Rex Ira Ayers formerly of Wheeling
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rex Ira Ayers, 75, of New Port Richey, Fla., will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church Fremont Center.
Born May 18,1924, in Gratiot, Mich., he died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
A veteran, Mr. Ayers had served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Holiday, Fla., the Am-vets of Wheeling, the Disabled Veterans Association of Wheeling, the Colonial Hills Civic Association of New Port Richey and the VFW Chester McKay Lodge #7987 of New Port Richey, and was a past commander of the Mundelein American Legion #867.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ayers (nee Lexow); son, Rex Ayers of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Carol (Rick) Johns of Antioch, Darlene (Robert) Koch of Spring Grove, Vickey Schultheis of Antioch andBonnie Puckett of Florence, Ala.; brother, Arthur Ayers of Riverdale, Mich.; sister, Leona Martin of Alma, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Kristan Funeral Home P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Merlen C. Behm formerly of the Dundee/Elgin area
Graveside services for Merlen C. Behm, 54, of Rockford, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Dundee Township East Cemetery.
Born Jan. 22, in Elgin, the son of Raymond E. and Mildred E. Meyers Behm, he died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at home.
Survivors include his children, Michelle Stebbins of New York, Jennifer Martin of Arkansas and Jeff Behm of Arkansas; five grandchildren; brothers, Calvin C. (Betty Ann) Behm of South Elgin and Clarence (Susan) Behm of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews.
he was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements were made by Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

Marvin J. Bestvina of Prospect Heights
Services for Marvin J. Bestvina, 72, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St.
Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights.
Born March 18, 1927, in Chicago, he died Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Jean Bestvina (nee Krystosek); loving father of Bonnie (Joseph) Schneller, Robert (Terri) Bestvina, Mark (Denise) Bestvina, David (Cindy) Bestvina, Barbara (Wayne) Leisio and Ann (Jim) Olney; proud grandfather of Tracy, Kim, Christine, Michael, Samantha, Max, Bradley, Matt,Kevin, Julie, Eddie, Alexandra and Bill; dear brother of the late Leonard (Elsie) Bestvina; and fond uncle of manynieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

George W. Bralles of Glendale Heights
Services for George W. Bralles, 44, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Rd., Glendale Heights.
He died suddenly Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
Mr. Bralles was a warehouseman at Michelin Tire Company and also an Army veteran.
He was the husband of Marla (nee Hajicek); loving son-in-law of Elizabeth and the late Charles Hajicek; devoted son of the late William and Adeline; fond brother of Tony, Jim and Nick; friend of Bill W.; and close friend of many.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America.

Barbara J. Bresnahan
Services for Barbara J. Bresnahan, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville. A funeral Mass was also held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Des Moines.
Born Dec. 6, 1935, in Des Moines, she passed away Monday, June28, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
She was a 1954 graduate of Coon Rapids High School before moving back to Des Moines in 1957. She was also a graduate of the Commercial Extension Business School in Omaha, Neb. Barbara was a former member, past president and treasurer or the Business and Professional Women's Club of Des Moines, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and had been employed at the James J. Kane Law Offices for the past 10 years.
Surviving are her husband, John Bresnahan; daughter, Cynthia (Phil) Dane and granddaughter, Kathryn Irene Dane, all of Libertyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Irene Young of Coon Rapids.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the funeral home.
Memorialcontributions can be made to either the American Cancer Society or Lakeside Cemetery Renovation Fund, P. O. Box 500, Libertyville, IL 60048, in her memory.

Anna M. Dorfler of Libertyville
A funeral Mass for Anna M. Dorfler (nee Obenauf), 85, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Church, Libertyville.
Born in 1914, on a farm in Fremont Township, she passed away Thursday, July 1, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Anna was one of 13 children. Later in life she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends with stories of that time. She moved to Libertyville in the 1940s along with her husband, Leo, where they raised their four daughters. She was a member of St. Joseph Church for more than 50 years. For the past 15 years, she enjoyed her work in the ministry of care. She retired in 1985 from Condell Hospital, where she worked for 14 years in a job she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by herfamily and many friends.
She was the wife of the late Leo A. Dorfler, he preceded her in death in 1973; mother of Lois (John) Spellman of Winfield, Joan (Robert) Risik of Sault Sainte Marie, Mich., Jan (Peter) Hastings of Libertyville and the late Lora; sister of Thekla Behm; grandmother of John and James Spellman, Julie Michaud, Michael and Elizabeth Risik, and Rachel and Rebekah Hastings; great-grandmother of seven; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.

Curt Otto Drewanz of Palatine A funeral Mass for Curt Otto Drewanz, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, corner of Anderson and Williams Dr., Palatine.
Born June 20, 1923, in Berlin, Germany, he died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
Mr. Drewanz was a Mason and Shriner.
A survivors of the World War II Russian Front and a Siberian Gulag, he came to the United States to make a better life.
The owner of ADC Inc., he was a successful businessman with shops in Alsip, Ill. and West Bend, Wis. His most important priorities were his family and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Emilie (nee Franke); children, Eva Drewanz, Andy (Yvonne) and Margaret (John) Lowry; grandchildren, Julia, Conrad, Alexander, Nicholas, Ava, Dean and Erica; and siblings, Otto (Krista) Drewanz of Germany andKatie (Hannes) Beyrich of Germany.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
Arrangements were made by Smith Corcoran Funeral Home, Palatine.

Edith V. Evon of Schaumburg
A funeral Mass for Edith V. Evon (nee Gallup) of Friendship Village in Schaumburg was held Thursday, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Road, Schaumburg.
Mrs. Evon died Tuesday, June 29, 1999.
Entombment will be private, in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Todd and the late Homer H. Evon, the founder of H. H. Evon Nut and Candy Company; dear stepmother of Ron (Liz) Evon; cherished grandmother of Tom, Tim and Cynthia Evon; and greatgrandmother of nine. She was also the loving daughter of the late June Francis and Margaret Gallup; dear sister of the late Mamie Gallup, Pearl Gallup-Savio, Roy Gallup and Robert Gallup; fond aunt of June (Richard) Schumacher and the late Beverly Gallup; and dear friend of Ted (Kaye) Connelly.
Arrangements were made by Smith Corcoran Funeral Home, Palatine.

Jack Friedman of Arlington Heights
Services for Jack Friedman, 75, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd. (one block north of Old Orchard Rd.) ,Wilmette.
Born Dec. 11, 1923, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, in Chicago. Interment will be in Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Friedman (nee Staples); children, Linda (Alan) Lerner, Ron (Irma) Friedman, Jim Frame, Cheryl (Chuck) Kullberg, Robin Dailey and Barbara Frame; grandchildren, Mitchell and Abby Lerner and Kyle Dailey; and siblings, Maurice `Buddy' Friedman and Judy (Joe) Dean.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little City, 1760 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine, IL 60067 or Make-A-Wish Foundation, 640 N. LaSalle St., #289, Chicago, IL 60610.

Rodolfo Garza of Palatine
Services for Rodolfo Garza, 39, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery Chapel in Palatine.
Born Jan. 7, 1960, in Mission, Texas, he died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Gabriel and Serafina Garza of Bartlett; siblings, Mickey (Raul) Auguire of Glen Ellyn, Joe Garza of Bartlett, Rick Garza of Bartlett, Pete Garza of Bartlett and Ruben (Julie) Garza of Hoffman Estates; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rodolfo Garza Memorial Fund c/o Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home.

Anita Greenfield, 68, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, June 17, 1999. Arrangements are being made by Madison Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-1128.

Raymond Joseph Greiner of Round Lake Beach
A funeral Blessing for Raymond Joseph Greiner, 83, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. Fr. Fitzpatrick from St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating.
Born March 16, 1916, in Auburndale, Wis., he died Monday, June 28, 1999, at North Chicago Veterans Hospital. Interment will be in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
Mr. Greiner had made his home in Round Lake Beach since 1945. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II.
He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge #1289, American Legion of Lake Villa Post #4308, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake, and attended St. Gilbert Catholic Church in Grayslake. Mr. Greiner was self-employed and worked with remodeling and as a building contractor.
Surviving are his children, Leslie (Jerry) Madison of Plano, Texas, Kathy (Robert) Schaefer of Gurnee, Laine (Paula) Greiner of Grayslake, Gary (Beverly) Greiner of Ingleside and Daniel Greiner of Round Lake Beach; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Marie Dowell of McHenry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, on Sept 15, 1980.
Contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Greiner.
