William Walter Leska
A funeral Mass for William Walter Leska, 66, of Henderson, Nev., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Gilbert's Chapel, Grayslake.
Born Oct. 6, 1932, in Chicago, he passed away Wednesday, April 14, 1999, in Nevada. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A paratrooper, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1986 after 30 years of service with Illinois Bell/AT&T, where he was employed as a large systems technician. He was a former vice president of the Twilight Twirlers Square Dance Club in Florida and active in promoting organ donation with LifeLink.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; children, William (Dorothy) Leska, Catherine (Michael) Latza and Michael (Diane) Leska; stepchildren, Terrence (Mary Ann) Carden and Andrea (Jeffrey) Kithianis; mother, Florence Leska (nee Kempinski); brothers, Michael (Maria) Leska and George (Margaret) Leska; grandchildren, Heather, Adam, Matt, Julia, Rachael, Andrew, Anne Marie, Coralie and Stavros; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Leska.
Friends of the family may visit from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Memorialdonations may be made to the family and will be directed to support organ donation/transplantation.

Robert W. Mauter of Winfield
Private funeral services were held for Robert W. Mauter, 50, of Winfield.
Born June 2, 1948, in Elmhurst, he passed away Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Mauter had been a resident of Winfield for 10 years and had previously lived in Wheaton for six years. He was a partner in the Liston & Mauter Law Firm in Wheaton and a member of the Illinois Bar Association.
He was the beloved son of Lillian and the late Walter Mauter; dear brother of Gerald (Diane) Mauter; and fond uncle of Michael and Jeffrey Mauter.
Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations, Ltd., Wheaton.

Ruth L. McChrystal (nee Savage), 81, of Schaumburg, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Arrangements were made by Michael's Funeral Home, Schaumburg, (847) 891-2900.

Howard A. Nelson of Schaumburg
Services for Howard A. Nelson, 91, formerly of Des Plaines, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Aug. 25, 1907, in Plano, Ill., he died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson was a retired pastor who founded three churches in the area.
Survivors includehis wife of 15 years, Elvira E.; daughters, Alice (David) Sullivan, Audrey (Ken) Pearson and Dorothy Nelson; sevengrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inis.
Visitation will be from6 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Frieda C. Pabst
Services for Frieda C. Pabst (nee Rappold), 94, of Chicago, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at Skindingsrude Funeral Home, 413 W. Main St., Whitewater, Wis.
Born Feb. 8, 1905, in Richmond, Wis., she died Friday, April 16, 1999, at St. Paul's House in Chicago.
She was the mother of Edward (Rosemary) Pabst ofDes Plaines; grandmother of James (Kathryn) Pabst, Gina (Ronald) Vera, John (Janea) Pabst and Amy Pabst; and great-grandmother of Emma, Theodore and Anne Pabst.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's House, 3800 N. California Ave., Chicago, IL 60618.

Max `Poppy' Parnell
Memorial services for Max `Poppy' Parnell, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake. The Rev. Lisle Kauffman will officiate.
Born Oct. 23, 1931, in Lake City, Ark., he passed away Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry, after battling manyillnesses.
Max was loved by many, including the nurses who cared for him. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Parnell, whom he married in 1976; son, Michael (Beth) Nickels-Wisdom; daughters, McGuffy Ann (William) Morris and Candace Jean (Rogelio) Roman; and grandchildren, Gwendolyn Teresa Morris, Rosalinda Roman, Rogelio `Boomer' Roman Jr., Valentine Lexie Roman, Michael Elias Roman, and Lily Anna Roman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Walter Parnell; and granddaughter, Dulce Jean Roman.
Inlieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 510 N. Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake, IL 60073.
Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

Irving L. V. `Bud' Paulson of Mundelein
Services for Irving L. V. `Bud' Paulson, 77, will be heldat 11 a.m. Monday, at Kristan Funeral Home, P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
Born Jan. 12, 1922, he died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital.
Interment will be in Ivanhoe Cemetery.
Bud was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy, and a member of the Mundelein American Legion Post #867, the Moose Lodge of Chicago and the Sheet Metal Local #73 of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel (nee Patino); children, Kathy Caplan, Carol Dungan, Bob (Toni) Paulson, Pamela (Brian) Weber and Connie Smedegard; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; and great-grandchild, Jose Antonio Serrano.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Thomas Jerome Quinn A memorial service for Thomas Jerome Quinn, 75, of Stuart, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Palm Beach Gardens Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
He died Thursday, April 15, 1999, after a long illness. A private graveside service is planned.
Mr. Quinn was a graduate of Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wis., Tri-State University in Angola, Ind., and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. He had worked at Boulevard National Bank in Chicago and also at Aurora National Bank, where he was president until his retirement. He and his wife had lived in Florida and North Carolina for 16 years.
Among his personal interests, Mr.
Quinn was a member of Masonic Lodge 139 in Geneva for 45 years and a member of the Palm Beach Gardens Christ Fellowship Church.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Donna Quinn (nee Anderson); daughters, Tana (Robert) Howard of Arlington Heights, Shirley (Roger) Wozniak of Tequesta, Fla., Colleen (Steve Moder) Quinn of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Sara Gossman of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Society or to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were made by All County Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, Fla.

Joseph A. Reising of Mount Prospect
A funeral Mass for Joseph A. Reising, 81, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Raymond Church, Elmhurst Road (Route 83) and Lincoln Street, Mount Prospect.
Born April 18, 1917, in Aurora, he died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Reising had served as a lieutenant inthe Navy in Washington, D. C., and Pearl Harbor and was a member of the Naval Reserve and the Retired Officers Association. He was a retired sales manager for Eaton Manufacturing Company. Among his other accomplishments, Mr. Reising had been an All-American basketball player at the University of Southern California in 1941 and was the founder of Mount Prospect Federal Savings and Loan.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Reising (nee Ferstel); sons, Joseph A. Jr., William G. (Mary) and Donald E. (Marie) Reising; daughter, Lauretta M. (Bruce) Letten; grandchildren, Claire, Will, John, Julie, Diana and Joseph Reising, and Matthew, Michael, Timothy and James Letten; brother, Richard Reising; and sister, Rosalie Kidd.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Valentine Reising.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church.
Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated.

Josephine M. Rickert of Naperville
Services for Josephine M. Rickert, 90, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Rev. Gregory Rothfuchs will officiate.
Born July 1, 1908, in Chicago, she died suddenly Friday, April 16, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be in Naperville Cemetery.
Mrs. Rickert was born and raised on Chicago's west side. She married Helmuth O. Rickert on Jan. 29, 1938, and they moved to Naperville. Primarily a homemaker, she was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, the Rebekuh Lodge and The Homemaker's Extension of the University of Illinois.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Rickert of Naperville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; parents, Dominic and Rosina (nee Quirino) Mattiaccio; and sister, Esther Sheehan.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Joan A. Rogers
A memorial Mass for Joan A. Rogers (nee Almquist), 79, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.
Born June 10, 1919, in Naugatuck, Conn., she died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at home. Burial will be private.
A member of Transfiguration Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Judson Rogers, and is survived by her children, Paul, Holly, Mark and Penny; and granddaughter, Kelly.
A memorial gathering will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday, in the vestibule of the church.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were made by Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, Wauconda.
