HAMMOND -- Joyce V. Yeast, 74, of Bloomington died 9 a.m. Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) in her home.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, and 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Don Roszkowski officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will bein Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Ms. Yeast was born April 1, 1928, in Hammond, the daughter of Raymond and Effie Miller Yeast. She was a clinical lab director, specializing in testing services for Cornbelt Biochemical Lab. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., and received a bachelor of science degree from Millikin University, master of science degree from Illinois State University and doctor of philosophy degree from Jackson State University of Nashville, Tenn.
Surviving are her sisters, Veda Kost of Mount Vernon, Ind.; Gwen Yeast of Springfield; brother, Randall Yeast of Augusta, Wis.; 19 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Carrico and Joann Coers; and an infant brother, Lynn Yeast.

DECATUR -- Elizabeth Alexandra Chiligiris, 37, of Decatur passed away 9:19 a.m. Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. The Rev. Theodore Vaggalis will officiate. Visitation was Sunday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Liz was born July 10, 1965, in Urbana, the daughter James Schum and Caren Guthrie. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Larry Osborne. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Decatur and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. She married James V. Chiligiris on Sept. 28, 1985, in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband; children, Angelike and Vasilios, at home; mother and stepfather, Caren Himstedt and Haldon of Decatur; brothers, Todd E. Schum and wife Connie of Danville; Daniel T. Schum and wife Cindy of Decatur; grandmother, Grace Guthrie of Decatur; stepgrandparents, Hal and Mary Ann Himstedt of Pana; nieces and nephews, Dylan, Kyle, Hannah and Sarah; father-in-law, Vasilios Chiligiris of Greece; brothers-in-law, Constadinos Chiligiris and wife Christine;
Apostolis Chiligiris and wife Astero; nephews, Vasilios, John and Vasilios; nieces, Angelike and Angelike, all of Greece; uncle, George K. Chiligiris and wife Carol; and her extended Chiligiris family of Decatur.
Elizabeth was a loving, giving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed.

Doris was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Springfield, the daughter of George J. and Alice Marie Eddy Smith. She retired as a Bell Telephone long-distance operator. She married Thomas Dehne in 1982 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Charles Petro and Tim Petro, both of Decatur; Terry Petro of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Tammy Ross of Phoenix; stepdaughters, Dawn Gober of Texas; Wendy Maguire of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters, Verna Kramer and husband Howard of Decatur; Carol Galloway of Phoenix; brother, Edward Smith and wife Vickie of Warrensburg; 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister and daughter, Tina.

John was born March 8, 1927, in Oakley, the son of Ernest and Zelda White Hector. He retired from Wabash Railroad after 44cs142super super 1/sub 2 years of service and served his country in the Navy during World War II. He had served as president of Hopes Unlimited. John loved to bowl and enjoyed
hunting and woodworking. He married Elizabeth A. "Betty" Groom on Feb. 15, 1948, in Roseville, Mich.
Surviving are his wife; son, David Hector and wife Phyllis of Decatur; daughters, Cathy Hector and Kim Hector, both of Decatur; brother, Richard Hector and wife Norma of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Dorothy was born May 29, 1912, in Bethany, the daughter of Daniel Grissom and Tella Roney Warren. She worked on the family farm, was a cook for Drumstick Restaurant in Sullivan and was a member of Sullivan First United Methodist Church. She married Leon Graven on June 17, 1933, in Shelbyville. He preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1972.
Surviving is her son, Larry Graven and wife Susan of Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, daughter, two sisters and six brothers.
