Violet M. Scholl of Elgin
Services for Violet M. Scholl, 70, will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Born Sept. 15, 1928, in Elgin, to George and Marie (nee Burnett) Widder, she died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be private in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Elgin, Mrs. Scholl had been employed with her husband in the operation of Rudy Scholl Masonry.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph F. Scholl; daughter, Susan (Steve) Evangelist of El Centro, Calif. ; son, Michael Scholl of Elgin; and six grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Jean Peters of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Ira Peters.
Frances J. Strohmayer of Libertyville
A funeral Mass for Frances J. Strohmayer, 67, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born Nov. 1, 1931, in Austria, she died Monday, May 31, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, Pa.
Mrs. Strohmayer had attended St. Joseph Church in Libertyville.
Survivors include her sons, Walter (Jean) Strohmayer of Denver, Colo., and Paul (Eileen, M. D.) Strohmayer, M. D., of Libertyville; daughter, Doris (Richard) Turner of Seattle, Wash. ; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Strohmayer.

Marie E. Stumbaugh of Mount Prospect
Memorial services for Marie E. Stumbaugh (nee Casagrande), 77, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, at Northwest Assembly of God, 900 Wolf Road, Mount Prospect.
Born May 15, 1922, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Alexian Brothers/Vitas Hospice House in Elk Grove Village. Burial will be private.
Marie was a Christian woman who loved Jesus, her family and friends, and serving others.
Surviving are her children, Marilyn (Tom) Leonteos, John (Maureen) Stumbaugh, Rich (Sue) Stumbaugh, Jim (Dee) Stumbaugh, and Jan (Rod) McKenzie; 19 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Irene C. Taylor of McHenry
A graveside service for Irene C. Taylor, 92, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in the interment chapel of St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Born Sept. 27, 1906, in Foley, Minn., the daughter of Zenophile and Mary (nee Brun) Perra, she died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Alden Terrace Health Care Center in McHenry.
Formerly a resident of Bradenton, Fla. for 25 years, she was a resident of McHenry since 1994. Before moving to Florida, she lived in Barrington and Palatine.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking as a hobby. She also enjoyed dancing, and playing the violin, cards and shuffleboard. She was a former parishioner of St. Anne Church in Barrington.
Irene is survived by her children, Marvin (Marilee) Taylor of Wauconda, Albert (Beverly) Taylorof Montgomery, Ill., Amelia (Ron) Zimmerman of Sanford, Fla., Shirley (Marvin) Zoellick of Hampshire, Floyd (Virginia) Taylor of Wausaukee, Wis. and Penny (Jack) Pociask of Wausaukee; 29 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and14 greatgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Taylor on April 27, 1978; sons, Robert, in infancy, and Donald and Lester Taylor; granddaughter, Patsy Zoellick, in infancy; grandson, John Taylor; sisters, Delia Frappier, Amelia Raiche, Regina Jencks and Margaret Perra; brother, Louis Perra; and son-inlaw, Ward Kelsey.
Memorials to the Diabetes. Association, the Hadley School for the Blind in Winnetka or Masses at St. Anne's Church in Barrington, would be appreciated by the family.

Robert S. Uhrina of Crystal Lake
A funeral Mass for Robert S. Uhrina, 52, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake.
Born May 9, 1947, at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, to Steven and Anne (nee Macnik) Uhrina, he died Monday, May 31, 1999, at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. Interment will follow Mass, in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bob had been employed in education for more than 28 years, having been a graduate instructor at Illinois Benedictine University and an adjunct faculty member at Harper College. A holder of many MBA's, he was a keynote speaker and contractual instructor for various domestic and international organizations, discussing motivation, change management and other managerial soft skills. In the early 1980s, Bob was a founder of a regional education center/division for a Fortune 500 company, which provided instruction for MIS professionals and managers, and which grew into a multi-million dollar business in less than five years. He also held multiple presidencies for Toastmasters International and worked for Sears in various MIS positions for 13 years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Uhrina of Crystal Lake; son, Robert Bryan (Cindy) Uhrina of Palatine; sisters, Nancy (William) Beckman of Tinley Park and Arlene (Bernie) Reusz of Downers Grove; brother, Steve (Mary) Uhrina of Downers Grove; and mother, Anne Uhrina of Orland Park.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Sandra K. Wilkins of Mundelein

Born July 4, 1940, in Fostoria, Ohio, she passed away Monday, May 31, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Willow Lawn Memorial Park, Mundelein, following the services.
A former resident of Maywood and Glen Ellyn, Mrs. Wilkins had lived in Mundelein for the past 11 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Proviso High School in Maywood and had attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Sandy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville and was a former employee of the Teradyne Corporation in Deerfield.
Surviving are her children, Jennifer (Tom) Hilton of Carol Stream, Jeff Jones and Jim Jones, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., Doug Wilkins of Escondido, Calif., Bruce (Elaine) Wilkins of San Diego, Calif., and Sally (Rick) Gannon of Anapolis, Md; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Lustgarten of Indianapolis, Ind. ; and brothers, Joel (Lilian) Munger of Glen Ellyn and Don (Donna) Munger of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent `Lowell' Wilkins, Feb. 16, 1996; her parents, Howard and Mabel Munger; and her brother, John Munger.

Mr. Absil was a retired foreman in electrical manufacturing, and a member of the Park Ridge V. F. W. Post 3579.
He was the husband of Geneva (nee Christensen); father of Thomas (Michale) Absil, Annette Absil and Holly Absil; grandfather of Steven Cikierski, Frank M. and Patrick T. Absil; brother of Mary (George) Feinberg, Jean (late Frank) Michl and the late Victor (Maxine) and Theophile.

Born Jan. 13, 1939, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Entombment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A 31-year Libertyville resident, Mrs. Bieniarz had been an office manager and was a member of St. Joseph Parish.
She was the wife of Richard D. ; mother of Richard of Vernon Hills, Victoria Bieniarz of Libertyville and the late Anthony `Tony'; sister of Allen (Marian) Friello of Antioch, Carissa (Frank) Bruno of Vernon Hills and the late Pauline (Edward) Stephans; grandmother of Sarah (Angel) Rosado, Jennifer andHeather; and great-grandmother of Angel Luis Rosado.

Born Jan. 18, 1928, in Elgin, the daughter of George and Mary Meyers Becklinger, she died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Private burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
She had been a resident of Elgin most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by School District U-46 as a secretary for the school nurses.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur M. Bosnyak; daughter, Dr. Stacie (Dr. Robert) Weil of Nashville, Tenn. ; grandchildren, Phillip, Julia and Isabelle; and sister, Mary Jean (Truman) Thrun of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jamie Bosnyak; sisters, Dorothy Zimmerman and Alice Grimes; and brothers, George and Ralph Becklinger.

Kenneth W. Courter of Arlington Heights
Services for Kenneth W. Courter, 57, are currently pending.
Born Nov. 29, 1941, in Chicago, Kenneth passed away Tuesday, June 1, 1999.
Kenneth served as a first lieutenant in the
Army during the Vietname War. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor of science degree. He then developed a love for computers and became a self-taught UNIX programmer.
He went on to work as a senior systems analyst for Chicago and Northwestern Transporation Company.
Survivors include his wife for 34 years, Linda B. Courter; daughter, Christy E. Courter; and sister, Marilyn L. Courter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Edward Iver Courter.
