Emma L. Gomoll of Burlington
Funeral services for Emma L. Gomoll, 89, of Burlington, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampshire, with the Rev. James Hughes officiating.
Born June 6, 1909, in Genoa Township, the eldest child of August and Ida (nee Boeger) Becker, she died Sunday, May 16, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Burlington Union Cemetery.
Emma married Paul E. Gomoll Sr. on Dec. 22, 1934, in Chicago, where they resided for 34 years. They were Burlington area residents since 1968.
Emma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hampshire. After moving to Burlington, she began rug weaving and made over 4200 rugs in her 29-year labor of love.
Surviving are her sons, Paul (Margarete) Gomoll Jr. of Elgin and Charles (Carole) Gomoll of Hampshire; grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Gomoll of Elgin, Justin Gomoll of Hampshire, Tracy Gomoll of South Elgin and Michele (Mark) Engel of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah and Evangeline; brother, Henry (Violet) Becker of Genoa; and sisters, Isabelle Dillillo of Melrose Park and Louise Stoll of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Gomoll on Jan. 9, 1989; and brothers, Albert, Richard, Elmer and Lawrence Becker.
Visitation will be at the church prior to services.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church of Hampshire.
Arrangements were made by Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire.

Jean McClean Griffin formerly of Glenview
A graveside service for Jean McClean Griffin, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
Born May 23, 1913, in Chicago, she passed away Saturday, May 15, 1999, at the Winchester House in Libertyville.
Mrs. Griffin was a 1931 graduate of Senn High School. From 1949 to 1977, she and her husband raised their family in Glenview where she was active in the Glenview Community Church and the Infant Welfare Society, and was a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion auxiliaries, the Glenview Historical Society and various bridge groups. They retired in 1977 to Las Cruses, N. M., where she lived until returning to the Chicago area in 1998.
Surviving are her son, Dr. David R. (Gladys) Griffin, and grandchildren, Marie and Margaret Griffin, all of Libertyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Stanley H. Griffin, USAF, Ret., who was a process engineer at Kraft Foods for 29 years and who passed away Aug. 24, 1981; and her brother, William J. McClean.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army.

Lois Germaine Grossart, 77, of Palatine, died Monday, May 17, 1999. Arrangements were made by Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, Palatine, (847) 359-8020.

Annette M. Harz formerly of Geneva
Services for Annette M. Harz, 90, of Blue Springs, Mo., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva. Rev. Sue Ebersold will officiate.
Born March 22, 1909, in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Hattie (nee Nagl) Bergener, she passed away Monday, May 17, 1999, at the Independence Regional Health Center in Missouri. Entombment will be in River Hills Cemetery, Batavia.
Mrs. Harz taught school in the Chicago area for many years before her retirement and move to Independence, Mo. in 1994. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Elgin and the First Congregational Church of Geneva.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Linda) Harz of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Laura Harz and Jennifer Morgan; and brother, John Bergener of Pasadena, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Fred, in 1995.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday, at the funeral home.

Dorothy Kellermeyer formerly of Hoffman Estates
Services for Dorothy Kellermeyer (nee Arnold), 73, ofElgin, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 780 Bartlett Road, Streamwood. She will lie instate from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Born July 24, 1925, in Holdiay Cove, W. Va., she died Sunday, May 16, 1999. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
She was the wife of Paul Kellermeyer, they were married 49 years; mother of Sue (Rich) Biesenthal, David and Jim (Lyn); sister of the late Blanche and Evelyn; grandmother of Dan, Sarah and Jason; and sister of the late Blanche and Evelyn.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett.

Marjorie M. Knigge formerly of Wauconda
Memorial services for Marjorie M. Knigge (nee Brown), 73, of Littleton, Colo. since 1992, were held in Littleton.
Born Oct. 20, 1925, in Oak Park, she died Monday, May 10, 1999, at home.
A lifelong Wauconda resident prior to moving to Littleton, she was a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Wauconda.
She was the wife of the late Melvin, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1946, and who preceded her in 1989; mother of Karen (Fred) Rosenberg of Kingwood, Texas, Diane Veitch of Garden City, N. Y., Donna Knigge of Des Plaines and Kevin (Tammy Clif) Knigge of Littleton; grandmother of Shannon Veitch of Garden City, David Lisi of Wauconda, Jason Veitch of Oakland, Calif., Scott Rosenberg of Nashville, Tenn., Todd Lewis of Des Plaines, Brian and Jeremy Knigge of Littleton, and the late Michael Rosenberg; great-grandmother of Alexander and William Canete of Garden City; and sister of Herman R. III (Lorraine) Brown of Wauconda.

Jennie Lewandowski of South Elgin
A funeral Mass for Jennie Lewandowski, 73, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, Elgin. Rev. Joseph F. Kulak will officiate.
Born May 5, 1926, in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of Donato and Marie Emmerso, she died Monday, May 17, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
She had been a resident of South Elgin for thepast 41 years. She had been employed by Sherman Hospital for more than 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the church.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Falck of Oskaloosa, Iowa; son, Thomas Lewandowski of South Elgin; grandchildren, Michael, Peter and Kelli; and sister, Frances (Alfred) Colella of Medfield, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter, in 1986; three brothers; and one sister.
Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Steven George Markowski of Naperville
A memorial service for Steven George Markowski, 39, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Calvary Church, 9S200 State Route 59, Naperville. Rev. Lou Diaz, Rev. Ron Markese and Wanda Burgund will officiate.
Born Nov. 4, 1959, in New Brunswick, N. J., he died Friday, May 14, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
Mr. Markowski was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from Trenton State College in Trenton, N. J. with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. Mr. Markowski worked in the sales field for several companies such as Union Carbide Corporation in Oak Brook, Fina Oil and Chemical Company in Chicago and AT Polymers and Films, Inc. in Naperville, as an account manager. While at Union Carbide, Mr. Markowski was granted a U. S. Patent. He most recently worked as a self-employed handy man and volunteered at Calvary Church Food and Clothing Pantry in Naperville. A devoted volunteer, he went on nine missions construction trips for Calvary Church and Habitat for Humanity over the last five years. He attended Calvary Church and Wheaton Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Kay DeGraff Markowski of Naperville; father, John S. Markowski of South River, N. J.; mother, Beverly Markowski of Austin, Texas; sister, Jean Markowski of Austin; brothers, John G. Markowski of Tucson, Ariz. and Paul Markowski of Costa Mesa, Calif.; in-laws, Robert and Carolyn DeGraff of Naperville; brothers-in-law, Karl (Naomi) DeGraff of Broken Arrow, Okla., Steven (Heather) DeGraff of Naperville and Thomas DeGraff of Naperville; and nieces, Nancy and Christina DeGraff of Broken Arrow, and Abigail and Julia DeGraff of Naperville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Markowski's name may be made to Calvary Church Food and Clothing Pantry or Calvary Church Missions, c/o 9S200 State Route 59, Naperville, IL 60464.

Joanne L. O'Connor of St. Charles
Services for Joanne L. O'Connor, 62, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.
Born Dec. 29, 1936, in Elgin, she died Sunday, May16, 1999, at home. Burial will be in North Plato Cemetery, Plato Center.
Survivors include her husband, Roderick; daughter, Katheryn (Eric Trimble) O'Connor of Lolo, Mont.; son, Steve (Patty) O'Connor of Rochelle, Ill.; grandchild, Micheal O'Connor; and brother, Charles Blanchard of Aurora.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Michael Perez 21/2 year resident of Wheaton
Mass for Michael Perez, 36, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Our Lady of Angels Chapel, 26 W 105 Roosevelt Road, Wheaton.
Mr. Perez died Monday, May 17, 1999, at his home. Interment will be private.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jesse (Lydia) Perez, Sylvia (Jose) Ortiz, Gloria (Sam) Villalobos, Maria (Noe) Tentory, Juana Martinez and Frank Perez; many nieces and nephews; and good friends, Jon Winkle and Pamela Locke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Maria Perez; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.

Elma Peterson of Elgin
Graveside services for Elma Peterson, 96, will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Elgin. The Rev. Thomas O'Connor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Elgin will officiate.
Born Sept. 12, 1902, in North Plato, Ill., to Fred and Minnie Matthies Stege, she died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Elgin.
A homemaker, Ms. Peterson is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fox Valley Hospice in her name.

Allen H. Peterson, 53, of Elgin, died Monday, May 17, 1999. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.
