Aida Rojas Flood Begley of Hoffman Estates
A memorial service for Aida Rojas Flood Begley, 92, will be held at 11:30 a. m. Saturday, at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd. ),Streamwood/Schaumburg.
Born Dec. 19, 1906, in Quito, Ecuador, she departed into eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Hoffman Estates Medical Center.
Aida moved to the United States in the 1930's, where she married and raised her children in San Francisco, Calif. She aided in the war efforts by volunteering as an ambulance driver there during World War II. She played an active role in the city's social organizations. Moving to Hoffman Estates in 1991, she lived with her son and daughter-in-law.
She was the devoted wife of the late Dr. Bernard C. Begley; mother of surviving son, John Bernard Begley of Hoffman Estates; and grandchildren, Christina Doren and Isabella Whitaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Flood and their loving daughter, Isabel.
Memorial visitation will be from 10:30 a. m. until the time of services Saturday, at the funeral home.

Carl W. Berg of Mundelein
Funeral services for Carl W. Berg, 77, will be held at 11 a. m. today, at Kristan Funeral Home, P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
Born March 24, 1921, in Marinette, Wis., he died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at home. Interment will follow the funeral services in Ridgewood Cemetery.
Mr. Berg had been a resident of Mundelein for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona (nee Rakittke); daughters, Joyce (John) Aparo of Antioch, Lee Ann Kurczewski of Boulder, Colo., Susan Kwasnica of Mundelein and Carol (James) Sloan of Grayslake; brothers, Earl Berg of Salem, Wis. and Raymond Berg of Wimauma, Fla.; sister, Irene (Gilbert) Bergner of Mundelein; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Berg.

Anna A. Bergman of Mount Prospect
Services for Anna A. Bergman, 90, will be celebrated at 11 a. m. Monday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road at Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect.
Born May 31, 1908,in Sweden, she died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late John Brodd and the late Fred Bergman; mother of Wilma (Alfred) Galassini; grandmother of Pamela, Steven, Scott (Ernestine) and Greg (Susan) Galassini; and great-grandmother of Chris Mungovan and Nicholas, Matthew, Katherine and Lauren Galassini.

Gerald L. Beyer of Wauconda
Services for Gerald L. Beyer, 71, a resident of Wauconda for 57 years, will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Born July 24, 1927, in Cambria, Wis., he passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Winchester House in Libertyville.
Burial will be in Wauconda Cemetery.
Prior to his death, Gerald was the Wauconda Township Clerk and a former Wauconda Township Trustee. He was an
Army veteran of World War II, former Lake County Contractor, former Mayor of Wauconda from 1965 - 1969, Wauconda Township Supervisor for 14 years, former Lake County board member, former commissioner for the Wauconda Fire Protection District, past commander of American Legion Post #911 in Wauconda, member and pastworshipful master of Wauconda Lodge #298 A. F. & A. M., member of Wauconda Lions Club and VFW in Wauconda.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary (nee English), whom he married on Oct. 30, 1948; sisters, Katherine `Kate' Morrill of Wauconda and Judy Brown of Hot Springs, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Sam Beyer; brothers, Keith, Henry, Paul and Terry; and sisters, Pat I and Pat II.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home, with Masonic and American Legion services starting at 8 p. m.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Palatine Senior Center.
Survivors include her son, Ernest E. (Jackie) Cadwell Jr. of Chelmsford, Mass.; daughter, Shirley C. (Robert) Horn of Palatine; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank (Mary) Delaney.

Mrs. Consoer had retired after 20 years of service from the Illinois Bell Telephone Company.

Hattie Crowley of Elgin

Ms. Crowley, an Elgin resident for many years, owned and operated Crowley's Laundry and Cleaners before retiring.
She is survived by her daughters, Annie (James) Raines and Gladys Edinburgh of Milwaukee, Wis. and Dori McWilliams and Betty (Eddie) Stephenson of Aurora; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Juanita Taylor; three sisters; and three brothers.

Florence L. Demith of the Grayslake area
A Mass of the Resurrection for Florence L. Demith, 72, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Gilbert's Church in Grayslake.
She passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, following Mass.
Mrs. Demith was a resident of the Grayslake area for 46 years. She was a member of St. Gilbert's Church and also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Precious Blood Auxiliary, the Round Lake American Legion Post 1170 Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary and the Wildwood Women's Club.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Demith; children, Dennis (Sandy) Demith, Janet (Richard) Bell, Linnet (James) Miller and Mark (Kathy) Demith; grandchildren, Michelle, Colleen, Heather, Eric, Aaron, Ryan, Angie, Jason, Amanda, Janet and Karen; and seven great-grandchildren.

Ronald Guthrie formerly of Des Plaines
Memorial services for Ronald Guthrie, 65, most recently of Ringgold, Ga., will be held at 3 p. m. Sunday, at Christ Church, 1492 Henry, Des Plaines.
Born April 17, 1933, in Chicago, he passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at his home.
A veteran, Mr. Guthrie had served in the Navy from1951 to 1959. In 1967, he became a firefighter for the City of Des Plaines and retired at the rank of lieutenant in 1987. Upon retirement, he moved to Ringgold.
He was the loving husband of Penelope Guthrie; dearest father of Kyle (Betty) Guthrie, Trevor (Jamie) Guthrie, and Heather (Glenn) Chappell; and fond grandfather of Kimberly, K. Austin, Michael, Madelynne and Benjamin.
