Bonnie J. Combs of Elgin
Services for Bonnie J. Combs, 50, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Community Funeral Home, Route 25 (between Routes 72 and 68), East Dundee, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. Monica Catholic Church, Carpentersville.
She died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Elick J. Combs Sr.; loving mother of Anthony (Teresa), Elick (Kelly) and Adam (Bonnie) Combs; dear sister of Alfred and Karen Knuth; and cherished grandmother of eight.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

John O. Dahlberg of Naperville
A memorial service for John O. Dahlberg, 81, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, at Community Methodist Church, 20 N. Center St., Naperville. The Rev. Thomas Babler will officiate.
Born Dec. 10, 1917, in Minneapolis, Minn., he died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Tabor Hills Nursing Center, Naperville.
Interment will be private.
Mr. Dahlberg had been a resident of Naperville since 1955. A 1941 graduate of the University of Minnesota, he had played trombone in a number of dance bands to work his way through college.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and taught at the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., for three years. For 36 years he was employed with Illinois Bell Telephone as a district engineer and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Mr.
Dalhberg served on the school boards of both Woodridge District #68 and Naperville District #203 for a total of 15 years.
He had also been a member of Community United Methodist Church in Naperville since 1955.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Dahlberg (nee Schloerb); son, Eric (Robin) Dahlberg of Eagle River, Wis.; daughter, Janice Lynn (Michael) Onderdonk of Jackson, Mo.; grandchildren, Kara, Kristofor and Kyle Dahlberg, Sarah Onderdonkand Andrea Peterson; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Harry R. (Elizabeth) Dahlberg of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Ida Dahlberg.
Memorials in Mr. Dahlberg's name may be made to the church.

Simon `Si' Davis of the Round Lake area
Services for Simon `Si' Davis, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Born Aug. 29, 1918, in Round Lake, the son of Ralph and Zella Davis, he passed away Friday, April 23, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center, after a short illness. Interment will be in Avon Center Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of the Round Lake area, he served in the Navy in World War II and was a life member of VFW Post 4038. He was a plumber for more than 40 years and served as village inspector. He later worked for the State of Illinois as a plumbing inspector for 10 years after that. He was a part-time ranger at Renwood Golf Course for the past several years and was an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his wife 54 years, Hazel; sons, Ralph (Lynn) Davis, Ronald (Debbie) Davis and Stephen (Dawn) Davis; grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Creeden, Kelly Davis, Jennifer (Jeff) Gammel, Christopher Davis, RobertDavis, Frank Szarban, Andrew Szarban, Misty Smith, Tammy (Bill) Wood and John Smith; and great-grandchildren, Edward, Autumn, Bailey, Keith, Tyler, Andrew and Peyton.
Friends and family may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.

Ryan Thomas DeMarais of McHenry
A funeral blessing for Ryan Thomas DeMarais, the infant son of David and Lea Ann DeMarais of McHenry, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 W. Washington St., McHenry.
Ryan died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. Interment will be private.
Surviving are his parents of McHenry; brother, Brandon, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. MacGilvray of Woodstock; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank DeMarais of Spirit Lake, Iowa; aunt, Debee(Steve) Vecchiarelli of Hollis, N. H.; uncle, Scott (Nancy) MacGilvray of Springfield; and maternal great-grandmother, Mary Catherine MacGilvray.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nancy DeMarais; maternal great-grandfather, James P. MacGilvray; and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Flint.
No visitation is scheduled.
Memorials may be made to the Northern Illinois Medical Center Foundation in McHenry.
Arrangements were made by the George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, McHenry.

Margaret Ellsworth, 86, of Elgin, died Saturday, April 24, 1999. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Louis D. Galella, 76, of Wheaton, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Arrangements were made by Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, Wheaton, (630) 668-0016.

Ella E. Goebbert of Park Ridge
Services for Ella E. Goebbert, 93, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 260 N. Northwest Highway (at Elm), Park Ridge, IL 60068, where she will lie in state from noon until the time of services.
Born Dec. 17, 1905, in Elk Grove Township, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge.
Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
She was the loving sister of the late Amanda, Henry and Edward; dear aunt of Janet (Bill) Graff; and fond great-aunt of Rita Steinke, Dona Clardy, Sara Holmstrom and Roger Graff. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.

Camille Hack formerly of Wauconda
Services for Camille Hack (nee Lynge), 90, of Palatine, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at the Evangelical Free Church, 27215 N. Anderson Rd., Wauconda.
Born April 16, 1909, in Chicago, she died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights.
Burial will be in Wauconda Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Bill (Alice) and Jerry (Connee Iscaro-Hack) Hack; brother, Roy (Stella) Lynge; sisters, Beatrice (late Joseph) Wehofer and Evelyn (Willard) Jarckow; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and good friends, Gladys and Dick Warfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services today, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

Martha Lee Hazelwood formerly of Waukegan
Services for Martha Lee Hazelwood, 93, a resident of Sunrise Health Care in Zion, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2720 McAree Road, Waukegan.
Born Aug. 10, 1905, in Wichita Falls, Texas, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion. Interment will be private.
A resident of Waukegan for 60 years, Mrs. Hazelwood was the first female employee at Vascoloy Ramet to work on production. She retired in 1970 from V. R. Wesson after 31 years of employment.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret `Peggy' (Donald) Rules of Waukegan; granddaughters, Donna (Don) Downs of Waukegan and Marcia (Jim Kutina) Rules of Elgin; brother, Hank Walton of Refugio, Texas; and niece, Mary (Don) Barnes of Coldwater, Mich.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Elsie Ihrke of Elgin
Funeral services for Elsie Ihrke, 89, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Herbert J. Hedstrom officiating.
Born Sept. 7, 1909 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Ingrid Gustafson Nelson, she died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ihrke was employed as a secretary for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Elgin and its Dorcas Society. A longtime resident of Elgin, she was also a member of VASA Lodge.
Survivors include her nieces, Joan (Nicholas) May of Elgin, Carole (Maurice) Core of Colmubus, Ohio and Barbara (Richard) Sunde of Hoffman Estates; nephew, David (Dolores) Nelson of Elgin; and 15grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, in 1985; sister, Rose; brothers, John and Gary Nelson; and nephew, Edward (Marcia) Nelson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church.

Scott Lewis Kennedy of St. Charles
Funeral services for Scott Lewis Kennedy, 57, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Norris Funeral Home, 102 S. Third St., St. Charles.
Born Nov. 18, 1941, in Oak Park, the son of Chester `Scott' and Carolyn Kennedy (nee Concklin), he died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Fairmount-Willow Hills Cemetery in Willow Springs.
Mr. Kennedy was a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston. He was employed for 17 years by Sears and had also worked for Fiat-Allis and Beechcraft.
He is survived byhis loving wife, Mary (nee Flynn); his beloved children, Jeff Kennedy of Dallas, Texas and Matt and Caitlin Kennedy, both of St. Charles; and several first cousins, to whom he was very close.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Chester Kennedy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Mary N. Laris of Bloomingdale
Services for Mary N. Laris (nee Nicolopulos), 85 (`39'), will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, and continue at 11 a.m., at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
Mrs. Laris was the past district governor of the 13th District Daughters of Penelope and the past worthy matron of the Eastern Star. She was also very active in many other clubs and organizations.
She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas D. Laris; loving mother of Peter (Barbara), Cynthia and James (Ramona) Laris; dear sister of Margie, Zach (Helen) and the late Nick; proud grandmother of James (Sara), Maria, Deanna, Jamie and Vanessa (Dan); great-grandmother of Carla and Cody; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews; and respected friend to many.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.

Marjorie Leach of Elgin
Private family services for Marjorie Leach, 84, were held at Madison Funeral Home, Elgin.
Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Elgin, the daughter of Harry and Elva Kilbourn Mattocks, she passed away Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Sherman West Court. Burial is private.
She was a member of First Congregational Church in Elgin, the Elgin Woman's Club and the travel class. A lifelong resident of Elgin, she was a graduate of Elgin High School and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She was a kindergarten and first grade teacher in the Elginarea.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert; daughter, Judith (Robert) Connors of West Dundee; grandchildren, Rhonda (Bruce) Kirton of Canada, Carla Connors of Genoa and Erin Connors of Elgin; five great-granchildren; brother, Richard (Grace) Mattocks of Florida; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Jr.; and her daughter, Barbara Sue, in infancy.
Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church in Elgin.
