ARGENTA -- Mary M. Fassino, 82, of Argenta, formerly of Standard, died 11:45 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) in her daughter's home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Helmer Shields Funeral Home, Granville, with the Rev. Christine Tinker officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Granville.
Mary was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Martinsville, the daughter of George and Lillian Wallace Sweezy. She worked at Iecore in Oglesby and Hobbs in Spring Valley. She married Dominic Fassino on Aug. 27, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty (Don) Ploch of Argenta; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Sweezy of Virginia; Gerald Sweezy of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Lola, Louise and Vera; and brothers, John and George.

Hoffman
DECATUR -- Harry LeRoy Hoffman, 65, of Pinellas Park, Fla., formerly of Decatur, died 1 a.m. Jan. 5, 2003, in Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Fla.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North. The body was cremated. A gathering of friends and family will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Schaeffer's Bowl. Memorials: American Lung Association or National Association for Autistic Children.
Mr. Hoffman was born March 26, 1937, in Jacksonville, the son of Wilbur Roy and Frances Mahoney Hoffman. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 1989, where he enjoyed a 30-year career as a draftsman, and then moved to Florida. After retirement, he was recalled to Caterpillar Inc. as a consultant for several years. In Florida, he worked part time as an airport limousine driver. He was a member of several bowling leagues and enjoyed playing golf. He was a devoted father and lived for his family. His marriage to Martha Jane Austin, formerly of Harristown, ended in divorce, and he later married Dickie Warner of Decatur. She preceded him in death Aug. 12, 1996.
Surviving are his sons, Brian Laughlin and wife Carmen of West Carrollton, Ohio; Eric Hoffm
an of Pinellas Park; daughter, Amy Kline and fiance Eric Bovee of Pinellas Park; brother, Gerald Hoffman of Pinellas Park; sister, Cherie Blackford and husband Tony of Mahomet.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
