VANDALIA -- Jo Ann Gable, 62, resident of Rosewood Care Center, Peoria, died 1:55 a.m. Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) in Rosewood.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church, Peoria, with the Rev. Steven Barnes officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore. Wilton Mortuary, Peoria, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Salem Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Gable was born April 16, 1940, in Vandalia, to Thomas and Verneal Lola Holmes Carroll. She worked in marketing for SAM's Club for 15 years and retired in 2002. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Women of Moose Chapter 673, Pekin, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughters, Angela Gable of Tampa, Fla.; Stephanie Dever of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren.

Mary was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Cheyenne, Wyo., the daughter of Clyde Everett and Evelyn W. Hill Goodwin. She was a homemaker and retired from Kemper Insurance Co. She was a member of Central Christian Church, St. Mary's Auxiliary, Decatur PTA and the Ladies Pricella Group at Central Christian Church. She married Louis W. Bartello. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Lou Brown-Nolan and husband Patrick Nolan of Decatur; brothers, Leslie P. Goodwin and wife Jean and Russell A. Goodwin and wife Mary, all of Decatur; Wayne H. Goodwin and wife Kathy of Mount Zion; sister, Evelyn L. Ballinger of Decatur; grandchildren, David L. Brown and wife Kathy of Naperville; Dena S. Sexton and wife Michael of Decatur; Buggie O'Grady and husband Sean of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Caroline Brown, Anna Brown, William Sexton, Mary Grace Sexton, Mary Frances O'Grady and Daniel O'Grady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother and son-in-law, Donald L. Brown.

Riley
DECATUR -- Andrew L. "Andy" Riley, 53, of Decatur and Gulf Shores, Ala., died Wednesday (Jan. 15, 2003) as a result of a fishing accident in the Gulf of Mexico.
Memorial services will be 8 p.m. Monday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation two hours before services.
Andy was born Feb. 5, 1949, in Decatur, the son of Myrle and Elinore Miller Riley. Andy worked at Dunlap Nursery in Blue Mound and had a tremendous passion for fishing and gardening. He married Barb Grissom on July 5, 2002.
Surviving are his wife; brothers, Dan Riley and wife Mary Ann and Mike Riley and wife Laura, all of Decatur; sisters, Nancy Phillips and husband Rodney of Decatur; Debbie Nicholls of Forsyth; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Patrick; and infant sister, Patricia.
Andy will be greatly missed by his wife, family and many friends.
