Robert L. McCormic of Elgin
Funeral services for Robert L. McCormic, 44, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Elgin. The Rev. Dr. Thomas Potenza will officiate.
Born Dec. 6, 1954, in Ashland, Ohio, to George R. `Bob' and Esther (nee Cooper) McCormic, he died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
A 1978 graduate of Kent State University, Mr. McCormic had been a resident of Elgin for the past 13 years. He was employed as a national sales manager by Designers Fountain in Rancho Dominques, Calif. Mr. McCormic was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and theKent State Alumni Association.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Yurkovich McCormic, whom he married Sept. 15, 1979; daughter, Erin McCormic and sons, Sean and Patrick McCormic, all at home; parents, George and Esther McCormicof Ashland; sister, Kathy (Hal) Harper of Cambridge, Ohio; brother, Michael McCormic of Ashland; maternal grandmother, Mabel Cooper of Ashland; and nephew, Eddie McCormic of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Edward McCormic.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or to Epworth United Methodist Church in Elgin.

George P. Mello of Elk Grove Village
A memorial service for George P. Mello will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Queen of the Rosary Church, 680 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village.
Born in Fall River, Mass. on July 28, 1928, he served three years in the Army, mostly with the occupational forces in Korea. He then moved to Chicago to attend school. He was employed for 35 years at Mack Truck. An avid sports fan, he worked with many teams in Elk Grove over the years.
He was the loving husband and best friend of Agnes; devoted father of Carol (Michael) Bachus and David (Amy); dearest brother of Mary, Albertina, Ida and Inez; and dear brother-in-law and uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Herman.
In lieu of flowers, Masses to Queen of the Rosary or donations to the American Cancer Society, would be appreciated.

Minnie Mensching of Roselle
Visitation for Minnie Mensching (nee Blomberg) will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.), Roselle. She will lie in state on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 1800 S. Rodenberg, Schaumburg. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward; devoted mother of Marvin (Carol) and Betty (late Arnold) Northcutt; fond grandmother of Robert and Ronald (Michaeline) Mensching, David (Yolanda) and Craig Northcutt; and loving great-grandmother of Lisa and Sarah Mensching, and Brittany and Brandon Northcutt.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Sandra Mivshek-Hanner of Waukegan
Services for Sandra Mivshek-Hanner (nee Damron), 52, will be held at 5 p.m. today, at Gurnee-Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee. Immediately following the services, there will be a life celebration at the Knollwood Sportsman's Club.
Born Nov. 30, 1946, in Waukegan, she diedSunday, June 6, 1999, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
A lifelong resident of the area, she had been employed at Liquid Controls in Lake Bluff.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Mivshek of Waukegan; father, Herbert A. Damron of Arkdale, Wis. ; mother, Chloa A. Damron of Waukegan; brothers, Peter H. (Mary) Damron of Pulaski, Tenn. and William (Carol) Damron of Antioch; sisters, Mary Ann (Denis) Harbison of Waukegan, Debra A. (Hans) Powell of Tomahawk, Wis. and Lisa (Dave) Germscheid of Oak Creek, Mich. ; aunt, Catherine (Chirolas) Lelo of Waukegan; cousins, Bert (Herb) Schleicher of Brown Deer, Wis. and Allen (Cecelia) Lelo of Waukegan; many nieces and nephews; loving companion, Art Jewell; and very special friend `Sam'.

Inga J. Nelson of Batavia
Private memorial services for Inga J. Nelson, 22, will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Batavia.
Born Dec. 24, 1976, in St. Charles, she passed away Sunday, June 6, 1999, at home.
Inga was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. She worked at the Thompson Rehabilitation Center in Aurora, and was a special education student throughout her lifetime.
Survivors include her mother, Merrida Nelson and sister, Tyra Nelson, both of Batavia; grandmother, Merrida Carlson of Maple Park; grandparents, Wayne and Gladys Nelson of Colorado; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Nelson; grandfather, Verner Carlson; and aunt, Delrose Varra.

William B. Park of Long Grove
Services for William B. Park, 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Long Grove Community Church.
Born Sept. 9, 1907, in Evanston, he passed away Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Whitehall North Convalescent Home in Deerfield. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Mr. Park continued his father's business, Park Plumbing, which later became William B. Park, Inc., a kitchen and bath design company in Northbrook. He and his wife, Virginia, were among the early 20th-century homesteaders of the Prairie View-Long Grove area.
Always active in the community, Mr. Park spent 25 years in local elected offices. He was a former justice of the peace and served as a member of the boards of the Gridley School, Kildeer Countryside School and Ela Vernon High School in Lake Zurich. He was instrumental in purchasing the property where Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire now stands.
He also served on the Vernon Township Library Board and the Long Grove Park District board, and was elected moderator for the annual Vernon Township meetings for 44 years. Mr. Park was recognized by the state legislature for all his community service. In an effort to show people that they should serve their community, he ran for mayor of Long Grove when he was 89 years old.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Virginia Park (nee Landenberger) of Long Grove, whom he married in 1938; children, Drusilla (Penuel) Jones of Lutherville, Md., Daniel (Judy) Park of Long Grove and Deborah P. Mynatt of Signal Mountain, Tenn. ; grandchildren, Giles Jones, Robin Jones, Gwyneth Spangler, Abraham Mynatt and Grace Mynatt; and sister, Agnes Dobson of Alexandria, Va.
Friends of the family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.

Margaret Marie Powers of Crystal Lake
A funeral Mass for Margaret Marie Powers, 87, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake.
Born Nov. 21, 1911, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Patrick and Delia (nee Weir) Woulfe, she passed away Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at the Care Center of Wauconda. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Powers had been a member of the St. Thomas Keenagers and the Crystal Lake Senior Citizens Club, and was an avid pinochle player.
Surviving are her sons, Robert (Nancy) Powers of La Porte, Pa., and George (Betsy) Powers of Crystal Lake; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by herbrother, John Woulfe of Springfield, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Powers, whom she married Aug. 29, 1934, in Philadelphia; granddaughter, Patricia Powers; two sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research, 1700 W. Van Buren, Suite 250, Chicago, IL 60612.

Kima M. Probst of Des Plaines
Services for Kima M. Probst (nee Miller), 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines.
Born March 20, 1913, in Mount Carmel, Ill., she died Monday, June 7, 1999, at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Prior to her marriage in 1946, she owned the Flamingo Beauty Shop in Chicago. She was a homemaker, professional seamstress, Hines Hospital volunteer, member of the Lady Optimists Club and twice president of theDes Plaines Ladies of the Elks.
Survivors include her son, Barre (Renee) Probst of Mount Prospect; daughter, Marilyn (Dan) Kathan of Arlington Heights; grandchildren, Lisa (Erich) Sulzbach, Darrel (Kathleen) Kathan, Sarah Probst, Kelleen Kathan, Molly Probst and Benjamin Probst; three great-grandchildren; and aunt, Viola Barre of Clearwater, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. `Ed' Probst.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mary C. Reale
Prayers for Mary C. Reale (nee Pezze), will be said at 9 a.m. Friday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle.
Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph church. Entombment will in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
Next to her grandchildren, her garden was her passion. She will be dearly missed.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph; devoted mother of Maria (James) Piazza, Caterina (Gregory) Karamitsos; dear sister of Dina (Bruno) Franconi; and loving Nona of seven.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Harry R. Russmann of Schaumburg
Prayers for Harry R. Russmann, 59, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Marcelline Church, Schaumburg.
Born Jan. 29, 1940, in Chicago, he died Monday, June 7, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
He was the husband of Alice (nee Baca); father of Jennifer (Lonnie) Armstrong and Harry C. (Kelley) Russmann; brother of Beverly (Frank) Buczyk; and grandfather of Julie and Ryan.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
