Lawrence A. Bolin of West Chicago
A funeral Mass for Lawrence A. Bolin, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. John the Baptist Church, Winfield.
Born Aug. 27, 1924, in Chicago, he passed away suddenly Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
A resident of West Chicago since 1965, Mr. Bolin was a member of St. John Church. He retired in 1981 after 25 years of service as a civil engineer at Argonne National Laboratory. An Air Corp veteran of World War II in the Pacific, he was a member of American Legion Post 300 and Richardt V. F. W. Post 6791, both in West Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Bolin of West Chicago; children, Jane Bolin of Charlotte, N. C., John (Doris) Bolin of Geneva, Martha (David)Holderman of Carol Stream, Susan (Don Schumacher) Bolin of Hinsdale, Nancy Bolin of Glen Ellyn and Barbara (Brian Bandarra) Bolin of Wheaton; 20 grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Donna) Bolin of Grand Lake, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marguerite Bolin; sister, Ellen Avery, in 1989; grandson, Eric; and granddaughter, Dana.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Norris-Walen Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago.

Craig J. Boydston of Evanston
A funeral Mass for Craig J. Boydston, 25, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gilbert Church, Grayslake.
Craig passed away suddenly at his home. Burial services will be private.
Craig liked music, traveling and hiking, and loved his Jeep.
He is survived by his parents, Gene and Robin; sisters, Kimberly (Martin) Mayer and Brenda (Jason Stoneham) Boydston; grandparents, Irving and Ethel Roane; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his friend, Boda.
Family and friends may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.

Jeffrey J. Brennan
Services for Jeffrey J. Brennan, 39, a resident of Grant Park, Ill., for eight years, formerly of Park Forest, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Agnes Church, 1515 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights. The Rev. John Siemianowski will officiate.
Born Sept. 8, 1959, in Chicago, he died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood.
Mr. Brennan had been employed for 19 years with the Chicago Transit Authority.
A veteran, he had served in the Army in the late 1970s. Among his hobbies, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Laura M. Brennan (nee Leiteritz); children, Rebecca and Jeffrey Brennan, both at home; mother and stepfather, Adrienne and Jan Broda of Belvidere; brother, Ken (Mary) Brennan of Wheeling; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Hirsch Funeral Homes, West End Chapel, Lincoln Highway and Otto Boulevard, Chicago Heights.

Lois I. Carpenter of Carol Stream
Services for Lois I. Carpenter, formerly of Wheaton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (one block east of Naperville Rd. ), Wheaton.
Mrs. Carpenter died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Wheaton Cemetery.
A 23-year resident of Carol Stream, she was a former volunteer at the MarkLund Home.
Survivors include her children, Iris (Ed) Nelson and Jerry (Debora) Mueller; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia (Joe) Lillard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carpenter.

Simon `Si' Davis of the Round Lake area
Services for Simon `Si' Davis, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Born Aug. 29, 1918, in Round Lake, the son of Ralph and Zella Davis, he passed away Friday, April 23, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center, after a short illness. Interment will be in Avon Center Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of the Round Lake area, he served in the Navy in World War II and was a life member of VFW Post 4038. He was a plumber for more than 40 years and served as village inspector. He later worked for the State of Illinois as a plumbing inspector for 10 years after that. He was a part-time ranger at Renwood Golf Course for the past several years and was an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his wife 54 years, Hazel; sons, Ralph (Lynn) Davis, Ronald (Debbie) Davis and Stephen (Dawn) Davis; grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Creeden, Kelly Davis, Jennifer (Jeff) Gammel, Christopher Davis, RobertDavis, Frank Szarban, Andrew Szarban, Misty Smith, Tammy (Bill) Wood and John Smith; and great-grandchildren, Edward, Autumn, Bailey, Keith, Tyler, Andrew and Peyton.
Friends and family may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Robert W. Doerr, 81, of Villa Park, died Saturday, April 24, 1999. Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, Villa Park, (630) 832-4161.

Jeanette P. Feyerabend of Glen Ellyn
Services for Jeanette P. Feyerabend, a resident of Glen Ellyn for 30 years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton. The Rev. Eric F. Allen will officiate.
Born May 30, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo., she died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at GlenOaks Medical Center, Glendale Heights. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
Mrs. Feyerabend had been a volunteer with the Central DuPage Hospital Women's Auxiliary for 24 years. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 24 years and a member of St. John Lutheran Church for six years. She was a loving and devoted volunteer in all respects.
Surviving are her husband, George A. Feyerabend of Glen Ellyn; children, Kay (Rick) Fulkerson of Owensboro, Ky., Deborah Feyerabend of Glen Ellyn and Stephen (Phyllis) Phelps of St. Louis; grandchildren, Shannon Fulkerson, Julie (Michael) Hossack and Susan Stencia; sister, Lillian (Norbert) Mueller of Creve Coeur, Mo.; and sisters-in-law, Betty Hecht and Virginia Hecht, both of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, the Rev. Dr. Harold L. Hecht and Carl Hecht; and sister, Virginia Ritthamel.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Ella E. Goebbert of Park Ridge
Services for Ella E. Goebbert, 93, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 260 N. Northwest Highway (at Elm), Park Ridge, IL 60068, where she will lie in state from noon until the time of services.
Born Dec. 17, 1905, in Elk Grove Township, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge.
Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
She was the loving sister of the late Amanda, Henry and Edward; dear aunt of Janet (Bill) Graff; and fond great-aunt of Rita Steinke, Dona Clardy, Sara Holmstrom and Roger Graff. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.

Martha Lee Hazelwood formerly of Waukegan
Services for Martha Lee Hazelwood, 93, a resident of Sunrise Health Care in Zion, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2720 McAree Road, Waukegan.
Born Aug. 10, 1905, in Wichita Falls, Texas, she died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion. Interment will be private.
A resident of Waukegan for 60 years, Mrs. Hazelwood was the first female employee at Vascoloy Ramet to work on production. She retired in 1970 from V. R. Wesson after 31 years of employment.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret `Peggy' (Donald) Rules of Waukegan; granddaughters, Donna (Don) Downs of Waukegan and Marcia (Jim Kutina) Rules of Elgin; brother, Hank Walton of Refugio, Texas; and niece, Mary (Don) Barnes of Coldwater, Mich.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.

Edith A. Hennig of Palatine
Services for Edith A. Hennig (nee Augustiniak), 69, a resident of Palatine since 1971, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Born Sept. 14, 1929, in Dortmund, Germany, she died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mrs. Hennig was a supervisor for Union Special in Huntley from February 1978 until her retirement in October 1994. She was a member of the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Center, the Rheinischer Verein of Chicago and the Niedersachsen Club.
Surviving are her son, Ruediger (Maria [nee Szymanski] ) Hennig of Crystal Lake; grandson, Andre E. Hennig of Wonder Lake; granddaughter, Angela V. Hennig of Crystal Lake; sisters, Helga of Chicago and Elfrieda of Dortmund; and brothers, Dieter (Christa) of Chicago, Herbert (Eileen) of Chicago and Winfred (Gerlinde) of Dortmund.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Hennig; parents, August and LouiseAugustiniak; brother, Heinz; and sister, Hannelore.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Fred L. Herriman Jr. of Buffalo Grove
Services for Fred L. Herriman Jr., 52, formerly of Wheeling, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (two blocks south of Dundee Rd. ), Wheeling.
Born Aug. 25, 1946, in Skokie, he died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Burial will be private.
Mr. Herriman was employed in sheet metal fabrication in the heating and air conditioning business.
He was the son of Fred L. and the late Adeline (nee Gunther); father of Richard (Oana) Gabriel Herriman of Arizona, Kenny Herriman of Round Lake and Christy Herriman of Chicago; brother of James and Edward Herriman, and the late Sandy Herriman; and grandfather of Brendon.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Vincent Thomas Hilden
Prayers for Vincent Thomas Hilden will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at ColonialWojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.
Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Thecla Church. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a longtime volunteer at St. Thecla Church.
He was the beloved husband of Lucille (nee Fraser); loving father of Carole (late Raymond) Romor; devoted grandfather of Kathleen Romor and the late James Romor; great-grandfather of Michael James; loving brother of Joseph (Mary) Hilden, Celestine (late Max) Fahrenbach, and the late Louis (Anna Marie), George (late Olive).
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
