Mary Spagoletti of Buffalo Grove
Prayers for Mary Spagoletti (nee Pauletti), 91, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Vernon Church.
Born Jan. 16, 1908, in Ishpeing, Mich., she died Friday, July 2, 1999, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Buffalo Grove. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
She was the wife of the late Nicholas; mother of Arlene (late Raymond) Fiore and the late Louis (Norrine) Spagoletti; grandmother of Elaine (Don) Funk, Mary Ann (John) Melone, Steven (Jane) Fiore, Mark (Gina) Fiore, John Spagoletti, Paul Fiore and the late Michael Spagoletti; daughter of the late Michael and Carmella; sister of Nancy Claviter, Connee Claviter, Guy Poce, Nash and the late Joseph, Josephine, Anthony, Mafalda and Margaret; and great-grandmother of Patrick Funk, Amanda Funk, Maggie Melone, Anthony Fiore, Erin Melone, Michael Fiore, Nicholas Fiore and Jack Melone.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Fr. John Finnegan Endowment Fund, c/o St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 U. S. Hwy. 45, Indian Creek, IL 60061.

Grace O. Ullock of Elgin
Memorial services for Grace O. Ullock, 84, formerly of Missouri and Arkansas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva.
Born June 12, 1915, in Bagnell, Mo., the daughter of Oscar and Maude (nee Ward) Boots, she died Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Manor Care Center in Elgin. Interment will be in Versailles, Mo.
Grace spent her early years helping operate their restaurant in Carthage, Mo., but found her greatest enjoyment in raising her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star having served as Past Worthy Matron.
Mrs. Ullock is survived by her husband of 20 years, William A.; daughter, Cheri Lauder of Elgin and Wisconsin; sons, Gerald (Claudia) Arney of Arkansas and Donald (Dorothy) Arney of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty (Claude) Ubank of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; and first husband, Charles Arney.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the funeral home.

James D. Beckman of Vernon Hills
Services for James D. Beckman, 58, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at BurnettDane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park. Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born June 21, 1941, in Highland Park, he passed away Friday, July 2, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery.
A former Deerfield resident, Mr. Beckman had lived in Vernon Hills for the past 33 years. He was a 1959 graduate of Highland Park High School and a 35-year employee of Jewel Foods in northern Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara (nee Salyer) Beckman of Vernon Hills; children, Robin (Robert) Klaszky of Monterey, Calif. and Travis Salyer Beckman of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandson, Matthew Robert Klaszky; parents, Richard and Rosemary (nee Rafferty) Beckman of Mount Prospect; brother, R. Terry (Linda) Beckman of Arlington Heights; sister, Marjorie (Asa) Grennan of West Plaines, Mo.; five nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his brother, D. G. Beckman.
Friends of the familymay call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Harry Nelson Blakeslee Jr. of Barrington
Graveside services for Harry Nelson Blakeslee Jr., 77,a resident of Barrington for 44 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Born July 18, 1921, in Bakersfield, Calif., he died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Blakeslee had graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a degree in chemical engineering. He had been employed by American Can Company since 1952, first in San Francisco, Calif., and then in Maywood, holding various scientific and supervisory positions in research and development as well as in engineering. He was known as an innovator in all types of packaging, including metal and glass. Mr. Blakeslee was also a veteran, having served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Blakeslee (John Elvart) of Chicago, and cousin, Winnielee Ellison of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Blakeslee (nee Adolphson), and daughter, Connie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Stirlen-Pieper & Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.

Lorraine Calderone of Wood Dale
Prayers for Lorraine Calderone (nee Oliva) will be said at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.) ,Roselle. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of Julius C.; devoted mother of Richard (Linda), Ronald (Candice) and Randy (Jeanate) Calderone; dear sister of Rosemary Lezza, Jean (Richard) Saalfeld, Thomas (Harriet), Edward (Alice), Robert (Nancy) and the late Frank(Anita) Oliva; daughter-in-law of Maria Masi; and fond grandmother of Bruce and Anthony Calderone.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.

Jim G. Camardella of Arlington Heights
Services for Jim G. Camardella, 74, will begin with prayers at9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south ofPalatine Road), Arlington Heights, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born June 6, 1925, in Brooklyn, N. Y., he died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at Evanston Hospital. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Camardella had retired in 1994 from Loyola Academy in Wilmette where he was a math teacher. He had also taught at St. Xavier in Louisville, Ky., Mount St. Joseph in Baltimore, Md., and St. John's Preparatory School in New England. Jim was a former Xaverian Brother for 33 years and was very active in the St. James Parish, Meals on Wheels and Catholic Charities.
He was the beloved husband for 21 years of Roz Camardella (nee Brennan), whom he married June 24, 1978; loving father of John and Michael Camardella of Arlington Heights; dear brother of Sr.
Therese Marie, C. S. J., of Brooklyn, N. Y.; and beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces and -grandnephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
If desired, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the North Shore, 2821 Central St., Evanston, IL 60201; or to the St. James Youth Ministry.

Marie Cebulski
Services for Marie Cebulski (nee Colletti), 88, will begin with prayers at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Parish, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness.
Born July 12, 1910, in Chicago, she died Friday, July 2, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum, River Grove.
A homemaker, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cebulski; loving mother of Dolores (Ken) Gazda; cherished grandmother of Bill (Sheri), Joe (Lucy), Jon (Yvonne) and Ryan Gazda; dear sister of the late Oscar Colletti, Lena (the late Dan) Dvornik and Josephina; sisterin-law of Frances Colletti; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many other family members.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Grace Damos of Crystal Lake
Visitation for Grace Damos, 70, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, with services at 7 p.m. The Rev. Andrew Karamitos will officiate. Visitation will also be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Runge Mortuary & Crematory,838 Kimberly Road, Davenport, Iowa, with services on at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2930 31st Ave., Rock Island. The Rev. Basil Papanikolaou will officate.
Born Oct. 12, 1928, in Davenport, Iowa, to Christopher and Mary (nee Booras) Damos, she passed away Friday, July 2, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Damos had been a supervisor of the microbiology department of Northwestern CommunityHospital in Arlington Heights for 25 years. She was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin.
Survivors include her daughters, Paula Huffman of Mundelein and Debi (Terry) Quinn of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Jonathan and Maxwell Huffman, and Aurora and Diana Quinn; sisters, Helen (Gordon) Smith of Davenport and Stephanie Yokas of Rock Island; sister-inlaw, Alice Damos of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Damos; and brotherin-law, William Yokas.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Raymond E. Decker of Libertyville
Funeral services for Raymond E. Decker, 65, a resident of Libertyville for the past 34 years, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5110 Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born Dec. 22, 1933, in Chicago, he passed away Saturday, July 3, 1999, at his home. Interment will follow the services, in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Decker was a graduate of Lane Technical High School and Wright Junior College in Chicago and was a veteran of the Army. He was the retired owner of R. E. Decker & Company, professional land surveyors in Libertyville, and was a member of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association. Ray was a member and former choir member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Gurnee. Following his retirement, he especially enjoyed building scale model airplanes.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Decker (nee Keller) of Libertyville; children, Debi (Richard) Pavletic of Lake Villa, Forrest Todd (Debra) Decker of Spring Grove and Dustin (Heather) Decker of Gurnee; sister, Geraldine (Ken) Boelhke of Mundelein; and brothers, Robert (Sue) Decker of Chicago and Donald (Mary) Decker of Roselle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Constance (nee Bartus) Decker; sister, Millicent Braiske; and brothers, William and Richard Decker.
Friends of the family may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville.

Helen Emerick of Elgin
Prayers for Helen Emerick, 69, formerly of Lake Marian, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, Carpentersville.
Born July 10, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (nee Harkins) Fiedler, she died Thursday, July 1, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Emerick was a resident of the area for more than 40 years. She was an employee of Floyds Restaurant in Carpentersville for more than 20 years. She was a member of the church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Beth Hoelterhoff of Monticello, Ky.; son, Robert M. (Susy) Emerick Jr. of Chicago; sisters, Camilla (Leo) Flynn of Chicago, Jean Krajewski of Iowa and Honor Draftz of Chicago; brother, Edward Fiedler of California; and many good friends especially, Mardy and Carl Sebastian of Carpentersville.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Brock; and brothers, Robert, Patrick and Jack Fiedler.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
