FLAT ROCK - Anna Pearl (Devin) Smith, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Lawrenceville Manor.
She had worked at Five Sisters Sewing Factory and attended Birds Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Armstrong of rural Flat Rock; three sons, Chester of rural Flat Rock, Don of rural Lawrenceville and Jan of Lawrenceville; 18 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester C., in 1983; a daughter, Gloria Mayfield; and a son, Kenny Devin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, with burial in Derr Cemetery.

Harold Duncan
PALESTINE - Harold A. Duncan, 93, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001. at the long-term care unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are a son, Wayne of Hutsonville; a stepdaughter, Wanda Rosenberg of Robinson; five grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Grace May (Atkins), in 1935, and Helen (Brittenham), in 1997; and a son, Lowell "Bud" Swope.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Palestine Cemetery.

Mary Endicott
CROSSVILLE - Mary Evelyn (Hayes) Endicott, 82, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She retired as bookkeeper for a nursing home and was a member of Crossville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Weinhoeft of Auburn; a son, Randy of Crossville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Dorwin C. "Lefty," died in 1987.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home Crossville Chapel, with burial in Kuykendall Cemetery.

Leonard Wallace
EQUALITY - Leonard Monroe Wallace, 86, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Select Speciality Hospital-Evansville.
He was a member of Equality Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Jane (Kingston); a son, John of Junction; a stepson, Stanley Chapman of Violet Hill, Ark.; and grandchildren.

GRAYVILLE - Veda M. (Vaupel) Glover, 94, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Owensville Convalescent Center.
She was a member of Ridge Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Viola Davis of Owensville, Ind., and Delores Lewis and Lois Ann Woods, both of Grayville; 14 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H., in 1977; a daughter, Loetta Glover; and three sons, Noel, H. Leo and William "Bill."

Robert Edwards
BRIDGEPORT - Robert Lee Edwards, 67, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville of coronary artery disease.
He was a self-employed carpenter and member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Joan (O'Brien); and five daughters.
There will be no services or visitation at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.
Ricky Henshaw
CARMI - Ricky G. Henshaw, 41, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville of a heart attack.
He was a warehouse forklift operator at Ameriqual Packaging in Evansville and had worked as a receiving agent for Roundy's Foods in Eldorado.
He was a Christian and a Mason.
Surviving are his parents, Larry G. and Judith A. (DeVar) Henshaw of Carmi; a brother, Rob of Evansville; his grandmother and stepgrandfather, Lucille and Glen Murphy; and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cook Funeral Chapel, with burial in Big Ridge Cemetery.

Charles Nelson
McLEANSBORO - Charles N. Nelson, 72, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of a myocardial infarction.
He had been a farmer and truck driver and was a Protestant.
Surviving are his wife, Lyndal "Lindy" (Chapman); a daughter, Sharon Tice of Princeton; a son, Kenneth of Orlando, Fla.; a stepson, Mitch Chapman of Cincinnati; four sisters, Rosalie Lovan of The Woodlands, Texas, Verla Duckworth of Springerton, Doris Vaughan of Mill Shoals and Ruth Fox of McLeansboro; two brothers, Dallas of McLeansboro and Ralph of Alvin; four grandchildren, Jason and Sharon Nelson and John Jr. and Angela Tice; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home, with burial in Old Springer Cemetery.

WAYNE CITY - Lula S. (Keen) Austin, 93, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Keenes Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Donald R. of rural Keenes; two grandchildren, Tammy and Scott Austin; great-grandchildren; and a niece.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at York Funeral Home, with burial in Thomason Cemetery.

Joseph Oliver
ELDORADO - Joseph Willard Oliver, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Surviving are a sister, Cotney Jackson of Kuttawa, Ky.; a brother, Murle W. of Princeton; and nieces and nephews. His wife, Emma, died in April.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
