Thomas E. `N. Y. Tommy' Hallock formerly of Lake Zurich and Antioch
Services for Thomas E. `N. Y. Tommy' Hallock, 45, of Grand Marsh, Wis., will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Strang Funeral Chapel &Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Born Oct. 10, 1953, in Stanford, Conn., he passed away Monday,July 12, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
A member of D. M. M. C. motorcyle Club, he is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; brother, Steven (Kathleen) Hallock; and stepchildren, Kay Ann, Joe, Sandy, Robbie and Trina. He was Gramps to Jeremy and Kelly. He will be missed by many friends too numerous to mention.
Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the funeral chapel.

Donald D. Hook Sr. of Round Lake Beach
Memorial services for Donald D. Hook Sr., 64, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake. Rev. Lisle J. Kauffman of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake, will officiate.
Born June 20, 1935, in Grayslake, he passed away Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Liberytville.
Private interment will be in East Fox Lake Cemetery.
He made his home in Grayslake most of his life. He retired in 1987 from Fort Sheridan, where he was employed as the fire chief for many years.
He leaves his daughter, Mari Hook of Wauconda; sons, Don Jr. (Leslie) Hook of Wauwatosa, Wis., Steve (Jennifer) Hook of Naperville and Gary Hook of Grayslake; four grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Ken) Yopp of Grayslake; and brother, Bill Hook of Grayslake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys Hook; and brother, Russell Hook.
Memorials may be given to the Grayslake Historical Society, P. O. Box 185, Grayslake, IL 60030.

The Rev. John G. Klein
A funeral Mass for Fr. John G. Klein, 49, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, 2651 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago.
Born Oct. 11, 1949, in Chicago, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, of complications from cancer. Burial will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
Fr. Klein had served the Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Chicago for the past 24 years as a parish priest and pastor, as well as an educator and administrator at the Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminaries. He devoted his priesthood to two causes: Hispanic ministry and the formation of young men interested in the priesthood through the seminary system. Formerly the associate pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Waukegan and later the associate pastor of St. Roman Parish in Chicago for 17 years, Fr. Klein was most recently the pastor of St. Agnes of Bohemia, Chicago's largest Mexican parish. He had also taught at Quigley South High School where he was rector/principal from 1985 until 1990 when the school closed. He was then appointed as the first president of Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary by Cardinal Bernadin. Among his other achievements, Fr. Klein also served as president of the National Association of High School Seminaries and vice chairman of the Executive Committee of the Seminary Department of the National Catholic Education Association.
Surviving are his parents, Gilbert and Loretta Klein of Des Plaines; siblings, Dorann (Jerome) Oswald of Des Plaines, Donald Klein of Norridge, Richard (Margaret) Klein of Park Ridge and James (Cecilia) Klein of Park Ridge; and nephews and niece, Mathhew, Michael, Douglas, Elizabeth and Daniel.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, with a memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary, 103 E. Chestnut St., Chicago, 60611 (312-7879343) or St. Agnes of Bohemia Church, 2651 S. Central Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60623 (773-522-0142). Please designate that the donation is for the special scholarship funds that will be established in memory of Fr. Klein.

Hristina Kostic
Services for Hristina Kostic (nee Stojanovic) will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Sava Church, Merrillville, Ind.
Interment will be in Calumet Park Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late Mike Kostic; devoted mother of Alexandra and Nada Kostich; fond grandmother of Lili, Angela and Deanna; and dear sister of Ljubinka Konstantinovic.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle.

Rita M. Lavery of Roselle
Prayers for Rita M. Lavery (nee Grady) will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/ Roselle Rd. ),Roselle. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Walter Church. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late William; dear sister of Genevieve Martin and the late Mary Kyle; and dear aunt of Mary Sue Lawson, Jennifer (Michael) Gilbridge, John (Alice) and Charles (Dianna) Kyle.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel.

Florence G. Mason of Batavia
Private family visitation and services for Florence G. Mason, 88, will be held today, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. The Reverend Kenneth Ahlstrand will officiate.
Born Jan. 11, 1911, in Wheaton, the daughter of Charles and Louisa Vogt, she passed away Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at home.
Florence worked for more than 50 years in Batavia. She worked at Wright's Five & Dime Store, Diehl's Ben Franklin, Phipps Department Store and then completed her working career for Liska's Ben Franklin Store in 1994, at the age of 83.
Throughout her working career, she took great pride in that she walked to work every day, up to the last couple of years, when she then accepted the luxury of a ride to work. She devoted her life to her family and will be remembered for her unconditional love as a grandparent. She also had a great love for her dogs, Buddy, Steven and Raleigh. Other interests included, reading, sewing and watching soap operas on television and Lawrence Welk. She enjoyed special family outings to her favorite restaurants including, Arbys and Dairy Queen. She will be dearly missed by her beloved family.
Survivors include her daughter, Florence (Andrew) Liedberg of Batavia; grandson, James (Lisa) Liedberg; and her pride and joy, great-grandson, Thomas Liedberg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Jack L. McBrearty of Grayslake
A memorial Mass for Jack L. McBrearty, 80, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born April 9, 1919, in Aurora, he passed away Friday, July 9, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Florida.
Mr. McBrearty was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church in Grayslake.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Eddy III of Grayslake; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Michael J. Brearty of Apple Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Anita McBrearty, who passed away in February 1999, and son, Michael J. McBrearty.
Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Home& Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

James K. McCotter of Algonquin
A funeral Mass for James K. McCotter will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Margaret Mary Church. He will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
A Vietnam veteran, he was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Harman); loving fatherof Shelly Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Amanda Lewis and Brittany Lewis; devoted son of Richard and the late Mary McCotter; and dear brother of Robert, Susan (Roy) Handler, Thomas (Therese) and Paul (Sally).
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one mile west of Route 31), Algonquin.

Betty L. Melone of Hoffman Estates
Prayers for Betty L. Melone (nee Wickland), 68, will be said at 11:30 a.m. today, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. Mass will follow at noon at St. Julian Eymard Church.
Born in Exira, Iowa, she died Monday July 12, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
A homemaker, she is survived by her husband, Alfred A. Sr.; children, Fred A. (Betty) Melone, Debra L. Melone and Dr. Paula J. Melone; and grandchildren, Matt, Jeff and Meghan.

Harold L. Pertle of Wheaton
Services for Harold L. Pertle, 85, a resident of Wheaton for 43 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
Born March 26, 1914, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery.
Mr. Pertle had worked for more than 30 years as a foreman at the Chicago Rivet and Machine Company in Bellwood. He was a member of Gary MemorialUnited Methodist Church in Wheaton. A lover of music, Mr. Pertle played several musical instruments.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Pertle; children, Pat (Ed) McFarland of Bartlett, Chip (Linda) Pertel of Wilmington, N. C., Nancy Brake of Grafton, Wis., and Mike Pertle of Wheaton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Dorothy C. Richardson of Elgin
Services for Dorothy C. Richardson, 88, formerly of Knoxville and Galesburg, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Grace Episcopal Church, Galesburg. Rev. W. J. Barnds will officiate.
Born Sept. 7, 1910, in Galesburg, the daughter of Frank and Augusta (nee Johnson) Carlson, she passed away Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She graduated from Galesburg Senior High School and Brown Business College. She was a memberof Grace Episcopal Church and St. Margaret's Guild. She lived in Knoxville from 1965 until 1985, Galesburg from 1985 until 1996 and Elgin from 1996 until 1999.
Survivors include her son, Robert K. Richardson of Mequon, Wis.; daughter, Linda (Thomas) Youngren of West Dundee; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Hinchcliff-Pearson West Funeral Home, Galesburg.
Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church or St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal CHurch in Elgin.
Local arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, West Dundee.
