Lodema Stovall
ELDORADO — Lodema (Johnson) Stovall, 85, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at the Eldorado Care Center.
Surviving are a son, Don of Maryville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Wolf Creek Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home.

Julia Mitchell
MCLEANSBORO - Julia Mitchell, 96, of LaCenter, Ky., formerly of McLeansboro, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Lifecare Center in LaCenter.

Surviving are three daughters, Nadine Duay of Morris, Mary Cluck of McLeansboro and Vada Willis of Kevil, Ky.; five sons, William H. Jr. of Albion, Robert E. of Montgomery, Teddy J. of McLeansboro, Don C. of Kevil and Thomas M. of Riverview, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Her husband, William H. Sr., preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Wayne Smith

MOUNT CARMEL - Wayne Hazen Smith, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Shurtleff Manor Nursing Home.

He was co-owner of Smith's Confectionary for 16 years and retired in 1978 from Snap-On Tools Corp. after 27 years.

He was a 50-year member of Disciples of Christ First Christian Church, 60-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a member White Shrine, Eastern Star and Elks.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (Whitten) Howe; a son, Edward Lee of Clearwater, Fla.; a stepson, John David Howe of Channohon; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Doris Ann Howe.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Katherine Dorsam

MOUNT CARMEL - Katherine S. Dorsam, 93, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at her home.

She worked as a claim processing representative for Blue Cross-Blue Shield, as director of medical records for Wabash General Hospital and had been a nurse.

She attended Carthage College and was an honor graduate of Wabash Valley College at the age of 60.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, past worthy matron of Eastern Star and member of the Garden Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Thurman of Albuquerque, N.M.; a granddaughter, Karen Thurman and a great-grandson. Her husband, Verl L., preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to service time at Short Funeral Home.

Ronald Bunting Jr.

BONE GAP - Ronald D. Bunting Jr., 33, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at his home.

Surviving are a daughter, Kelsey Bunting at home; his parents, Ronald and Karen Bunting; and a sister, Tonya Bunting.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, burial in Springerton Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

William Daubs

MOUNT ERIE - William E. "Bill" Daubs, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 20,. 2002, at his home.

He had owned and operated William Daubs Trucking.

Surviving are a son, Robert; and two grandchildren.

Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, burial in McKendree Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Imogene Fishel

WEST SALEM - Imogene Fishel, 84, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at her home.

She had worked in a factory and as a short order cook at the Stop and Shop.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna Keener; a son, John D.; and grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Moravian Church, with burial in Moravian Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ingram Funeral Home.

James Jackson

ROSICLARE - James R. Jackson, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at his home of apparent heart failure.

He was a fluorspar miner and had worked for Wayne Knight for 25 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lawanda Jean; his children, James, Steve, Kenny, Bobby, Billy and Jimmy Jackson, Geneva Raines, Patty Thomas and Cathy Harper; stepchildren, Debbie Smith, Brenda Turner and Johnny Church; two sisters, Margie Richerson, Loudean Schnake; two brothers, Bobby and Leonard; and 27 grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hosick Funeral Home, burial in Peters Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

James Joyce

CAVE IN ROCK - James P.E. Joyce, 64, died at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Surviving are three daughters, Karen Joyce, Andrea Kennedy and Donna Rutherford; a son, James; two sisters, Elle Ceranic and Ann Bringelson; and 10 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the cemetery fund.

Elizabeth Kamplain

ROBINSON - Elizabeth Jeanette (Reynolds) Kamplain, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong.

She had worked at a factory in West Union.

Surviving are five daughters, Loretta Jean Tracy, Rose Marie Dorney, Ellen Naydene Sanderfer, Fern Louise Melton and Gail Lynn Hall; two sons, Earl and Ron; and 17 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pulliam Funeral Home, burial in Robinson New Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Band Boosters.

Ronald McVaigh

WEST SALEM - Ronald D. McVaigh, 64, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at his home.

He retired from Champion Laboratories.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Janet Williams and Tammy Cheadle; four sons, Steve, Craig and Kevin McVaigh and Bill Harrolle Jr.; a sister, Carolyn McDonald; a brother, Paul; and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m, Saturday at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport, burial in Amity Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
