Hilda Spellmeyer of Elgin
Funeral services for Hilda Spellmeyer, 91, will be held at 2 p. m. Monday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Thomas Niermann officiating.
Born June 2, 1907, in Dorchester, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary Bunge Spellmeyer, she died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, in Rosewood Care Center. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Caledonia, Minn., on Wednesday.
Ms. Spellmeyer had been a resident since 1937 and was employed by Bunge's in Elgin before retiring. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin and the Elgin Zonta Club.
Survivors include his sister, Edna (Robert) Hill of Clearwater, Fla.; sistersin-law, Edna Spellmeyer and Virginia Spellmeyer of Elgin; nieces and nephews, Curtis (Del) Deters, Mary O'Dowd, Betty (John) Gyorr, Robert (Marjorie) Spellmeyer, Audrey (Edward) Harman, Barbara Peters, Connie (Alan) Brasier and Carol (William) Waud; 15 greatnieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, Arthur, Henry and Otto Peters, and Alfred, Herman and Harold Spellmeyer.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p. m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Timothy R. Sullivan of Ingleside
A Mass of Christian Burial for Timothy R. Sullivan, 42, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Santa Maria del Popolo Church, Mundelein.
Born Sept. 7, 1955, he died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery.
Survivors include his brothers, Terrence Sullivan of Ingleside and Thomas (Tina) Sullivan of Wildwood; sisters, Colleen Sullivan of Mundelein and Nancy (Jim) Broz of Mundelein; nephews, Daniel and Aaron; and nieces, Carol and Angela.
Visitation will be from 4to 9 p. m. Monday, at Kristan Funeral Home, 219 W. Maple (Route 176), Mundelein.

Trygve H. Utne of Hoffman Estates
Services for Trygve H. Utne, 87, formerly of Chicago and Oslo, Norway, will be held at 3 p. m. today, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born July 9, 1911, in Fredrikstad, Norway, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
He was the husband of the late Astrid; father of Fred (Dianne) Utne; and grandfather of Eric, Jeffrey and Kyle.
Visitation will be from 1 p. m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.

Robert M. `Bob' Wagner of Woodridge
Memorial services for Robert M. `Bob' Wagner, 62, will be held at11 a. m. Tuesday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Born Oct. 3, 1936, in Hastings, Neb., he died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be private.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Stacey (Wayne) Schultz of Lake Geneva; sons, Kent Wagner and Brad Wagner, both of Lake Geneva; stepdaughter, Catherine Blackwell of Ashville, N. C.; stepsons, Philippe Bosaers of Champaign, Ill. and Matthew Bossaers; four grandchildren; and brothers, Richard of Columbia of South Carolina and Jon of Riverview, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Ila Wagner, and his son, Michael Wagner.
Memorials may be made to the Kansas University Alumni Association.

Patricia M. Zender of Des Plaines
Services for Patricia M. Zender, 66, will be held at 1 p. m. Monday,at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Born June 25, 1932, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Survivors include her sister, Barbara `Bobbe' Zender of Des Plaines; and aunts, Marie (the late Elmer) Baker of Des Plaines and Victoria (the late Joseph) Loetz of Chicago.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Evelyn V. Zimmer of Arlington Heights
Services for Evelyn V. Zimmer (nee Heglund), 89, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born March 29, 1909, in Chicago, she died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens West.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late William A.; mother of Edwin J. (Diana) McCann of Mississippi, Elaine B. Pall of Arizona, and the late Bette J. Krenek and Christine E. Karkoska; grandmother of six; and great-grandmother of four.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p. m. today and from 5 to 9 p. m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Donald C. Allen of Lake County
Services for Donald C. Allen, 68, will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, atthe Church of the Annunciation, 5725 Stearns School Road, Gurnee.
Born Oct. 29, 1930, in Corry, Pa., he died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, after enjoying a choir rehearsal. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery.
A longtime resident of Lake County, Mr. Allen worked in the insurance business for 45 years, most recently at the Carl E. Mellen Agency in Waukegan.
He was an active member at the Church of the Annunciation as well as in Gerry Traxler's Choral Dynamics and several community organizations.
He also enjoyed playing golf and piano, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the husband of the late Barbara Allen (nee Waugh), whom he married Dec. 12, 1953; loving fatherof Amy (Bill) Chapin of Grayslake and Don (Leanne) Allen of Palatine; and devoted grandfather of Drew, Brad, Tim, Emily and Zachary.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.

Pauline Jayne Barrows of South Elgin
A private memorial service for Pauline Jayne Barrows, 92, formerly of St. Charles, will be held at a later date at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles.
Born Jan. 9, 1907, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of William and Alice (nee Cumming) Ramsay, she died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Alderwood Healthcare Center in South Elgin.
She is survived by her three daughters, Beverly DeMartini of Geneva, Norma (Lonnie) Beebe of St. Charles and Gloria (Joe) Schneider of West Chicago; son, William (Violet) Barrows of Carlsbad, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Barrows, in 1985; brothers, Alan and Taylor Ramsay; and sister, Gail (nee Ramsay) Berry.
Contributions in Mrs. Barrow's memory may be made to the Hospice of Integrated Health Services, 152 W. Center Court, Schaumburg, IL 60195.

Marie `Mary Lou' Baum of Palatine
Services for Marie `Mary Lou' Baum (nee Turco), 61, will begin withprayers at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and continue with Mass at 10 a. m., at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Born in Chicago, she died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at home, after a long and courageous struggle with breast cancer. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mrs. Baum was a former elementary school teacher in Chicago, a job she left to raise a family. She wasa former CCD teacher for St. Zachary Catholic Church in Des Plaines and a former volunteer at the Robert Frost Elementary School in Mount Prospect. In her final years, she enjoyed assisting her husband in handling the bookkeepingfor their business. Mrs. Baum also held many offices in the Hunting Ridge Homeowners' Bowling League. Before her illness, she enjoyed golf, tennis and traveling to shop for her children and grandchildren.
Mary Lou was a loving, caring, and loyal friend to many.
Survivors include her husband, Roger J. Baum; daughters, Cynthia (Christian) Guerrero and Kathryn (Christopher) Loughran; grandchildren, Shane, Dylan, Colin and Kailey; sisters, Dolores (Sal) Pellicane and Joyce (Terry) Doherty; brothers-in-law, Robert Markay, Jack Markay, Dale (Sheryl) Markay and Larry (Tisa) Baum; sister-in-law, Barbie Markay; nieces and nephews, Linda, Jim, Jenni, John, Melanie, Christina and Melissa; father- and mother-in-law, John L. Markay and Virginia Baum; and aunts and uncles, Mike (Penny), Marie (Harry) and Emily.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Harold W. Brady of Cary
Services for Harold W. Brady, 85, a 40-year resident of Cary, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, at Windridge Funeral Home, Ltd., 104 High Rd., Cary.
Speaker Ronald Emburg of American Missionary Fellowship will officiate.
Born Dec. 19, 1913, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
A retired insurance manager for Victor Comptometer Corp. in Chicago, he was a charter member of Cary-Grove Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include his son-in-law, Gerald Parkhurst of Lansing, Mich.; granddaughters, Sheri (Daniel) Kirkwood of Winter Park, Fla., Christine (Robert) Anderson of Albion, Mich., Bethany Jean Parkhurst and Emily Elizabeth Parkhurst of Lansing, Mich.; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (nee Meissner); son, Richard Brady; and daughter, Ruth Joyce Brady Parkhurst.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Tuesday, at the funeral home.
