Bernice Gerrity formerly of Wilmette and Chicago
A funeral Mass for Bernice Gerrity (nee Hogan) of Spokane, Wash., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Maryville Academy, 1150 N. River Road, Des Plaines. Rev. John Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Gerrity died Saturday, June 12, 1999, in Spokane. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years with the Chicago Board of Education.
She was the wife of the late Vincent J.; mother of Patricia Ann Gerrity King of Sagle, Idaho; grandmother of A. Bruce King of Post Falls, Idaho, Cathy P. King of Deer Park, Idaho and Julia A. King of Sagle, Idaho; sister of Mary Kelly of University Heights, Ohio, Betty Heidenson of Spokane, Wash. and Phillip J. Hogan of Lake Bluff; and aunt ofnumerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Thomas Hogan; brothers, Dr. William J. Hogan and Thomas F. Hogan; and sister, Margaret O'Brien.

Timoteo M. De Jesus of Naperville
Services for Timoteo M. De Jesus, 87, a resident of Naperville since 1990, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, at FriedrichJones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
Born Jan. 24, 1912, in Lucena City, the Philippines, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
Mr. De Jesus had been employed for many years by the Maximo Vicente Company in thePhilippines as a skilled carpenter, making icons for churches and other religious uses. He came to the United States in 1987 and settled in Woodridge. In 1990, he moved to Naperville where he was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He enjoyed gardening and birds, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are his daughters, Mila De Jesus of Chicago, Evangelina and Josefina De Jesus, both of Naperville, and Fe (Ven) Corrales of Tinley Park; grandchildren, Felix, Judith and Ronaldo Corrales, and Ferlinda (James) LaPera; sisters, Concepcion Delrosario and Aurora De Jesus, both of the Philippines; brothers, Gregorio (Consuelo) De Jesus and Rufino (Monica) De Jesus, both of the Philippines, and Felix De Jesus of San Diego, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alejandra, in 1996, and brother, Augustine De Jesus.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

John J. Juraszek Jr. of Hanover Park
Services for John J. Juraszek Jr., 62, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Walter Church in Roselle.
Born Sept. 18, 1936, in Chicago, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at home.
He was the beloved husband of Irene Juraszek (nee Corrigan); loving father of Steven (Stacey) and Sharon; proud grandfather of Summer and Jake; and dear brother of Dorothy (Donald) Robak, Delphine Juraszek and the late Agnes.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

The Rev. John G. Klein
A funeral Mass for Fr. John G. Klein, 49, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, 2651 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago.
Born Oct. 11, 1949, in Chicago, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, of complications from cancer. Burial will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
Fr. Klein had served the Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Chicago for the past 24 years as a parish priest and pastor, as well as an educator and administrator at the Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminaries. He devoted his priesthood to two causes: Hispanic ministry and the formation of young men interested in the priesthood through the seminary system. Formerly the associate pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Waukegan and later the associate pastor of St. Roman Parish in Chicago for 17 years, Fr. Klein was most recently the pastor of St. Agnes of Bohemia, Chicago's largest Mexican parish. He had also taught at Quigley South High School where he was rector/principal from 1985 until 1990 when the school closed. He was then appointed as the first president of Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary by Cardinal Bernadin. Among his other achievements, Fr. Klein also served as president of the National Association of High School Seminaries and vice chairman of the Executive Committee of the Seminary Department of the National Catholic Education Association.
Surviving are his parents, Gilbert and Loretta Klein ofDes Plaines; siblings, Dorann (Jerome) Oswald of Des Plaines, Donald Klein of Norridge, Richard (Margaret) Klein of Park Ridge and James (Cecilia) Klein of Park Ridge; and nephews and niece, Mathhew, Michael, Douglas, Elizabeth and Daniel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at St. Tarcissus Church, 6020 W. Ardmore Ave., Chicago, and from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, 2651 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago. A memorial service will be conducted each evening at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary, 103 E. Chestnut St., Chicago, 60611 (312-7879343); or to St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, 2651 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60623 (773-522-0142). Please designate that the donation is for the special scholarship funds that will be established in memory of Fr. Klein.

Gloria Margaret Lindstrom of Wheaton
A graveside service for Gloria Margaret Lindstrom, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton.
Born July 4, 1915, in Chicago, she died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at B. R. Ryall YMCA in Glen Ellyn, where she was a member of the Seniors' Swim Team.
Survivors include her sons, Philip (Catherine) Lindstrom of Palatine and Larry Lindstrom of Florida; grandchildren, Brian, Erin, Margaret Ann, Kurt, Jeff, Karyn, Brandi and Lindsey Lindstrom; great-granddaughter, Britni; sister, Agnes Marie (Fred) Corkill; and brothers, Thomas (Sue) McKenna and Richard (Betty) McKenna.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Lindstrom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the DuPage Convalescent Center, 400 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187.

Jack L. McBrearty of Grayslake
A memorial Mass for Jack L. McBrearty, 80, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born April 9, 1919, in Aurora, he passed away Friday, July 9, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Florida.
Mr. McBrearty was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church in Grayslake.
Survivors include his daughter and sonin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Eddy III of Grayslake; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Michael J. Brearty of Apple Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Anita McBrearty, who passed away in February 1999, and son, Michael J. McBrearty.
Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Home& Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

Muriel H. McDonald of Warrenville
A Mass of Christian Burial for Muriel H. McDonald, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Irene Church, Warrenville.
Born June 20, 1923, in New Haven, Conn., she died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
A Warrenville resident since 1993, she was a member of St. Irene Church.
Survivors include her children, Bill (Debbie) McDonald of Naperville, Maureen (Karl) Lange of Warrenville, Tim (Audrey) McDonald of Carol Stream and Doug (Cathy) McDonald of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Molly, Matthew, Patrick, Andrew, Ian, Tim, Sherry, Frank and Will; and brother, Richard Hannan of Boca Raton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Hannan; and husband, William L. McDonald, Jan. 2, 1999.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

Betty L. Melone of Hoffman Estates
Prayers for Betty L. Melone (nee Wickland), 68, will be said at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. Mass will follow at noon, at St. Julian Eymard Church.
Born in Exira, Iowa, she died Monday July 12, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
A homemaker, she is survived by her husband, Alfred A. Sr.; children, Fred A. (Betty) Melone, Debra L. Melone and Dr. Paula J. Melone; and grandchildren, Matt, Jeff and Meghan.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes. Association.

James A. `Jim' Nuzzo of Glenview
Prayers for James A. `Jim' Nuzzo, 87, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 3535 Thornwood Avenue, Glenview.
He was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Chicago, and died Sunday July 11, 1999, at Glenbrook Hospital. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Jim was employed with I. D. O. T. for more than 20 years and was a former member of the Glenview V. F. W.
Jim is survived by his former wife, Fannie; his children, Dominick (Lorette) Nuzzo of Louisville, Ky., Salvatore (Carm) Nuzzo of Burghill, Ohio, Christopher Nuzzo of McHenry and Catherine Nuzzo of Elgin; and grandchildren, Jimmy, Alivia, Nick, Vincent and Gina Nuzzo. He was also the loved uncle of several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Cairo and Josephine May; and brothers, Joseph and Lawrence Nuzzo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Harold L. Pertle of Wheaton
Services for Harold L. Pertle, 85, a resident of Wheaton for 43 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
Born March 26, 1914, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery.
Mr. Pertle had worked for more than 30 years as a foreman at the Chicago Rivet and Machine Company in Bellwood. He was a member of Gary MemorialUnited Methodist Church in Wheaton. A lover of music, Mr. Pertle played several musical instruments.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Pertle; children, Pat (Ed) McFarland of Bartlett, Chip (Linda) Pertel of Wilmington, N. C., Nancy Brake of Grafton, Wis., and Mike Pertle of Wheaton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
