Bernard Shetsky
Services for Bernard Shetsky, 65, of Lake Villa, will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, atWeinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 N. Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
Born July 10, 1933, in Chicago, he died at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla. Burial will be in Randhill Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Survivors include his wife, Ursula (nee Nagel); children, Carmen Elleston, David (Marsha), Michael (Christi) and Steven (April) Shetsky, and Jennifer (Rob) Bahna; brother, Leonard (Isabelle) Shetsky; sister, Barbara (Harold) Rosenberg; and 11 grandchildren.

Margie Etta Svatik formerly of Union for 41 years Services for Margie Etta Svatik, 75, most recently of Capron, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. Pastor Cheryl Armstrong will officiate.
Born March 30, 1924, in Bruceville, Ind., to Charles and Ruth (nee Harwell) Hauhe, she died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
Survivors include her three children, Martin R. Svatik of Capron, Judy Fuller of Rockford and Karen (Jim) Proctor of Marengo; three grandchildren, Robert and Kristin Fuller and Hannah Proctor; sister, Betty (Bill) Watson of Martin, Tenn.; and brother, Harry (Dean) Hauhe of Martin, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Svatik, to whom she was married Feb. 16, 1941 in Iowa and passed away Aug. 18, 1978; infant granddaughter, Amy Sue Fuller; sister, Kathryn Wauford; infant brother, Donald Hauhe; and brother, Charles Hauhe Jr.
Visitation will befrom 3 to 9 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Marengo Rescue Squad or American Heart Association.

Ann R. Thorne of Naperville
Funeral services for Ann R. Thorne, 72, will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church, Green Trails and Naper Boulevard, Naperville.
Born Oct. 2, 1926, in New York City, N. Y., she died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
Mrs. Thorne had been a resident of Naperville for the past 20 years and had been employed by J. C. Penney asa manager at Yorktown Center.
Survivors include her son, William Thorne of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughters, Denise (Andrew) Jamrozy and Robin (David) Patton, both of Naperville; brother, Jack Montera of San Diego, Calif.; and grandchildren, Carter and Caitlyn Patton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances (nee Carbone) Montera.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Dianne Kennedy Wray of Wheaton
A memorial service for Dianne Kennedy Wray, 68, formerly of Downers Grove and Darien, will be held at 3 p.m. today, at First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove, 1032 Maple, Downers Grove.
Born July 27, 1930, in Caro, Mich., she died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at home.
Interment will be on Sunday, in Indian Field Township Cemetery, Caro.
Mrs. Wray was a graduate of Caro High School and worked for the University of Chicago at Argonne National Laboratory.
She was a member of the National Contracts Management Association and the YWCA, and was a volunteer for the Rape Crisis Center. Dianne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed jazz music, dancing, golf and travel.
Surviving are her husband, John Wray; children, Kevin L. (Donna) Hutchinson of Green Bay, Wis., and Karen H. Allodi of Wheaton; grandchildren, Rebecca A. and Ashley M. Hutchinson, and Katie D.
Allodi; brother, Gerald Joe Kennedy of Caro; and sisters, Gaye C. Kennedy and Denise B. Kennedy, both of Caro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Munro and Viola Johanna Kennedy; and sister, Myrna Jo Kennedy Colling.
Visitation will follow the services, from 5 to 7 p.m. today, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.

August W. Anneberg of Naperville
Funeral services and interment for August W. Anneberg, 85, will take place today in Fort Scott, Kan.
Born Oct. 24, 1913, in Leavenworth, Kan., he died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Tabor Hills Health Care Facility in Naperville.
He had been a resident of Naperville since 1994, moving from FortScott. Mr. Anneberg received his BA from the University of Kansas and taught music for more than 30 years in Prescott, Kan. He also owned and managed Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Scott. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, Retired Teachers Association, all in Fort Scott, as well as the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Scott, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Anneberg was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Virginia (Jack) Pradel of Naperville; sister, Emily (Charles) Graham of Blythe, Calif.; grandchildren, Timothy (Vickie) Pradel of West Chicago, Cris (Lisa) Pradel of Aurora and Jacqui Pradel of Naperville; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes (nee Trollman) Anneberg; wife, Virginia (nee Saunders) in 1983; sisters, Naomi Quick and Caroline Kelly; and brother, Frank.

Joseph Atkinson of Libertyville
Services for Joseph Atkinson, 74, will begin with prayers at 10 a.m. Monday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, Libertyville.
Born March 22, 1925, in Lake Bluff, he passed away Thursday, April 15, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services in Libertyville. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Atkinson was a 1942 graduate of Lake Forest High School and had been a resident of Libertyville since 1945 where he was a member of the St. Joseph Parish. A Navy veteran, he had served in Guam during World War II. Before his retirement, he had been a supervisor for Northern Illinois Gas Company in Elk Grove Village for 43 years.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine Atkinson (nee Ray) of Libertyville; children, Patricia (William) Schreck of Anchorage, Alaska, and Paul (Vicki) Atkinson of Buffalo Grove; grandchildren, Justin, Andy, Allie and Carly Schreck, and Delaney Atkinson; and brother, Matthew (Nancy) Atkinson of Park Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Mary Atkinson; and sisters, Mary Curnen, Sally Englebrecht, Margaret Atkinson, Roseanne Zack and Lauretta Ray.
Friends of the family may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Anna H. Berna of Elgin
A Christian wake service for Anna H. Berna, 99, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Wait- Ross-Allanson Funeral Home, 51 Center St., Elgin. A church service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Born Oct. 9, 1899, in Dundee, she died Friday, at Rosewood Care Center, Elgin.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Forresters.
Survivors include her son, James R. Berna of McHenry; sister-in-law, Opal Heimann of Elgin; daughter-in-law, Jean Berna of Elgin; five grandchildren, Donna (Larry) Richert, Alan (Linda) Berna, James (Eileen) Berna, Julie Berna and Jill Berna; five great-grandchildren, Lenn (Lidia) Berna, Emily Berna, Jon Berna, Chad Richert and Mike Berna; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Masses would be appreciated.

Cora K. Bestmann of Mount Prospect
Services for Cora K. Bestmann (nee Jaacks), 98, will be private.
Born Feb. 19, 1901, in Niles, she died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at ManorCare Health Center in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
She was the wife of the late August; mother of Evelyn L. (Edwin) Bartz of Barrington; grandmother of Linda J. (Don) Markus of Palatine; great-grandmother of Eric R. Hasley of DesPlaines, Shaun M. (Tammy) Hasley of Cary, Trent A. (Mary) Hasley of Mount Prospect, Diane Markus of Palatine and Laura Markus of Palatine; and great-great-grandmother of Brittany, August, Mitchell and Kenneth.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Rose Bliege formerly of Waukegan
Private services for Rose Bliege (nee Hlady), 85, most recently of Lady Lake, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the chapel of Northshore Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Born Sept. 4, 1913, in Utica, S. D., to Frank and Anna (nee Rehurek) Hladky, she died Friday, April 9, 1999, in Florida.
Mrs. Bliege lived in South Dakota for eight years before moving to Waukegan.
She was employed at Business Card, Inc., for 20 years and retired from National Press Inc. in 1979. Mrs. Bliege was also a member of I. T. U. Local #294.
She issurvived by her son, Robert (Ardala) Bliege of Lady Lake; grandchildren, Debra (Steven) Kocian of Gurnee and Scott(Titi) Bliege of Winter Garden, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Stacey Kocian, Matashia and Nicholas Bliege; and two sisters, Mae Rada of Rapid City, S. D. and Evelyn (Squire) Broel of Sturgis, S. D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 1989; son, Kenneth, in 1946; and brother, Edward, in 1975.

Katherine Budin of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Katherine Budin, 94, will be said at 10 a.m. today, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 432 W. Park St., Arlington Heights.
Born March 9, 1905, in Austria, she died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
She was the wife of the late John G. Budin; mother of John (Patricia A.) Budin of Arlington Heights and Mary Anne Leonard of Valhalla, N. Y.; sister of the late Nicholas Demcio; grandmother of Anne C. Budin, John J. Budin, Maria B. (Tony) Marchlewski, Paul M. (Ann Dwyer) Budin, Katherine M. Zimanzl, Ross F. Leonard and TracyA. Leonard; and great-grandmother of Tommy, Christopher, Anthony, Sean and Emily.

Santo Cerami of Schaumburg
Prayers for Santo Cerami, 90, will be said at 9:30 a.m. today, with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m., at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.), Roselle. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ida (nee DiSilvestro); devoted father of Santo `Sonny' (Debra) and the late Richard (Annie) Cerami; and fond grandfather ofmany.
