Henry Dzioba of McHenry
Prayers for Henry Dzioba, 73, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.
Born Nov. 25, 1925, in Poland, he died Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
A 35-year McHenry resident, Mr. Dzioba was a retired crane operator, having been employed for 25 years at International Harvester.
Survivors include his wife, Alfreda (nee Wiercinski); children, Christopher and Elizabeth; granddaughter, Alyssa; brother, Zdzislaw `Jim' (Josephine); and sister, Kristina Gerts.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Paul E. Gardner of Palatine
Services for Paul E. Gardner, 67, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Masonic Services will follow at 8 p.m.
Born July 4, 1931, in Charleston, W. Va., he died Friday, June 11, 1999. Private interment for the family will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
A 28-year resident of Palatine, Mr. Gardner was a retired pipefitter. He was a past patronof Arlington Heights Chapter #992 O. E. S., and member of the Palatine Lodge #314 A. F. & A. M., Medinah Temple A. A. O. N. M. S. of Chicago and the V. F. W. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joanell J. (nee Wetmore) Gardner of Palatine; son, Lance Edward Gardner of Palatine; sister, Olive (late Edward) Kincaid of Baltimore, Md.; and uncle of Betty Joan Sherrett, Kay Maurer and Linda Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Buelah Gardner; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the services Monday, at the funeral home.

Robert Henry Gerdau of Elgin
Services for Robert Henry Gerdau, 66, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rev. Roger Pollock will officiate.
Born April 30, 1933, in Elgin, the son of Albert and Meta Wendt Gerdau, he died Friday, June 11, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Mr. Gerdau was in the Army serving in Korea, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He had been employed by Eagle Foods as a meat cutter, retiring in 1998. Bob was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Schuman Gerdau, whom he married in 1955; son, Patrick (Tracy) Gerdau of Elgin; daughter, Georgeann(Michael) Long of St. Charles; grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Gerdau, and Matthew and Emily Long; and mother-in-law, Zita Schuman of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel, Elgin, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday, at the church.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin, would be appreciated.

Harvey Grant of Schaumburg
Prayers for Harvey Grant, 82, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Hubert Church.
Born Feb. 21, 1917, in Wahkon, Minn., he died Saturday, June 12, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mr Grant was the founder and chairman of Service Stampings of Illinois in Roselle.
He was the husband of Mary (nee Ankenbrandt); father of Michael (Juanita), Lawrence (Lyn), Timothy (Sharon) and the late Frederick (Debbra); grandfather of Katie (Jim) Zay, Lianne, Lori, Tim, Mary, Christopher, Lisa, Andrea, Steve, Cynthia, Amanda and Victoria Grant, and Matthew, Laura, Steve (Astrid) and Brad (Mary Beth) Bessemer; brother of Louise Wahlberg and Anne Jacobson; brother-inlaw of Gladys Grant; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Edmund Delos Putnam II of Lombard
A memorial service for Edmund Delos Putnam II, 87, formerly of Naperville, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at the Beacon Hill Retirement Community's DuPhaze Hall, 2400 FinleyRd., Lombard.
Born Dec. 31, 1911, in Sioux Falls, S. D., the son of Adelaide Berleson Putnam and Dr. Edmund Delos Putnam, Mr. Putnam died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Westlake Community Hospital in Melrose Park.
His mother was a kindergarten teacher and his father an eye, ear, nose and throat surgeon. Mr. Putnam attended Mark Twain grammar school and graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. In 1934 he graduated from the University of South Dakota in Vermillian, as a biology major. He married Mary Elizabeth Jackman of Lake Forest on Oct. 1, 1938. He was a medical x-ray technician and as an electrologist he had his own business for 50 years in Chicago and Naperville. He was given referrals by dermatologists for his excellent technique. He was a past treasurer of the Illinois Electrolysis Society. He was a 40-year member of the First Congregational Church of Naperville, where he sang in the Choir for those years and was on the board of benevolence. He had a great love of music, nature and working with his hands. His gifts to the world shall live long after him. He had been a resident of Beacon Hill retirement community in Lombard, with his wife, Mary Elizabeth, since his retirement.
Survivors also include his daughter, Grace Taylor Putnam Fass, RN, MSN of Eastchester, N. Y.; sons, Edmund Delos Putnam III, a research chemist with Arc Chemicals of Rochester, N. Y. and Dr.
Timothy Duane Putnam, a practicing physician of Naperville; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Putnam Glass, Suzanne Putnam, Rebecca Putnam, Michael Putnam, Samuel Putnam Fass and Nancy Louise Fass Rasmussen.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 25 E. Benton Ave., Naperville, IL 60540 or Morton Arboretum Development Office, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle, IL 60532.

Carol A. James formerly of Itasca
Services for Carol A. James (nee Van Buren), 61, of Elgin, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca.
Born March 25, 1938, inAlbany, N. Y., she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Gordon James; sons, Gordon James Jr. and Gregory (Susan) James; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Lampinen and Christine James; brother, E. Wayne (Sue)Van Buren; and sister, Joyce (Andy) Koonz.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Vitas Hospice.

Henry Jonas of Des Plaines
Services for Henry Jonas, 88, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines.
Born Jan. 15, 1911, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
A lifelong resident of Des Plaines, Mr. Jonas had been employed at the A. B. Dick Company. He was a member of the Des Plaines Moose and a longtime Little League umpire in Des Plaines.
Survivors include his wife, Cora (nee Clavey); daughters, Joanne (Lester) Stein and Nancy (William) Feezor; sister, Ethel (late Al) Hahn; grandchildren, Laura, Karyn, Wendy, Patrick, Daniel and Beth; andfive great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice, First Congregational Church in Des Plaines or First Congregational Church of Christ in Elkhorn, Wis.

Mary A. Kinsey of Waukegan
A funeral Mass for Mary A. Kinsey (nee Jerina), 90, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Queen of Peace Church, 910-14th St., North Chicago.
Born Aug. 11, 1908, in Bradley, Ill., she passed away Friday, June 11, 1999, at Terrace Nursing Home. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Gerald) Gust of Waukegan; son, Fred (Mary) Sebben of Grayslake; brothers, Fritz (Frances) Jerina and Frank (Frances) Jerina; sisters, Emma Merlock, Sophie Mivshek, Jennie Mulligan, Frances (Bill) Hemersbach and Anne (Tony) Lesnak; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kinsey, in 1972; and first husband, Guido Sebben.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass Monday, at the church.

Oland J. `Oly' Koehring of Elgin
Services for Oland J. `Oly' Koehring, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, with the Rev. Thomas Niermann officiating.
Born May 19, 1918, in Stover, Mo., to George and Carrie (nee Grafelman) Koehring, he passed away Thursday, June 10, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Koehring had been employed by Neil's in Elgin for 40 years and was a member of the Painters and Decorators Contractors of America. A veteran, he had served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin, the Elgin American Legion and the Elgin Turners, and was active with Boy Scout Troop 2.
He was united in marriage to Bernice Bartels on July 12, 1947.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice Koehring (nee Bartels); sons, Dennis (Cynthia) Koehring of North Webster, Ind., and William Koehring of Kingston; grandsons, Andrew and Paul Koehring; sister, Verna (Wilbur) Gamble of Carpentersville; and brothers, Glenn (Rosemary) Koehring of South Elgin and Martin Koehring of Sandwich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randall Koehring, in 1993; sisters, Lela Otte, Vera Kessler and Helen Craker; and brothers, Norman and Marlin Koehring.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Ruth E. Livingston of East Dundee
Funeral services for Ruth E. Livingston, 93, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. The Rev. Nancy Nyberg will officiate.
BornJune 17, 1905, in Elgin, to George and Inga (nee Anderson) Shaver, she died Friday, June 11, 1999, at the ASTA Care Center, Elgin. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Livingston was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Carpentersville where she was active in the Women's Fellowship and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a longtime member and former officer of the Carpentersville Women's Club.
Surviving are her son, William (Joan) Livingston of East Dundee; daughter, Joyce (Kenneth) Lange of Algonquin; granddaughter, Barbara (Mike) Scudder of Plainfield; grandsons, David (Joan) Livingston of Erie, Pa., Jack (Maria) Livingston of Lawrence, Kan., Mike (Julie) Lange of Elk Grove Village and Paul (Maureen) Lange of Lexington, S. C.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Colin J. Livingston, the former mayor of Carpentersville, who died in 1962; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of Carpentersville or to the American Diabetes. Association.
