Mildred J. Bartrem formerly of Deerfield
Services for Mildred J. Bartrem, 75, of Merrillville, Ind., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.
Born Oct. 24, 1923, in Chipley, Fla., she passed away Wednesday, April 21, 1999.
Interment will be private.
Mrs. Bartrem was a member of the Merrillville United Methodist Church and a life member of the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Deerfield Woman's Club and Stagers Community Theater and was a former playground supervisor at Wilmot School in Deerfield. She was a former member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Roy; daughters, Diane (John) Jensen of Cary and Pam Hedges of Kirkland, Ill.; grandchildren, Mike Jensen of Fox River Valley Gardens, Patti (Carl) Boni of Cary, Tim (Beth) Jensen of Rockford, Wendy Hedges of Chicago and Brad Hedges of Brookfield, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Carl and Caitlyn Boni of Cary; sisters, Louise Hammond of Florida and Wilma (Chester) Ciznak of Calumet City; and brother, Tom Vickers of Frankfort, Ind.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 127 Dearborn St., Chicago, IL 60602.

William F. Bochnik, 82, of Itasca, died Wednesday, April 21, 1999. Arrangements were made by The Oaks Funeral Home, Itasca, (630) 250-8588.

Cornelia L. Boss of Grayslake
Funeral services for Cornelia L. Boss, 93, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, with the Rev. Greg Wiggins of the Living Waters Church officiating.
Born in Switzerland Oct. 19, 1905, she passed away quietly at her home Monday, April 19, 1999. Interment will follow the services in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
Mrs. Boss came to the United States from Switzerland in 1929 and has made her home in Grayslake for more than 39 years.
She leaves two sons, Neel (Joy Louise) Boss of Grayslake and Melvin (Darlene) Boss of Danville, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Deborah D. and Walter L. Boss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter K. Boss, in November 1979.

Carolyn Devlin Burkett of Palatine
A memorial service for our cherished, adored, loving mother and friend, Carolyn Devlin Burkett, formerly of Arlington Heights, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Countryside Unitarian Universal Church, 1025 N. Smith, Palatine. We welcome your love and prayers in celebration of our mother's life and beauty.
Born Oct. 7, 1922, in Reading, Pa., she passed away Friday, April 16, 1999.
She graduated from Reading High School in the class of 1939, when she was 16 years old. Her first job was at the Berks County District Attorneys office from 1939 to 1945. From 1946 to 1947, she worked for Carpenters Steel as an executive secretary.
She married, and her first son, Darryl Scott Burkett was born in Reading in 1947. Her second son, Blake Richard Burkett was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1951, and her third child, a girl, Candace Lynn Burkett was born in 1955, in Arlington Heights. She had four beautiful grandchildren and many, many loving friends. All of us will hold her spirit and memory forever in our hearts.
We love you Mom!!!

Gertrude Cesario formerly of St. Charles
A funeral Mass for Gertrude Cesario, 84, a resident of the Timothy Wheeler House in Concord, Mass., formerly of Elmhurst and St. Charles., will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick's Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles. The Rev. Stanley Staniszewski will officiate.
Born Jan. 11, 1915, in Chicago, to John and Mamie (nee India) Mikolajeski, she died Monday, April 19, 1999, at Emerson Hospital in Concord. Interment will be private.
For 26 years, Mrs. Cesario had made her home in Elmhurst, moving to St. Charles in 1981. While in St. Charles she was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
Mrs. Cesario had also spent several years in Boca Raton, Fla., finally moving to her home in Concord in 1995. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed gardening and was an avid bridge player. She also was fond of cooking for family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Perry of Concord; sons, Richard Cesario of El Dorado Hills, Calif. and Robert Cesario of St. Charles; sister, AgnasJennewine of Boca Raton; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Albert R. Cesario, in 1978.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Golden Diners, 1031 E. State St., Geneva, IL 60134.
Arrangements were made by Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles.

John Chang of Schaumburg
Services for John Chang, 54, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born Feb. 28, 1945, in the Philippines, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, in Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Chang was employed as an engineer for Fox Television and was a member of the Masons.
He was the beloved husband of Linda Chang(nee Penacerrada); loving father of Derek John, Johanna Lynn and Lindsey Jan Chang; cherished son of Kimning Cong; dear brother of Yuochein (Linda), Daniel (Emma), Eli (Joyce), Joel, Jonathan (Jonabelle), Leilien, Jane (Perry) Apilando, Grace and Joy Cong; and fond nephew of Dr. Norman (Noemi) Parroco and Kimnoy Leong.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 3 p.m. until the time of additional services at 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Helen G. Clarno of Batavia
Funeral services for Helen G. Clarno, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. The Rev. Phillip D. Lund will officiate.
Born July 17, 1902, in Champaign, the daughter of Walter and Mac Birdzell, she passed away Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Aurora Manor. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
Helen was a 1920 graduate of Urbana High School. She was a devoted homemaker and avid sports fan. She was also a former member of the Batavia Woman's Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Peterson of Batavia, Nancy Clark of Batavia and Sally (Gene) Baum of Lake Carroll, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Hegenbart of San Diego, Calif.; three nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mae Birdzell; husband, Lyle `Dutch' M. Clarno; three brothers, Charles, Stanley and Roy Birdzell; son-inlaw, Harold F. Peterson; and great-granddaughter, Lisa Peterson.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Pastor Lloyd R. Davis
A wake for Pastor Lloyd R. Davis will be held today at Christian Fellowship Church, 621 Belvidere St., Waukegan. The sanctuary will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. to those who mourn his passing. His funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church, and the committal ceremony will follow at the Northshore Garden of Memories Cemetery, North Chicago.
Born Aug. 8, 1935, in Trumann, Ark., to Henry Alfred and Clara Davis, he passed away Monday, April 19, 1999, at the Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, Ill.
Pastor Davis will be greatly missed by the family and friends of Christian Fellowship Church Ministries International.
He founded Christian Fellowship 25 years ago last March 24 and continued as the ministry's Bishop until his passing. His death will be felt around the world by the many lives he has helped by his example of faith and love for God. The sum of his numerous accolades could never adequately represent the legacy he has left behind. His legacy will best be witnessed in the lives of those who will forever be inspired by the testimony of pastor L. R. Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Hazel Davis; brother, Raymond Davis; sisters, Lois Parham and Vivian Henderson; son, Larry (Katie) Davis; daughters, Debra (Peter) Paine and Pamela (Edward) Thomas; and grandchildren, Adam, Holly and Heather Paine, Christine (Mark) Sanders, Kathy Thomas, and Danielle and Rebecca Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harlan Davis.
Arrangements were made by Marsh Funeral Home, Waukegan.

Jeffrey R. Deal of Elgin
Memorial services for Jeffrey R. Deal, 47, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the chapel at All Saints Polish National Catholic Cemetery, 9201 W. Higgins Road, Chicago.
Born June 7, 1952, in Chicago, the son of Robert and Genevieve Deal, he died Monday, April 19, 1920, in Sherman Hospital.
Mr. Deal had lived in Elgin since 1975, and was the former owner of City Cash Register Store in Elgin. He was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Polish National Catholic Church of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Litgen Deal; daughter, Lauren Deal of Elgin; his parents, of Elgin; sister, Ellen Anderson of Elgin; aunt, Lorrie Szaffran of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes. Association.
Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Dino A. DiDomenico of Glendale Heights
Prayers for Dino A. DiDomenico, 83, formerly of Naperville, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 26 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Born Sept. 25, 1915, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. DiDomenico served in Europe with the Air Force During World War II. He was employed for 35 years with GTE in Northlake. He lived in Naperville for more than 20 years before moving to Glendale Heights six years ago. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his sister, Olivia (Herman) Divito of Des Plaines; brother, Renio (Nina) DiDomenico of Naperville; special friend, Irene Wagar of Lisle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Elisa (nee Melone) DiDomenico; brothers, Louis and Amelio DiDomenico; and sisters, Betty Mondia and Angela Pugh.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. DiDomenico's name may be made to the donor's choice.

Anna Kozelka Dillon formerly of Libertyville
Memorial services for Anna Kozelka Dillon, 94, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at First Presbyterian Church, at Maple Ave. at Douglas, Libertyville.
Born Aug. 10, 1904, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Barbara (nee Clzek) Kozelka, she died Thursday, March 11, 1999.
Anna and her husband, Richard, lived in Libertyville since 1926. They operated Dillondale Farm, producing and retailing eggs and chickens, until 1963. They were 60-year members of the Libertyville Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Dillon was active in the choir, Ladies Aid, and was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years and in charge of the Cradle Role. She blessed everyone with her faith, service and unselfishness. She served on the Libertyville Township High School Board of Education for several terms. The Dillons were also active in the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society. They moved to Oak Crest in DeKalb in 1985.
She was the wife of the late Richard M. Dillon, who had died Dec. 24, 1989, they were married for more than 63 years; and mother of Richard J. (the late Susan) Dillon of Sequim, Wash., William S. (Cathy) Dillon of Arlington Heights and Elizabeth D. (the late Robert H. Jr. )Page of Ocean Springs, Miss. She is also survived by three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert F. Kozelka of Peoria; and sister, Edith Kozelka McKinley of Wellman, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard L. Kozelka, J. Benjamin Kozelka and E. Paul Kozelka.
Memorials may be made in Anna's name to the First Presbyterian Church, Box P, Libertyville, IL 60448.
