Joseph W. Podraza formerly of Wauconda
Prayers for Joseph W. Podraza, 89, of McHenry, will be said at9:30 a. m. Monday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
Mass will follow at 10 a. m. at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.
Born March 7, 1910, in Chicago, he died Friday, June 25, 1999, at Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wis. Interment will be in Transfiguration Cemetery, Wauconda.
Mr. Podraza was the former owner of Fun & Sun Rentals in Wauconda, and a member of the Painters Union in Chicago.
He was the husband of the late Martha; father of Marlene Dudek, Gerald (Phyllis) and Kathleen (Milford) Cunningham; grandfather of Claire and Lauren Cunningham, Brian (Katherine) Podraza, Cynthia (Glenn) Harris and Tina (Zachary) Janssen;great-grandfather of Nicholas, Nathan and Anna Podraza and Allyson Harris; and brother of Elsie Yelli and Lillian Moscinski.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p. m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Wauconda Fire Department, Paramedic Fund, 109 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, IL 60084.

Helen R. Przybylo of Arlington Heights
Services for Helen R. Przybylo (nee Findysz), 89, will begin at 9:30 a. m. Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and will continue with a Mass at 10 a. m. at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born March 25, 1910, in Chicago, she died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at the Lutheran Home and Services for the Aged in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
Helen had been a resident of Arlington Heights for the past eight years, and had served as a caterer in food services for many years. She was also a former member of St. Walter Catholic Church in Roselle.
She was the wife of the late Walter Jezior, who died June 25, 1935, and the late Stanley Przybylo, who died March 8, 1978; loving mother of Helen(Jacob) Pipowski of Arlington Heights, Walter (Mary) Jezior of Schaumburg and the late Lottie Schoepke and Irene (the late Gregory) Bojarski; mother-in-law of Walter Schoepke of Medinah; dear grandmother of six; and great-grandmother of eight.
She was also the loved sister of Pauline Novicki, Lottie Millazzo, Clara Behrendt, Irene De Caro, and the late Stella Laskowski, Emily Bukowski, and Joseph, Henry and Edward Findysz.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Marie G. Rankin of Schaumburg
Services for Marie G. Rankin (nee Gears), 93, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, Ill. Burial will be in Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hebron, Ill.
Born June 16, 1906 in Lonaconing, Md., she died Wednesday, June 23, at Friendship Village, Schaumburg.
For many years Mrs. Rankin taught child Evangelism classes in her home.
Survivors include her sons, Alexander (Joanne) Rankin V of Bedminster Pa. and William G. (Vivian) Rankin of Chicago; daughter, Lesley R. (Phil) Judson of Gurnee; and sister, Ruth (the late Howard) Wood of Park Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Rankin IV; and brothers, Thomas, Wilbur and Royal.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Charles Robert Richardson Jr. formerly of Glenview and Wilmette
Services for Charles Robert Richardson Jr., 73, of Scottsdale, Ariz., will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
He was the beloved husband of Gaye (nee Maretta); loving father of Christopher, Sharon and the late Charles Robert Richardson III; stepfather of Sandy Weiland; and brother Craig Richardson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Lydia Rowe of Elgin
Private graveside services for Lydia Rowe (nee Volkening), 99, will be held on Monday in Lakewood Memorial Park. The Rev. Joellen Hosler will officiate.
Born March 28, 1900, in Bartlett, to Herman and Emma (nee Thies) Volkening, she died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services in Elgin.
Mrs. Rowe had been a resident of Elgin for most of her life and had been employed by Sherman Hospital for 30 years beforeretiring. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bartlett and of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
Survivors include her daughters, Jeanette (Floyd) Vogel and Arleen (Robert) Applehoff, both of Elgin; grandchildren, Ellen Vogel, Jean Larsson, Robert L. Applehoff, Randy (Carol) Vogel, Jill (Tom) Graff and JackVogel (fiancee, Michelle Franke); and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Rowe, in 1984; sisters, Martha Klug, Adelia Fleischer and Ella Kassien; and brother, Herman Volkening.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Elgin Senior Services or ManorCare Health Services.

Nora Ruffing, 88, of Donna, Texas, formerly of Algonquin, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Arrangements were made by McCaleb Funeral Home, Weslaco, Texas, (956) 968-7533.

Ana Mae Schotanus of Mundelein
Services for Ana Mae Schotanus, 72, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.
She passed away Thursday, June 24, 1999. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
Mrs. Schotanus was a 1948 graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing, the last class in the Army Cadet Corps of Nursing to graduate from there. She served as a nursing administrator for Winchester House in Libertyville from 1964 to 1981, the culmination of a 35-year career dedicated to the nursing field. A proud, lifelong resident of Lake County, Mrs. Schotanus was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Libertyville and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She will always be remembered for her measureless generosity.
She was the loving wife of the late William Schotanus; dear mother of Lynn (John) Rhett of Auburn, Wash., Cheryl (Bill) Barbera of Lindenhurst, Joel (Denise) Bracher of Round Lake Beach and Tracey (Gary) Reimers of Kenosha, Wis.; loving grandmother of Erika Conkling of California, Justin Rhett of Washington, Tiffany Schotanus of Illinois, Jennifer Barbera of Illinois, Jeremy Reimers of Wisconsin, Erik Reimers of Wisconsin and Chantal (Rich) Laskowski of Illinois; dear great-grandmother of Brooke and Colin Laskowski, both of Illinois; fond sister of Herb (Penny) Bracher ofLibertyville, and the late Leland `Slim' (Mary) Bracher and Phyllis (the late Don) Des Lauriers; good friend of EdieClaven and Mary Ann Gibbs; and dear friend to many.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Eileen A. Steele of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Eileen A. Steele (nee Benbow), 100, formerly of Galesburg, will be said at 8:30 a. m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Mass will follow at 9:30 a. m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Arlington Heights.
Born March 26, 1899, in Galesburg, she died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at home.
Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Survivors include her son, George (Aileen) Steele of Palatine; grandchildren, Thomas (Sue) Steele of Bartlett, Janet Steele Grupe of Grayslake, Mark (Susan) M. D. Steele of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Michael (Kathleen) Steele of Carpentersville; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen H. Steele.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p. m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Wayne Allen Stickles formerly of Hanover Park
Services for Wayne Allen `Buford' Stickles, 63, of Marengo, formerly of Hanover Park, will be held at 7:30 p. m. today, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/ Schaumburg.
Born July 6, 1935, in Litchfield, Ill., he died Thursday, June 24, 1999, in Marengo.
Cremation will be private.
Mr. Stickles was the owner of a bar in Colombus, Mo. A veteran, he was proud of having served in the Marine Corps. Mr. Stickles was a member of the Streamwood Moose Lodge and the Streamwood Amvets, and loved bowling, fishing and playing pool.
He was the husband of Elaine Stickles (neeKohl); father of Richard Stickles of California, Ezra James Stickles of Lincoln, Neb., Angela Sue of Arizona, Darryl of California, Susan (Michael) Lyp of Hanover Park, Cathy Jo of Arizona, Steven, Tom, Diane of California, Rick Johansen of California, and the late Wayne Stickles III and Wayne Stickles Jr.; stepfather of Matt Fitch of Montana, Bobby (Martha) Sanders of Salina, Kan., Brenda Ryefield of Palatine and Bobbie (Mark) Mitchell of Covington, Ga.; grandfather of Sabrina, Mikie, Amanda, Ryan, Corey and Danielle Stickles, and Catrina Ryefield; son of the late EzraJames and Opal (nee Martin) Stickles; and brother of Joe (Hanna) of Texas, Nancy (Jesse) Heaven of Rockford, Kenny Stickles of Arizona, and late Buck, Alice and Robert
Visitation will be from 3 p. m. until the time of services at 7:30 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

David Lee `Dave' Utterback of Naperville
Funeral services for David Lee `Dave' Utterback, 54, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at Friedrich Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Born July 13,1944, in Michigan City, Ind., he died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Naperville Cemetery, Naperville.
Mr. Utterback was raised in Michigan City, and was a 1962 graduate of Issac C. Elston High School. He received a bachelor of science degree and an MBA in marketing from Michigan State University, where he was also amember of the Theta Chi fraternity. A veteran, Mr. Utterback had served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed in Fort Benning, Ga. For 19 years he had been employed by Sears Roebuck and Company as a home fashion buyer and later became an independent representative for several companies. A former resident of Lansing, Mich., Westmont and La Grange, Mr. Utterback had moved to Naperville in 1976 and was a member of First Congregational United Churchof Christ. He enjoyed computers, photography and working in his yard, and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Diane K. Utterback (nee Grewe) of Naperville; daughters, Debra (Antoine) Mourad of New Jersey and Kathryn Diane (fiance, Steven Yingling) Utterback of Albuquerque, N. M.; sister, Eleanor (bob) Albers of Fort Defiance, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Zelda Utterback; and sister, Nadine Wood.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p. m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ stained glass window fund, 25 E. Benton Ave., Naperville, IL 60540.
