Shirley `Hen' Stang of Round Lake Beach
Services for Shirley `Hen' Stang, 67, will be held at noon Tuesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born July 1, 1931, inLibertyville, she passed away Friday, April 23, 1999, at her home. Interment will be in Fremont Center Cemetery, Fremont, following the services.
Among her special interests, Mrs. Stang was an avid Bingo enthusiast.
Survivors include her husband, George Robert Stang Sr.; children, Debora (Edward) Wallis, George Robert (Sharon) Stang Jr., Karen Stang, Thomas (Jane) Stang, Michael (Susan) Stang, Catherine Stang, Donna (Daniel) Uyttebroeck; Donald (Pauline) Stang, John (Kellie) Stang, Mark Stang, William Stang and Tammy Stang; grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Joshua, Brian, Gina, Lisa, Sam, Michael, Kyle, Collin, Justin, Robert, Daniel, Brian and Bingo; sister, Roseanne Lazzaretto; godchild, Joanne Wolfe Lazzaretto; very special niece, Betty Seelye; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Catherine Dietz; seven brothers; three sisters; son, Joseph Stang; and grandson, Bryan Uyttebroeck.
Friends may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Provena Star Hospice or to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

Esther M. Walsh of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Esther M. Walsh (nee McHugh), 88, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born Oct. 16, 1910, in Chicago, she died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, James of Arlington Heights, Robert (Carol) of Park Ridge, Gerard (Maureen) of Hinsdale, Patricia (Michael) Purcell of Park Ridge and John of Chicago; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary (Donald) Bartleman; and sister-in-law, Jean McHugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Walsh.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Barbara M. Wilkin (nee Dillon), 83, formerly of Oak Park, died Thursday, April 22, 1999. Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, Villa Park, (630) 832-4161.

Nathan Woods of Elgin
Services for Nathan Woods, 59, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at St. James A. M. E. Church, 1100 Summit St., Elgin.
The Rev. Willie Tate and the Rev. Francis Senyah will officiate.
Born Aug. 5, 1939, in New Madrid, Mo., to C. B. and Mattie (nee Green) Woods, he died Wednesday, April 21, 1999. Burial will be inRiver Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Woods had been employed by Hills McCanna for 30 years and was a member of Progressive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Woods (nee Brandon); sons, Carl, Michael, Raymond L., Terry L. and Steven A. (Elizabeth) Woods; daughters, Sharon D. and Sandra D. Woods, and Shilia A. (Jeff) Slaughter; stepson, Keenan (Ernestine) Brandon of Richton Park; brothers, Sam and Robert Woods; sisters, Mertle, Mary and Mattie Woods, all of Elgin; ex-wife, Marie Grey Woods of Elgin; special friend, Grover Sanders; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, J. C. Woods.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, at the church.

Lorraine E. Andermann of Lombard
Services for Lorraine E. Andermann (nee Turek), 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Rd., Lombard. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Pastor Duane Feldmann will officiate.
Mrs. Andermann died suddenly Friday, April 23, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
A 12-year Lombard resident, she was a member of PeaceLutheran Church. She was a 1939 graduate of Morton East High School in Berwyn. She was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in LaGrange, where she had been active for 39 years. Mrs. Andermann was also a former member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League at St. John's and had been a Sunday school teacher there. She was a former volunteer at LaGrange Community Hospital.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph Andermann Jr. of Oakridge, Tenn. and Ronald (Anna) Andermann of Arlington Heights; daughter, Marilyn (Ralph) Reid of Downers Grove; grandchildren, Denise (Troy) Burgh of Indiana, Ralph Reid Jr.
of Ohio, Karen Andermann of Arlington Heights, Shawn C. Reid of Downers Grove, Craig Reid of Downers Grove and Beth Andermann of Arlington Heights; and brother-in-law, John (Gerri) Andermannof Downers Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph in 1997.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Memorials to Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Rd., Lombard, IL 60148, would be appreciated.

Iola M. Bagg of Elgin and South Elgin
Private graveside services for Iola M. Bagg, 93, will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich.
Born Aug. 24, 1905, in Kaneville, to John and Lena (nee Hirtz) Macier, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Rosewood Care Center, Elgin.
Mrs. Bagg had been a resident of South Elgin for more than 40 years before moving to Elgin. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Gerlach-Barklow in Joliet.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Bagg, in 1986; sisters, Edna Mae Macier and Mabel Stanfel; brothers, Hubert and Clifford Macier; and stepsister, Ellie Adams.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Barbara T. Baker of Libertyville since 1987
Funeral services for Barbara T. Baker, 56, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at United Methodist Church, 429 Brainerd Ave., Libertyville.
Born Aug. 28, 1942, in Shreveport, La., she passed away Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Interment will be in Centuries Memorial Cemetery, Shreveport.
Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, and was employed as a registered nurse and senior medical analyst for Abbott Laboratories, Hospital Products Division. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Libertyville, where she served as chairman of the board of trustees, chairman of the administrative board and president of the United Methodist Women. Barbara also chaired thebi-annual rummage sale at the church and was on numerous other committees.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Baker; two children, Byron Prest of Phoenix, Ariz. and Alisa (Matthew) Kennedy of Baton Rouge, La.; two grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Kennedy; her mother, Mellie Thompson; two brothers, John (Janice) Thompson of Keller, Texas and hertwin, Robert (Barbara) Thompson of Napa, Calif.; and sister, Joan Hunt of Denham Springs, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Thompson and by her daughter, Stephanie.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

Theresa G. Becerra of Naperville
Services for Theresa G. Becerra, 78, will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at BeidelmanKunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 26 N. Ellsworth, Naperville.
Born Oct. 16, 1920, in Mexico City, Mexico, she died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at ManorCare in Naperville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Becerra came tothe Chicago area 46 years ago. She retired in 1992 after 20 years as a presser for Midway Cap Company in Chicago.
Surviving are her husband, Alfonso Becerra of Naperville; daughters, Louisa C. Chmielewski of Chicago, Josie Z. (John P.) Roach of Naperville, Angie T. Becerra of Chicago, Dolores S. (Greg) Peters of Chicago, Rose C. Becerra of Chicago and Coco G. (Javier) Botello of Chicago; son, Alfonso A. Becerra Jr. of Chicago; brothers, Enrique (Gricelda) Munguia of Mexico City, and Frank (Mary) Garcia of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; sister, Carmen Garcia of Mexico City; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique Garcia and Luz (nee Munguia) Soltelo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Robert L. Bergmann of Lombard
Services for Robert L. Bergmann, 62, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 350 E.
Madison, Lombard, where he will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. The Rev. Jack P. Kane will officiate.
He died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at his home. Interment on Wednesday will be private, in Windridge Cemetery, Cary.
Mr. Bergmann was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He was Scoutmaster for Troops 53 and 242, committee chair, commissioner and district chairman, and an advisor for the Order of the Arrow. He held the Vigil, the highest rank in the Order of the Arrow, and had been awarded the Silver Beaver, the highest award from the Council.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Bergmann (nee Anderson); sons, Steve (Merry) Bergmann of Lombard and Gregory (Sue) Bergmann of Wheaton; grandchildren, Alexander and Daniel Bergmann of Lombard, and Jessica and Julia Bergmann of Wheaton; and brother, David (Shelia) Bergmann of Lombard.
Visitationwill be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.

Craig J. Boydston of Evanston
A memorial visitation for Craig J. Boydston, 25, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gilbert Church, Grayslake, with private burial services to follow.
Craig liked music, traveling and hiking, and loved his Jeep.
He is survived by his parents, Gene and Robin; sisters, Kimberly (Martin) Mayer and Brenda (Jason Stoneham) Boydston; grandparents, Irving and Ethel Roane; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his friend, Boda.

Melanie O. Breh of Glen Ellyn
Services for Melanie O. Breh, 87, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Christian Reformed Church in Wheaton.
The Rev. John F. Schuurman will officiate.
Born Feb. 25, 1912, in the Peru/LaSalle, Ill., area, she died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Vencor Hospital in Northlake. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
Mrs. Breh had been a resident of Glen Ellyn for the past 46 years. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a secretary for Fox Realtor in both the DuPage and Kane County offices and for the Multiple Listing Service at the Wheaton office. She was associated with Gideons International and was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Wheaton. In addition she served as an election judge in Milton Township, DuPage County, for 35 years.
She was the beloved wife of Walter C. Breh of Glen Ellyn; loving mother of Marlys Heim of Glen Ellyn; devoted grandmother of Wendy Heim; dear sisterin-law of Fred Petters; fond aunt of Gary Petters and Nadine (Fred) Troy; and great-aunt of Bridget and Katrina Troy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose Overoeder; and sister, Enid Petters.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 565 Duane, Glen Ellyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Breh's name to a charity of donor's choice.

Nella Cecchi
Services for Nella Cecchi (nee Moretti) will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Theresa Church.
She died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gino Cecchi; devoted mother of Robert (Anna) and Roy (Donna) Cecchi; loving grandmother of Deborah, Karen (Gary), Ambrose, Linda (Walter) Splitt, Steven (Linda), Melodee (James) Bowers, Daniel (Katy) and Todd Cecchi; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also the dear sister of James (the late Elva) Moretti and the late Lino (Rena) Moretti, Ilide (Guido) Stefani and Ella (Louis) Kramer; and caring aunt of many.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
