Mary Szewczyk of Lake Zurich
A memorial Mass for Mary Szewczyk, 91, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights.
Born Aug. 26, 1907, in Belgium, she died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Ballard Health Care in Des Plaines. Burial will be private.
A resident of Lake Zurich for 35 years, Mrs. Szewczyk was a retired seamstress.
She was the wife of the late Mitchell Szewczyk and Paul Richartz Sr. ; mother of Paul (Ann) Richartz; grandmother of Timothy and Michael Richartz, Lynne Edebohls and Susan Henry; great-grandmother of Stephanie, Nathan and Dylan Richartz, Michael Edebohls and Matthew and Daniel Henry; and sister of Madeleine Vlaminck.
Please omit flowers.
Arrangements were made by Matz Funeral Home, Mount Prospect.

Genevieve E. Wahler of Gages Lake
Funeral services for Genevieve E. Wahler (nee Schalk), 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Sept. 27, 1912, in LaPorte, Ind., she passed away Friday, May 28, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville, following the services.
Formerly of Chicago, Mrs. Wahler had made her home in Gages Lake for the past 50 years and was a member of the Warren Township Seniors Club.
She leaves her son, Wilbert `Wil' (Marlene) Wahler of Gages Lake; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Mabel Hugl of Greenfield, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Wahler Sr., in January 1978; and brothers, Willard and Ray.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be given to the Condell Medical Center ICU Unit, 801 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, IL 60048.

Josephine Wheeler formerly of Plainfield
Private family memorial services for Josephine Wheeler (nee George), 92, of Bartlett, will be held at a later date.
Born Oct. 20, 1906, in Plainfield, she died Friday, May 28, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Wheeler had been a resident of Bartlett for 20 years and formerly was a longtime Plainfield resident.
Surviving are her son, Murley (Helen) Wheeler of Plainfield; daughters, Joan (Donald) Baumann of Oswego and Robin (Stan) LaBancz of Bartlett; daughter-inlaw, Shirley Wheeler of Plainfield; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murley J. Wheeler Sr., in 1971; son, George Wheeler, in 1989; parents, Homer and Belle Kirby Green George; brothers, Lawrence `Jake' George and Forrest George; and sister, Ann Kelley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church, 409 Lockport St., Plainfield, IL 60544.

David Ellis Barnes Carol Stream
The family and friends of David Ellis Barnes, 49, will gather at 1 p.m. Friday, for a memorial service at The Evangelical Fellowship Church, 526 N. Main (Route 47), Elburn.
Born March1, 1950, in Savannah, Ga., he passed away Monday, May 31, 1999, at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Chicago, from Mesothelioma (a rare and environmentally induced cancer).
A resident of Carol Stream for the past 10 years, he worked as the director of sales for Things Remembered, Inc. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1973.
He was the beloved husband of Kristin (nee Blythe); loving father of Zachary, Meredith and Phillip Barnes; beloved son of Avis and Ellis Barnes of Jacksonville, Fla. ; and dear brother of Mary-Helen Bell of Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund in David's name is being established.

Marjorie E. Bloom of Arlington Heights
Memorial graveside services for Marjorie E. Bloom (nee Davis), 77, will be held at noon today, at Elmwood Park Cemetery, River Grove.
Born Sept. 22, 1921, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
A resident of Arlington Heights for 28 years, Mrs. Bloom had been a 35-year employee of Draper and Kramer Company in Chicago.
Surviving are her husband, Carl Bloom; and brother, William E. Davis.
Arrangements were made by Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Arlene P. Bosnyak of Elgin
Private services for Arlene P. Bosnyak, 71, will held at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.
Born Jan. 18, 1928, in Elgin, the daughter of George and Mary Meyers Becklinger, she died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Private burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
She had been a resident of Elgin most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by School District U-46 as a secretary for the school nurses.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur M. Bosnyak; daughter, Dr. Stacie (Dr. Robert) Weil of Nashville, Tenn. ; grandchildren, Phillip, Julia and Isabelle; and sister, Mary Jean (Truman) Thrun of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jamie Bosnyak; sisters, Dorothy Zimmerman and Alice Grimes; and brothers, George and Ralph Becklinger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.

Margaret A. Breitfuss
Prayers for Margaret A. Breitfuss (nee Dietz), 86, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., formerly of Chicago, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
Born Feb. 18, 1913, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in Cocoa Beach.
Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Buffalo Grove.
Margaret's parents, Phillip and Mary (nee Weidner) Dietz, were the first couple married at St. Mary Church.

AHFD of Prospect Heights; sisters, Jeanette Zachweija of Arlington Heights, Louise (George) Kuffel of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Mary Ann Komosa of Wittenburg, Wis. and Elaine (William, Ret. Lt. Private funeral services and interment will be held for Susan DeBildt, 94, of Schaumburg.
Born Sept. 6, 1904, in Holland, she died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Friendship Village in Schaumburg.
A homemaker, she is survived by her daughter, Nellie DeBildt of Palatine; brother, Mitchell (Elaine) DeBildt; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell DeBildt.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
