Funeral services for Hermine Duffy (nee Fograscher), 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born Oct. 20, 1908, in Chicago, she died Friday, April 9, 1999, in Schaumburg. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
Mrs. Duffy was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and was an active member of the quilting guild.
She was the wife of the late Glenn; mother of Virginia Kelly (Lee Stunkel) and the late Kathleen Miller; mother-inlaw of Ronald (Jean) Miller; sister of the late Margaret Wallberg; grandmother of Brian Kelly, Kathleen (Brett) Billings, Patricia (Richard) Ochs, Kevin Kelly, Pamela (Brian) Coyne, Jennifer (Matt) Walker and Ronald G. Miller; and great-grandmother of eight.

Herbert W. Elke a 42-year resident of Berwyn
Services for Herbert W. Elke, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Chicago, he died Friday, April 9, 1999, at Church Creek Nursing Center.
Interment will be in Glen Oak Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Elke was a retired 36-year employee of the CTA and a member of CTA Union Locals #241 and #308.
He was the husband of the late Julia (nee Fiala), who preceded him in death in 1939 and of Mary Alice (nee Stevenson), who passed away in 1988; father of William J. (Marcia) and Sandra J. (the late Paul) Schulstad; brother of Florence (Ted) Panos; grandfather of Linda (Mark) Shafernich, Lori Schulstad, Lance (Patti) Schulstad, William II (Loralyn) Elke, David G. (Stacey) Elke, and Elizabeth (De Wayne) Sherman; and great-grandfather of Addison, Alexander, Kari, Paul, Matthew, Christopher, Kyle and Liam.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Robert Craig Gibson of Carpentersville
Funeral services for Robert Craig Gibson, 43, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St. (at the corner of S. Third and Oregon St.), West Dundee, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church.

Born May 23, 1955, in Chicago, the son of Robert W. and Beatrice G. Gibson, he died Thursday, April 8, 1999, in McHenry.
Burial will be private.
Mr. Gibson was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in Carpentersville.
He is survived by his loving parents, Robert W. and Beatrice G. Gibson of Carpentersville; loving son, Robert Mark Gibson of Marengo; dear sister, Mary (Ralph) Johnson of Elgin; dear brothers, Mark E. (Wendy) Gibson of Bartlett and Don G. Gibson of West Chicago; dear nephew of John and Elaine Hrycyk; proud uncle of Ben and Jessica Johnson, Lauren, Megan and Erin Gibson; and his former wife, Teresa Thompson of Marengo.

Ralph E. Hagen of Mount Prospect
Services for Ralph E. Hagen, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mount Prospect.
Born May 5, 1921, in Chicago, he died Saturday April 10, 1999. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hagen was a veteran of the Coast Guard. He was an accountant and a volunteer at St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sally J. Hagen; daughter, Randi (John) Dawson; grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica; and sister, Marge (Charles) Cantrell.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Hwy.), Mount Prospect, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church.

Dorothy Clem Hull Hill of Hanover Park
A gathering celebrating the life of Dorothy Clem Hull Hill, 70, formerly of the Arlington Heights and Palatine areas, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, at 1648 Forest GlenAve., Hanover Park.
Born March 6, 1929, in Somerville, Mass., to George M. and Mary Frances (nee Duggan) Clem, she died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at RML Specialty Hospital, Hinsdale. Burial will be private.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane Hull of Hanover Park, Cheryl Fenske of West Chicago and Dorice (Patrick) Griffin of Grand Prairie, Texas; sons, Ralph G. Hull III of Houston, Texas, and John L. Hull of Hanover Park; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Hull; brother, Arthur Clem; and sister, Pauline Early.

Funeral services for Julie A. Jones, formerly of Florida, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Batavia, where she will lie in state from 6 p.m. until the time of services. The Rev. Mark A. Nilson will officiate.
Born Sept. 5, 1957, in Seymour, Ind., to Harold Kuhlemeyer and Launa Buwen, she passed away following an extended illness Sunday, April 11, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Jones wasa member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Batavia. She worked as a pharmaceutical technician at Delnor Community Hospital. Her hobbies included biking, fishing, reading and taking care of her dogs, Samcin, Samantha, Jessie, and her cat, Milk Toast.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; three daughters, Tina Stroup, Rachel Bedell and Ashley Jones; parents, Launa (James) Buwen and Harold (Shelia) Kuhlemeyer; three brothers, Allan, Brian and Craig Kuhlemeyer; two sisters, Sally Julius and Kimberly Spooner; three granddaughters, Julianna Stroup, Caleigh Stroup and Alexandria Bedell; her fond aunt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George King, Lucille Kuhlemeyer and Charles Patrick; and father-in-law, Claude Jones.

John `Jack' F. Kartheiser formerly of Winfield

Born Nov. 11, 1924, in Chicago, he died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
A former 37-year resident of Winfield, he served in the
Army-Air Corp as a flight lieutenantduring World War II.
He was the owner of the first `Die and Tool Company' of Chicago, which was established by his father in 1921.
He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church in Winfield where he also served in the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
He loved God, his family, life, a good laugh and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois; children, Mary (Joe) Jedlovec, John, Bill (Peggy), Sue (Rick) Sandberg, Nancy (Jeff) Palcer, Diane (Kevin) Keeney, Tom (Stephanie), Joan (Paul) Shankle, Patty (Kurt) Zeyen and Teresa (Joe) Smagacz; 24 grandchildren; sister, Marion (Jack) Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabel Kartheiser.

Mrs. LaBuda worked in the cafeteria as a server at Maine East High School for nine years.

Mr. Lally was a member of St. Patrick Church and had been a volunteer at Delnor Community Hospital for many years. He was a former West Chicago alderman. He was also a veteran, having served during the
Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Rita Lally; brothers, John (Lee) Lally of Batavia, William Lally of West Chicago and Richard (Connie) Lally of Naperville; brother-in-law, the Rev. Edward D. Skupien of Niles; sisters-in-law, Sr.
Gabrielle Skupien of Coral Springs, Fla., and Marie Zubek of Justice; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Margaret Lally.

Born Nov. 20, 1921, in Davenport, to Joseph M. and Margaret F. (nee Buckley) McGrath, she died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Genesis East Medical Center.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.
Mrs. Long was a memer of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Service Board. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.
Surviving are her husband, William K. Long, whom she married April 29, 1944, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport; daughter, MaureenKimmell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons and daughters-in-law, William M. and Peg Long of Schaumburg, and Mike and Teri Long of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Andrew, Jamin, Kevin and Tommy Kimmell, and Michelle, Steve, Kathy, Christie, Abby and Anthony Long; sister, Margaret Pracht of Bethel Park, Pa.; and sister-in-law, Margaret McGrath of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Gilhofer, in 1992; and brother, Joseph McGrath, in 1992.
