KELL -- Opal K. Wilkins, 94, Kell, homemaker, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003).

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, L. R. Osborn & Son Funeral Home, Kell. Visitation was Monday. Burial: Zion Grove Cemetery, Kell. Memorials: Zion Grove Cemetery Fund.

Member: Kell Baptist Church. Survivors: sons, Bennett Wilkins, Decatur; Darrell Wilkins, Kell; stepson, Birdie Wilkins; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren, 19 great- stepgrandchildren; 11 gre at-great-stepgrandchildren.

LOUISVILLE -- Jerry Duane Wilmert, 59, Louisville, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003).

Graveside services: 3 p.m. Tuesday, Floral Garden Memories, Flora. Arrangements by: Neal Funeral Home, Louisville.

DECATUR -- Emma Mae Ater, 85, Decatur, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003).

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Ater-Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. Visitation: one hour before services. Burial: Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound. Memorials: First Christian Church, Blue Mound, or Fair Havens Christian Home.

Akers

DECATUR -- Donna Louise Akers, 62, Decatur, homemaker, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003).

Memorial services: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Parkway Church of the Nazarene. No visitation. Private family burial at a later date. Arrangements by: Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials: American Diabetes. Association.

Brosemer

MACON -- Frances Riley Brosemer, 88, of Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Macon, died Jan. 13, 2003.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 15, 2003, in Our Lady of Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Huntsville, with Father Joy Chalissery officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville. Spry Funeral Home, Huntsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brosemer was a native of Macon and longtime resident of Huntsville. She was educated at St. Teresa High School in Decatur and the College of St. Francis in Joliet.

Surviving are her son, Walter Brosemer of Huntsville; daughters, Mary Frances Brosemer and Katherine Weathers, both of Huntsville; Rachel Scarlata of Divide, Colo.; Ellen Brosemer of Houston, Texas; sisters, Margaret Puschel of Springfield; Eloise Martin of Yuba City, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brosemer; parents, John and Agnes Tomlinson Riley; brothers, Walter Riley and David Riley; sister, Helen Egizii.

Drumm

DECATUR -- Roy Duane Drumm, 66, Decatur, formerly of Mattoon, construction laborer, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003).

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, Mattoon. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cooks Mills, with military rites.

Member: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Teamsters Local. Survivors: wife, Lillian; daughters, Julie Drumm Lading and Beckie Drumm, both of Humboldt; stepdaughters, Cindi Golembeck, Litchfield Park, Ariz.; Diane Hudgens, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Lyle Drumm, Lerna; sister, Ruth White, Lerna; three grandchildren; one stepgrandchild. Preceded by: parents and one brother.

Hayes

DECATUR -- William Lenard Hayes Jr., 40, of Decatur died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Life Changers Church with Pastor G.E. Livingston officiating. There will be no visitation. Walker Funeral Service and Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hayes was born Oct. 15, 1962, in Decatur, the son of Williams T. Hayes Sr. and Iola Hayes. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1980. He was a gifted musician and played for various churches in the community. He was a member of Life Changers Church.

He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories, his father of Decatur; brother, Rodney W. Hayes of Decatur; sisters, Jean (Otis) Holifield of Decatur; Ruby Hayes of Decatur, Ga.; special friend, Edger Poe of Decatur; a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

The family would like to thank Cedarwood Nursing Home for their patience and the fourth-floor staff of Decatur Memorial Hospital for their concern and compassion.

Long

DECATUR -- Virginia Louise "Ginny" Long, 73, of Decatur passed away 8:26 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Decatur Memorial Hospital Heart and Lung Institute.

Ginny was born Sept. 30, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Owen and Bonita Loring McCaughey. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She married David V. Long on Nov. 17, 1951, in Decatur. She and her husband later built a beautiful home in Decatur where they lived for 45 years.

Surviving are her husband; daughter, Janet Irwin and husband Gordon of Danvers; son, David Long of Bloomington; brother, Owen McCaughey of Santa Anna, Calif.; grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Sam and Gianna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Peters

DECATUR -- Barbara Carolyn Peters, 77, Decatur, homemaker, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003).

Services: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation: two hours before services. Graveside services: Thursday, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Memorials: Macon County Historical Society.

Smith

WARRENSBURG -- Patricia A. Smith, 80, of Danville died Jan. 14, 2003, in Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

Services were Jan. 17, 2003, Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Lakeside Barrick Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Danville, the daughter of Patrick H. and Marie C. Craft Pugh.

Surviving are her son, William Robert (Mary Jane) Smith of Richmond, Va.; brothers, Jack A. (Dorothy) Pugh of Warrensburg; William R. (Billie) Wicker of Covington, Ind.; one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Stilwell

DECATUR -- Kenneth R. Stilwell, 90, Decatur, music instructor, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003).

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Westminster Presbyterian Church. Visitation was Tuesday. Burial: Fairlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by: Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Memorials: Kemmerer Village in Assumption, or Decatur School District music department.
