teresa Lewandowski and Halina Wleklinski, both of Arlington Heights; son, Ray Franczak of Palatine; sister, Helena Pawlak of Sedziszow, Poland; and seven grandchildren.
A visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to8 p.m., with a vigil service at 4 p.m., at Toale Brothers Gulf Gate Chapel, Sarasota, Fla.

Florence B. Gaughrin of Palatine
Services for Florence B. Gaughrin, 83, formerly of Harwood Heights, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.
Born March23, 1916, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at ManorCare in Rolling Meadows. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
She was the wife of the late James W. Gaughrin; mother of Carol (Robert) Siminak andLinda (John) Lauer; grandmother of James (Cynthia) Siminak, John (Trisha) Lauer and Jean (Brian) Buell; great-grandmother of Kailee Buell; sister of Loretta Nondorf; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Camille Hausser of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Camille Hausser (nee DeCarlo), 88, will be said at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Mass will follow at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 432 W. Park, Arlington Heights.
Born April 25, 1910, in Chicago, she died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Church Creek Nursing Home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
A resident of Church Creek Nursing Home in Arlington Heights, she was a secretary for the IRS for 22 years.
She was the wife of the late Edgar; mother of Donald (Diane) and Dorene (Fred) Knuefner; grandmother of Lester II (Helga), Kimberly (Natalino)Novielli, Brian (Michelle) Cednick, Edward (Melinda) Hausser, Donald Jr. (Joanna) Hausser and Eric Hausser; great-grandmother of Natalino Jr., Nico, Lester III, Alexandra and Brandon; sister of Joseph (late Ginky) DeCarlo, Genevieve (late Phil) DeMaio, and the late Michael (late Mary) and Raymond (Elaine) DeCarlo; and aunt of many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Viola E. Heckert (nee Dommeshousen), 81, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. Arrangements were made by Knollcrest Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 932-1500.

Margaret Fuhrman Hoban of Elgin
Services for Margaret Fuhrman Hoban, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, with the Rev. Martha Nelson officiating.
Born March 8, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Louis and Barbara Nagy Mayer, she died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Park, West Dundee.
Mrs. Hoban graduated from St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at Sherman Hospital prior to her retirement. She served with the American Red Cross during World War II.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Mayer; daughter, Barbara Richardson; granddaughter, Joanna Richardson; and grandson, Jason Richardson, all of Elgin; and many loving friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Fuhrman and her second husband, Dr. Thomas Hoban.
Please omit flowers; memorials would be appreciated to Anderson Animal Shelter, South Elgin, or Hosanna Lutheran Church, St. Charles.

Mary M. Kelly of Arlington Heights
Services for Mary M. Kelly (nee Sergant), 95, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at The Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 22, 1904, in Martinsville, Ill., she died Sunday, March 28, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in the Lutheran Home Cemetery.
She had been a resident of the Lutheran Home since 1967.
She was the wife of the late Edward; mother of John (Marjorie) Kelly, Edward R. Kelly and the late Wilma Jean Kelly; grandmother of Jacqueline, Catherine, Kimberly and Tanysha; and great-grandmother of Johnathon and Zachary.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services today, at the Lutheran Home.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home.

Fred E. LaMountain of Palatine
Services for Fred E. LaMountain, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Born March 9, 1926, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
A resident of Palatine for more than 50 years, he was a retired brick layer and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary LaMountain (nee Horsburgh) of Palatine; children, Sandi (Michael) Zelsmann of Plano, Texas, Bonnie LaMountain of Hayward, Calif., Nancy LaMountain of Palatine, Debra Lass of Stuart, Fla. and Fred S. (Carolyn) LaMountain of Lutz, Fla.; grandchildren, Cody LaMountain and Danielle LaMountain-Mendoza; brother, Walter (Delores) LaMountain of Arlington Heights; sister, Louise Walgren of Palatine; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Arthur LaMountain.

Services for Shawn A. Lenahan, 36, formerly of Bartlett, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett.
Born Feb. 9, 1963, in Arlington Heights, he died Monday, March 29, 1999, at University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital. Interment will be in Bartlett Cemetery.
Mr. Lenahan was owner and operator of the Professional DJ Academy.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Johnson); son, Shawnee Lenahan; parents, Joseph and Sharon Lenahan; siblings,Joe (Gina) Lenahan of Roselle, Sue (John) Wurtz of Carol Stream, Michael Lenahan of Naperville, Tim (Cathy) Lenahan of Bartlett and Mary (Dan) Tumin of Schaumburg; grandmother, Marion Colucci; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Tinker.

Ardella M. Nelson of McHenry
A funeral blessing for Ardella M. Nelson, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry, with the Rev. Thomas Burr officiating.
Born March 21, 1925, in Stacyville, Iowa, to Joseph and Gertrude (nee Weber) Kloeckner, she died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Des Plaines. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, McHenry.
Mrs. Nelson was raised and educated in McHenry and graduated from McHenry High School. She was a member of Church of St. Mary in McHenry.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy (Richard) Galli of Des Plaines; son, Steve Nelson of McHenry; grandchildren, Liz, Christine, Michael and Mark Galli; great-granddaughter, Nicole Galli; sister, Marion (Clarence) Wohlert of McHenry; and two brothers, Alex (Gloria) Kloeckner and Ernest Kloeckner, both of McHenry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Nelson, on April 7, 1988; her son, Michael Nelson; three sisters, Malinda Kloeckner, Alvina Kloeckner and Rosina Wohlert; and a brother, Gilbert Kloeckner.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral blessing at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Wayne A. Newell of Libertyville
Services for Wayne A. Newell, 75, will be held today, at BurnettDane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Friends of the family may call from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Libertyville VFW conducting Post Honors during the visitation.
Born June 29, 1923, in Hermansville, Mich., he passed away Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Condell Medical Center.
A resident of Libertyville for most of his life, Mr. Newell was a 1941 graduate of Libertyville High School. He was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Philippine Islands during World War II, and a member of Libertyville VFW Post #8741. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Newell was employed by the International Harvester Corporation. Among his special interests, he was a former Little League Baseball coach.
Surviving are his daughter, Debbie (Warren) Krueger of Libertyville; sons, Gary (Lisa) Newell of Libertyville, Kelly Newell of St. Charles and Neal Newell of Vernon Hills; and granddaughter, Sarah Newell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Newell; wife, Jane Holmgren Newell, on Jan. 9, 1992; sister, Eileen Shutich; and brother, Jack Newell.

Ann W. `Bobbie' Peterson formerly of Woodstock
Services for Ann W. `Bobbie' Peterson (nee Lucke), 88,most recently of Mesa, Ariz., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at McHenry County Memorial Park, 11301 Lake Ave., Woodstock, with Pastor Roger Schneider of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of McHenry officiating.
Born June 4, 1910, in Daggett, Mich., she died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa. Interment will follow the services.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Alfred; mother of Wayne (Beverly) Mikus of Harvard, Joan (Richard) Emmer of Harvard, Marjorie (Kenneth) LaBelle of Woodstock, Mary (Robert) Kitchin of Mesa and the late Elaine Mikus; sister of the late Edna Haute, Hattie Ernst, Minna Gruenstern and Dorothy Kuntze; grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of 19; and great-great-grandmother of one. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m., at the cemetery chapel.
