Ella F. McLaughlin of Elgin
Services for Ella F. McLaughlin, 75, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Born Oct. 2, 1923, in Barnsdall, Okla., to Will and Anna (nee Gifford) Slammans, she died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Mrs. McLaughlin had been a resident of Elgin from 1961 to 1982 and from 1995 until her death. She had been employed by St. Joseph and Sherman hospitals before retiring and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel McLaughlin; sons, John (Linda) Harvill of Crainville, Ill., Randy (Kim) McLaughlin of Woodstock and Kevin (Terri) McLaughlin of Elgin; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from noon until the timeof services at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Milton `Bud' Michehl formerly of Des Plaines
Services for Milton `Bud' Michehl, 80, will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Hwy. ), Mount Prospect.
Born June 20, 1918, in Des Plaines, he died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Sun City Center in Florida. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Michehl was a retired director for the Des Plaines Public Works, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #255 and a member of the Des Plaines Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl (nee Biermann); sons, Keith (Crystal) and Gary (Dorie) Michehl; daughter, Audrey Franczkowski; grandchildren, Tim (Paula) and Kristi Franczkowski and Crisann and Rachel Michehl; brothers, George and Wilbert Michehl; sisters, Dorothy Snyderand Virginia Marro; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Robert B. Mac Neal of Ingleside
Services for Robert B. Mac Neal, 77, will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Dec. 17, 1921, in Chicago, he passed away suddenly, Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at La Grange Memorial Hospital, La Grange. Interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery, Ingleside, following the services.
A former resident of Orland Park, Mr. Mac Neal had made his home in Ingleside for the past 10 years. He was a member of Triangle Masonic Lodge 797, Riverdale, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Chicago, and a member of Medinah Temple A. A. O. N. M. S., Chicago. He owned and operated Donald B. Mac Neal, Inc., in Chicago, a family-owned organization, for more than 50 years, and also owned and operated Holiday Park in Ingleside for more than 50 years.
He leaves his wife, Mary Helen Mac Neal; daughters, Bonnie Sheil of Ingleside, Roberta (Timothy) Presbitero of Orland Park and Sandra (Robert) Geisler of McHenry; son, Bruce (Jill) Mac Neal of Lockport, Ill.; grandchildren, Amie and Anthony Presbitero, Ashley and Gregory Sheil, Bobbie Geisler, and Robert and Katherine Mac Neal; sister, Marion (George) Watson of Ingleside; and cousins, Jack and Bill Thompson.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to 10 p. m. Tuesday, at the chapel, where Masonic rites will be offered during the evening, under the auspices of Rising Sun Lodge 115 A. F. & A. M., Grayslake.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707, Attn: Cathy Smrcina.

Cecil R. Neal
Funeral services for Cecil R. Neal, 76, of Rhinebeck, N. Y., will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville, with the Rev. Kenneth Press officiating.
Born Dec. 12, 1922, in Zion, he passed away suddenly Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, in Rhinebeck, N. Y. Interment will follow in Ivanhoe Cemetery.
He was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Air Corps during World War II. He entered the Air National Guard following World War II and was called into active duty during the Korean War, retiring with the rank of major.
He was a member and former chaplain of the American Legion Post #79 in Burlington, Wis., a member of a bowling league and worked for many years at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. He was also a former deacon at the Grace Baptist Church in Racine, Wis. and the First Baptist Church in Rhinebeck. Mr. Neal retiredas supervisor of the pressroom for the Western Publishing Company in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Neal (nee Ritta); children, Janet (Tom Hughes) Neal of Waterford, Wis., Gerald (Donna) Neal of Thompson Falls, Mont., Thomas (Carlene) Neal of Salem, Ore., and John Neal of Red Hook, N. Y.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his brother- and sisters-in-law, Ernest Ritta, Fran Hertel and Shirley Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ethel Neal; sister, Wilma Morris; and sister-in-law, Irene McCormick.
Friends of the family may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of services on Wednesday.

Raymond P. `Ray' Neff of Naperville
Services for Raymond P. `Ray' Neff, 81, a lifelong Naperville resident, will begin at 9:15 a. m. Tuesday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a. m., at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 26 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. The Rev. James Burnett will officiate.
Born March 28, 1917, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Jan. 9,1999, at home. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Neff had moved to Naperville as an infant. He served in the Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Later he was employed for more than 25 years by Kroehler Manufacturing Company in Naperville, and from 1979 to 1982 by DuPage Precision Products in Naperville. He was a member of VFW Judd Kendall Post 3873 and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen Potts of Bolingbrook; son, Timothy (Cindy) Neff of Michigan; grandchildren, Chris (Karen) Potts of Bolingbrook, Michelle Potts of Naperville, Jamie Potts of Bolingbrook and Melissa Pottsof Bolingbrook; great-grandson, Kyle Potts of Bolingbrook; sister, Helen Cottle of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Neff (nee Althoetmar), in 1986; son, Michael R. Neff; and parents, Adam and Ann Neff.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Joseph E. O'Malley of Elk Grove Village
Prayers for Joseph E. O'Malley, 72, formerly of LaGrange, will be said at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd. (three blocks south of Biesterfield Rd. ),Elk Grove Village. Mass will follow at 10 a. m. at Queen of the Rosary Church.
Born inLaGrange, he died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael theArchangel Cemetery, Palatine.
A 40-year resident of Elk Grove Village, he was a veteran of the Army. He was a retired 30-year employee of Amoco Corp. and a member of Elk Grove V. F. W. Post 9284.
He was the husband of Patricia S. (nee Untiedt); father of Michael J., William B. (Cheryl), James G. (Deanna), Thomas K. and Laura J. (David) Granata; son of the late Thomas and Sarah O'Malley; brother of Francis (Bobbi), Margaret, Grace (late Jack) Koath, Agnes (late Thomas) Dressler, and the late Thomas, Charles, John and Sarah; grandfather of Kristin, Matthew, Heather, Benjamin and Kara Granata, and Brittney, Lindsey, Kevin, Joseph, Brian and Meghan O'Malley; and uncle and greatuncle ofmany.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p. m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Wanda J. Piat formerly of North Chicago
Mass of Christian Burial for Wanda J. Piat, 79, of Englewood,Fla., will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, at Queen of Peace Church, 910-14th St., North Chicago.
Born Sept. 22, 1919, in North Chicago, she died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, in Englewood. Burial will follow the Mass in Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
Mrs. Piat was a supervisor for Sager Lock Shop in Waukegan and a former member of Holy Rosary Church.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stanley Piat; stepsister, Helen Ciolek of Gurnee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (nee Kortz) Such, anda sister, Cecilia Wallin, in 1997.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a. m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a. m., Wednesday, at the church.

Nancy L. Pilewski of Huntley
A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy L. Pilewski, 42, formerly of Des Plaines, will be celebrated at 11 a. m. Wednesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley, with the Rev. Robert M. Garrity officiating.
Born June 20, 1956, in Evanston, to Henry and Elizabeth (nee Blameuser) Watry, she died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
Mrs. Pilewski was a 1974 graduate of Maine West High School and married William J. Pilewski on Aug. 3, 1985, in Huntley.
Surviving are her husband, William; mother, Elizabeth Watry of Huntley; brother, Paul Watry of Schaumburg; sisters, Christine Watry and Mary (Jack) Perry, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nephews, Justin Veach and Daniel Perry; niece, Erin Veach; and mother- and father-in-law, Erwin and Shirley Pilewski.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Watry, in 1976.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley.
Memorials may be directed to the St. Joseph Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center in Elgin.

John Fred Poellien formerly of Palatine
Local funeral services for John Fred Poellien, 60, of Cassville, Ark., will be announced at a later date. Born Nov. 14, 1938, in Chicago, he died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at his home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Poellien worked for 8 years in Rolling Meadows and for 24 years in Arlington Heights in the forestry division.
He was the son of the late Evelyn Rita and John Edward Poellien; husband of Carol Poellien, whom he married Dec. 26, 1992, in Minneapolis, Minn.; brother of the late Charles Poellien; father of Joseph Poellien of Algonquin and Jeanett (Tony) Rosario of Berwyn; stepfather of Jan Morine of St. Paul, Minn., Peter Morine of Minneapolis, Minn., Tim Morine of Minneapolis, Minn., Karen Morine of Minneapolis, Minn. and Virginia (Dale)Peterson; brother of Charles Poellien; and grandfather of seven. He is also survived by many friends and fishing buddies.
