Polly L. Brandt of Schaumburg
Family and friends of Polly L. Brandt, 77, will gather at 9:30 a.m. today, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg, and process to St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, for a 10:30 graveside service.
Mrs. Brandt died Friday, April 16, 1999.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bill Brandt; loving mother of Pinky (Earl) Wenngren, Barb (Chris) Stafford, Linda (Frank) Rizzo, David (Sue) Brandt, Kelly (Stacie) Brandt, and the late Steve (Cathy) and Jimmy Brandt; dear sister of Mary Haymond; and cherished grandmother of 10.

William H. Carlson of Wheaton
Funeral services for William H. Carlson will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton.
Mr. Carlson was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Wheaton, and lived there his entire life.
He died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at home.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Mr. Carlson was educated in Wheaton schools and graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1933. A veteran, he served as a first lieutenant in the Army, and saw active duty in the Pacific during World War II. He married Lucille Hahn, the `girl next door, ' on April 16, 1944, in Wheaton.
Mr. Carlson was a retired owner of CarlsonPaint, Glass and Art Stores, Inc., a local family business started by his parents. William enjoyed a lifelong partnership in the family business with his best friend, brother Richard. He had been actively involved in the Wheaton community his whole life, beginning in the 1916 original Wheaton Fourth of July parade, riding as an infant in his mother's arms in a horse-drawn wagon. Other than wartime, he had been in every July 4th parade since.
He was a 50-year member of the Wheaton Lions Club, founding member and director emeritus of the DuPage Heritage Gallery, member and former president of the Flaxseed Club, member of the Wheaton History Center and the Wheaton Masonic Lodge, and member and past president of the Wheaton Community Association. Mr. Carlson was a member and served as a Sunday school teacher at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, a church his parents helped to found. In 1999, he was named Outstanding Citizen of Wheaton, a tribute he cherished as a lifelong ambassador of his favorite city. He was also a member of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, where he received the Ron Brinkman Award.
Mr. Carlson is survived by his sons, Ken (Gisela) Carlson, Mark (Nancy) Carlson and Keith (Ruth) Carlson; grandchildren, Bryan, Brad, Bernt, David and Beth, all of Wheaton; sister, Bernice Flynn of Nanuet, N. Y.; and first cousin, Vera Runstrom of Wheaton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; brother, Richard; and parents, Anton and Lydia Carlson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
The family suggests memorials to the DuPage Community Foundation, 110 N. Cross, Wheaton, IL 60187; the Wheaton History Center, 606 N. Main St., Wheaton; orSt. Paul's Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton.

William J. Connolly Jr. of Des Plaines since 1946
Funeral services for William J. Connolly Jr., 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Stephen Church.
Born July 13, 1918, in Chicago, he died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Connolly had been an attorney since 1955. An Army veteran of World War II, he was the past fire and police commissioner of Des Plaines and past president of the Des Plaines Optimists Club.
He was the husband of the late Virginia T. (nee Carlson); father of Keith V. Connolly of Des Plaines, Christine (Daniel) Page of Miramar, Fla. and Susan (Joseph) Clemente of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother of Robert (Martha) Connolly of Arkansas, John (Alice) Connolly of Oklahoma and the late Joseph Connolly; grandfather of Keith V. (Cindy) Connolly Jr., Kathleen (Michael) Gust and Natalie (Alan) Carkner; and great-grandfather of Kristina, Erika, Christopher, Taylour, Cody and Holden.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Memorials may be made to the Rainbow Hospice.

Lawrence F. Dittman of Hampshire
Funeral services for Lawrence F. Dittman, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Burlington, with the Rev. Jim Ilten officiating.
Born Aug. 4, 1925, in Plato Center, the son of Maulter and Nellie Pease Dittman, he died Friday, April 16, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Hampshire Center Cemetery.
Mr. Dittman graduated from Hampshire High School in 1943 and was a lifelong farmer. He operated a dairy farm for many years, and was president and later, general manager, of Hampshire Milk Producers. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Burlington and a former member of the Hampshire Lions Club. In 1948, Mr. Dittman married Barbara Anderson, who passed away in 1979.
In 1982, he married Mary Stevens Lampard.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his children, Steven (Nathalie Walker) Dittman of New Orleans, La., Randall Dittman of Bartlett and Laurie Dittman of Chicago; three stepsons, Mark (Janette) Lampard and Russell Lampard, both of Genoa, and Kent Lampard of Belvidere; stepdaughter, Carol Lampard of Petersburg, Ill.; two sisters, Ann Dittman of Hampshire and Mildred Struck of Sycamore; brother, Harold (Alta) Dittman of Hampshire, four grandchildren, Anderson, Christian, Jessica and Marlene Dittman; six stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, and at the church Monday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church, Hampshire Rescue Squad or Provena Home Care, 77 N. Airlite, Elgin, IL 60123.

Dorothy L. `Dottie' Drew of Naperville
Services for Dorothy L. `Dottie' Drew, 72, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville, with the Rev. Robert McWilliams officiating.
Born March 9, 1927, in Cameron, Mo., she died Friday, April 16, 1999, at her home. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Drew came to Naperville in 1951 from Chicago. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and her master of education degree from La Verne College in La Verne, Calif. She taught first and second grade for 30 years in Naperville School District #203 at Beebe, Highland, Elmwood and Maplebrook Elementary Schools. She was a member of the DuPage County Retired Teachers Association and also loved to readand play bridge.
Surviving are her son, Gary (Audrey) Drew of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Lory (Isaac) Santiago of Naperville; brother, James C. (Mary) Wood of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sister, Rowena Pfeifer of Morris, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florina (nee Crall) Wood; and husband, Walter Drew, in 1989.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials in Mrs. Drew's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 999 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Frieda S. Friedlund, 100, of Chicago, formerly of Westmont, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999. Arrangements were made by Toon Funeral Home, Westmont, (630) 968-2262.

Richard J. Holesha, 68, of Schaumburg, died Sunday, April 18, 1999. Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Schaumburg, (847) 882-5580.

Creighton C. `Clay' Webb II formerly of the Elgin area
Services for Creighton C. `Clay' Webb II, 56, of Roswell, N. M., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. The Rev. Loren Krout will officiate.
Born Feb. 1, 1943, in Monroe, N. C., he died Friday, April 16, 1999, at his home.
Burial will be in Plato Cemetery in Plato Township.
Clay graduated from Central High School in 1961. He enlisted in the Army in 1962 and served as a paratrooper in the Panama Canal Zone for four years. After his return from the service, he was employed by the Marison Company in South Elgin for several years while continuing his educationin microbiology and water treatment. Later he worked for the Elgin Sanitary District and the Illinois Department of Corrections Water Purification Plant in St. Charles. In 1989 Clay moved to New Mexico where he worked for the State of New Mexico Department of Engineers - Water Preservation Division.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Alice Arians; brothers, Michael (June) Arians and Eric Arians, both of Plato Center; niece, Amy (Bradley) Arians Bumstead of South Elgin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by many friends in Roswell, especially Dudley and Debbie Pruitt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Creighton C. Webb; paternal grandparents, Carl and Edna Webb, and Carl and Nettie Arians; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Rose Yurs; several aunts and uncles; and his cousin, Dale Brooks, who died in the Korean War.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Carl A. Johnson of Elburn
Services for Carl A. Johnson, 61, formerly of Geneva and St. Charles, will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, at YursWittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva. The Rev. Robert Kasperson will officiate.
Born March 14, 1938, in Chicago, to John and Helen Johnson, he passed away Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Countryside Care Center in Aurora.
Mr. Johnson was the owner of the Kaiser's Five and Dime Stores, the Golden Thimble Fabric Stores in Geneva and St. Charles, Kaiser's Unfinished Furniture Stores of West Chicago and St. Charles, and Kaiser's Flowers of St. Charles.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Johnson; sons, Mark Johnson of Carson City, Nev., and David (Kris) Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Ralph (Helen) Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Betty LaMotte of New Albany, Ind.; and grandson, Steven Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Elisa W. Julian of Buffalo Grove
Graveside services for Elisa W. Julian (nee Windmiller), 39, formerly of Glenview, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, in Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. Rabbi Benzion Kaganoff will officiate.
Born in Chicago, she died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Julian had been a resident of Buffalo Grove for the past seven years and was employed as an advertising sales representative. A gifted artist, she had received her bachelor of arts degree in 1998 from Northeastern Illinois University, where she had majored in fine arts.
She was the beloved wife for nine years of James C. `Jules' Julian; cherished daughter of Franklin (Gloria) Windmiller and Nancy Windmiller (nee Gorell); dear sister of Deena (Gary)Davis; dear stepsister of David (Tina) Klein and Rhea (Keith) Winscom; and beloved lifelong friend to many.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Brookfield Zoo would be appreciated.

Otto Kaiser formerly of Arlington Heights
Services for Otto Kaiser, 94, most recently of Charlotte, N. C., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Arlington Countryside Church, 916 E. Hintz, Arlington Heights, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Born Feb. 27, 1915, in Rhinland, Germany, he died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Carmel Hills Retirement Home, Charlotte, N. C. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Mr. Kaiser was a maintenance supervisor for Sears in Chicago for 34 years. He was one of the founders of Living Waters BibleCamp in Westby, Wis., and the Carmel Hills Retirement Home in Charlotte.
He was the husband of the late Elisabeth (nee Sumper); father of Helmuth R. (Margaret) of Hawthorn Woods, Kurt F. (Patricia) of Waco, Texas, Martin S. (Anita) of Riverwoods, Gerhard O. (Lydia) of Chicago and Sigrid (Gerhard) Schultz of Barrington; brother of Ewald (Lucienne) Kaiser of Chicago and Siegfried Kaiser of Downers Grove; grandfather of 20; and great-grandfather of 32.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Memorials may be made to Living Waters Bible Camp, Westby, Wis.

Gertrude Lenzen of Round Lake
A funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Gertrude Lenzen, 86, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Church in Round Lake.
Born Feb. 3, 1913, in Montello, Wis., she passed away Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Victory Lakes Nursing Home in Lindenhurst.
Mrs. Lenzen had been a resident of Round Lake for 50 years and a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church in Round Lake. She had graduated from the nurses training program at St. Therese Hospital in 1936.
Survivors include her sons, Fred (Lynette) Lenzen and William (Penny) Lenzen; grandchildren, Dawn Lenzen and Sommer (Gary Jr.) Matthews; brother, Edward (Francis) Maloney; sisters-in-law, Hazel Maloney, Betty Lenzen, Theresa (Fred) Dietz and Marcella Kohler; special friends, Kathy Garland, Lillian (Ed) Frost, Theresa (`Sweet' Bob) Seivert, Winnie Cox and Jack Molidor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick R. Lenzen, in 1991; great-grandson, Mason Matthews; sisters, Marie Solon, Helen Lashock and Grace Maloney; and brothers, Gerald and James Maloney.
Friends and family may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
