Funeral services for Santa Scrivani (nee Argento), 79, will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Walter Church. Interment will be private.
She was the beloved wife of Richard E. Scrivani; devoted mother of Toni (Joe) Posledni, Mary Scrivani and Andrew (Mati) Scrivani; dear sister of Antoinette (Jim) Toberman, Dolly and Jeannie; and fond grandmother of eight.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.

Paul N. Stevens formerly of St. Charles
A memorial service for Paul N. Stevens, 93, of North Aurora, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles. Fr. Joseph B. Linster will officiate.
Born March 3, 1906, in Elgin, the son of Perry and Marion Stevens, he died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora.
Mr. Stevens was a farmer in the area, and also worked for Moline Malleable Iron Company in St. Charles, retiring in 1968.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary; children, Charles (Virginia) Stevens of Wickenburg, Ariz., Charlotte (Richard) Carlson of Delavan, Wis., Phyllis (Charles) Meier of Springfield, Ill., Ronald Stevens of North Aurora and Marion (James) Scott of Big Rock, Ill.; grandchildren, Craig, Kevin, Barry, Luanne, Steve, Shirley, Eric, Karen, Bob, Rick, Karl, Bradley and Paula; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Stevens of Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline; and brothers, Harold, Waldo, Perry, Richard and Floyd Stevens.

Mary A. Wettstein of Ingleside
Services and interment for Mary A. Wettstein, 85, will be private.
Born Dec. 28, 1913, in Chicago, she passed away Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Zion.
She leaves her daughters, Lorraine Garwood and Rosemary (Fred) Krueger; sons, Norman (Marlene) Wettstein, Robert (Ann)Wettstein, Richard (Judy) Wettstein and Gerald Wettstein; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Wettstein.
Arrangements were made by Strang FuneralChapel & Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

Helene S. Wilkening of Batavia
Memorial services for Helene S. Wilkening, 88, of The Holmstad in Batavia, formerly of the Chicago area, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at The Holmstad's Park Manor, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia. The Rev. Donna Nelson will officiate.
Born June 3, 1911, in Cerro Gordo, Ill., to Samuel and Alice Gertrude (nee Dobson) Still, she passed away Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Michaelsen Care Center, Batavia. Graveside services will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Cerro Gordo Cemetery, with the Rev. Ted Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Wilkening was a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign and was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She had been employed as a bookkeeper throughout her career. Helene was a member of the CerroGordo United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John A. Wilkening; one nephew; five nieces; and many great-nephews and -nieces and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Jones; two brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076; or to the Cancer Research Foundation, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 721, Chicago, IL 60604.

Elizabeth J. Worthley of St. Charles
Funeral services for Elizabeth J. Worthley, 83, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Charles. The Rev. Kenneth Ahlstrand will officiate.
Born July 2, 1916, she died Friday, July 2, 1999, at Geneva Care Center, Geneva.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mrs. Worthley was a member of the Metropolitan Junior Women's Club and the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Marlene) of Morton Grove, and Richard (Jeannine), Sandra (Douglas) Ranney and Mary Ellen (William) Borman, all of St. Charles; brothers, Donald (Delores) Soderquist and Rodney (Janice) Soderquist, both of St. Charles; sisters-in-law, June Soderquist and Phyllis Soderquist; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elin Soderquist; husband, George, in February 1999; and brothers, Carl and Kenneth.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.

Maria Concepcion Barbosa of Elgin
Prayers for Maria Concepcion Barbosa, 76, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at O'Connor & Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin, before going to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Rev. Michael Morrisey will officiate.
Born Dec. 8, 1922, in Palomas, S. L. P. Mexico, the daughter of Amado and Teodora (nee Ortiz) Cedillo, she died Friday, July 2, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Formerly employed by Chicago Rawhide for many years, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Club Guadalupe of Elgin.
Survivors include her sons, Judge Manuel (Linda) Barbosa of Elginand Eliseo Jr. (Sharon) Barbosa of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; daughters, Jane Barbosa of Elgin, Connie Zapata of Elgin, Elisa (Frank) Avian of Brea, Calif., Lupe (Victor) Morales of Elgin and Lila (Gilberto) Feliciano of Elgin; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Judge Amado (Celia) Cedillo and Ildefonso Cedillo, both of Reynosa Tampa, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eliseo Barbosa Sr.; daughter, Carmen; grandson, Matthew Feliciano; brothers, Alberto Cedillo and Gregorio Cedillo; sister, Maria Saldana; half brothers, Magdaleno Cedillo, Cleofas Cedillo, Homobono Cedillo and Saturino Cedillo; and half sisters, Higinia Cedillo, Elena Cedillo and Engracia Cedillo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with an English rosary at7 p.m. and a Spanish rosary at 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Martin Porres Workers or Club Guadalupano Scholarship Fund.

James D. Beckman of Vernon Hills
Services for James D. Beckman, 58, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at BurnettDane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park. Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born June 21, 1941, in Highland Park, he passed away Friday, July 2, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery.
A former Deerfield resident, Mr. Beckman had lived in Vernon Hills for the past 33 years. He was a 1959 graduate of Highland Park High School and a 35-year employee of Jewel Foods in northern Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara (nee Salyer) Beckman of Vernon Hills; children, Robin (Robert) Klaszky of Monterey, Calif. and Travis Salyer Beckman of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandson, Matthew Robert Klaszky; parents, Richard and Rosemary (nee Rafferty) Beckman of Mount Prospect; brother, R. Terry (Linda) Beckman of Arlington Heights; sister, Marjorie (Asa) Grennan of West Plaines, Mo.; five nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his brother, D. G. Beckman.

Lorraine Calderone of Wood Dale

She was the beloved wife of Julius C.; devoted mother of Richard (Linda), Ronald (Candice) and Randy (Jeanate) Calderone; dear sister of Rosemary Lezza, Jean (Richard) Saalfeld, Thomas (Harriet), Edward (Alice), Robert (Nancy) and the late Frank(Anita) Oliva; daughter-in-law of Maria Masi; and fond grandmother of Bruce and Anthony Calderone.

Marie Cebulski
Services for Marie Cebulski (nee Colletti), 88, will begin with prayers at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Parish, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness.
Born July 12, 1910, in Chicago, she died Friday, July 2, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum, River Grove.
A homemaker, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cebulski; loving mother of Dolores (Ken) Gazda; cherished grandmother of Bill (Sheri), Joe (Lucy), Jon (Yvonne) and Ryan Gazda; dear sister of the late Oscar Colletti, Lena (the late Dan) Dvornik and Josephina; sisterin-law of Frances Colletti; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many other family members.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Helen Emerick of Elgin Prayers for Helen Emerick, 69, formerly of Lake Marian, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, Carpentersville.
Born July 10, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (nee Harkins) Fiedler, she died Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Emerick was a resident of the area for more than 40 years. She was an employee of Floyds Restaurant in Carpentersville for more than 20 years. She was a member of the church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Beth Hoelterhoff of Monticello, Ky.; son, Robert M. (Susy) Emerick Jr. of Chicago; sisters, Camilla (Leo) Flynn of Chicago, Jean Krajewski of Iowa and Honor Draftz of Chicago; brother, Edward Fiedler of California; and many good friends especially, Mardy and Carl Sebastian of Carpentersville.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Brock; and brothers, Robert, Patrick and Jack Fiedler.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Audrey A. Ewert of Elgin Services for Audrey A. Ewert, 68, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. The Rev. Michael Frantz will officiate.
Born March 23, 1931, in Elgin, to Virgil and Amy (nee Fisk) Fellows, she died Thursday, July 1, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Audrey had been employed by Elgin Mental Health Center as a driver for many years, prior to her retirement. She was a 50-year member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge #799 and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Surviving are her children, Ted (Marcy) Ewert of Carpentersville and Carla (Paul) Berndt of Elgin; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Justin and Dana Ewert; brothers, Edwin (Tomi) Johnson, Herbert (Shirley) Fellows and Gene E. Fellows; sisters, Betty Peabody and Carol (Roger) Shear; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
