Fisher

DECATUR -- David G. Fisher, 63, of Decatur died Thursday (Jan. 2, 2003) in Peoria.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Memorials: David G. Fisher Memorial Fund.

David was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Arcola, the son of Raymond and Leona Anderson Fisher. He worked as a truck driver for several years. He married Aleita A. Potter on July 15, 1996, in Sullivan.

Surviving are his wife; stepsons, David Kaczmarek of Elgin; Thomas (Laurie) Kaczmarek of Schaumburg; stepdaughter, Diana (Michael) Goodwin of Bartlett; brother, Carl (Carol) Fisher of Monticello; sisters, Nancy J. "June" (Robert) Hatch of Decatur; Doris Ann "Pat" (Art) Smith of Decatur; nine stepgrandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Fisher; and stepson, Robert Kaczmarek.

Nelson

MOUNT ZION -- Cecil E. Nelson, 70, Mount Zion, retired from Caterpillar Inc., died Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003).

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services: 3:30 p.m. Monday, Crouch Cemetery, McLeansboro. Memorials: Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund.

DECATUR -- Mildred Gene Pruett, 76, Decatur, died Friday (Jan. 3, 2003).

DECATUR -- Kenneth Lee "Ken" Winholtz, 38, Decatur, Mueller Co. supervisor of maintenance, died Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003).

Matthews

DECATUR -- Curtis James Matthews, 70, Decatur, died Saturday (Jan. 4, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Walker Funeral Service and Chapel.

Mills

DECATUR -- Marjorie Louise Mills, 93, widow of Ralph Mills, of Greenville, S.C., passed away Dec. 24, 2002.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Jan. 25 in the United Methodist Church, Mason. Following her memorial services, her ashes will be buried next to Raleigh Siddens, her husband of 55 years. The Mackey Mortuary, Greenville, S.C., is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Foursquare Gospel Church of Decatur or United Methodist Church of Mason.

Mrs. Mills was born in Mason, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Ruby Doris Reed Gibson. She had operated her own beauty shop in Mason. After moving to Decatur, she managed and taught for many years at the Laura Hallford School of Beauty Culture on North Water Street. Before her move to South Carolina, she was an active member of Foursquare Gospel Church and treasured her close friendship with the Rev. Sylvia Erickson.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jacquilyn Siddens of Greenville, S.C., with whom she had made her home for the past 16 years; sister, Eleanor Martin of Watson; brother, Philip Gibson and wife Evelyn of Falls Church, Va.; granddaughter, Roberta Geery and husband Walter of Mount Laurel, N.J.; great-grandson, Daniel Geery of Mount Laurel; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Keylor and husband Duane of Reading, Pa.; great-great-grandchildren, Kacey and Drew Keylor.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raleigh Siddens; second husband, Ralph Mills; brothers, Hubert, Stanley and Robert Gibson; sister, Maxine Stroud; and grandson, Kenneth Siddens.

Sowell

DECATUR -- Henry C. Sowell Sr., 39, of Decatur passed away 7:05 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 31, 2002) in his home.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials: to the family.

Henry was born Sept. 5, 1963, in Benton Harbor, Mich., the son of Betty Jean Grant and Lonnie Sowell Sr. He was an appliance repairman. He married Soraya Gutierrez on Aug. 30, 1988, in Decatur.

Surviving are his wife; father, Lonnie Sowell Sr. and wife Gayle of Charleston; mother, Betty Jean Shelby of Benton Harbor; sons, Henry Sowell Jr. of Decatur and Wesley Sowell of Effingham; daughter, Nichole Sowell of Paris; brother, Lonnie Sowell Jr. of Charleston; sisters, Lisa Bacon and husband Robert of Hannibal, Mo.; Cristine Koch and husband Darrin of Charleston; Donna Cox and husband Micky of Kansas, Ill.; Kathy Prosser and husband Bobby of Stewardson; Charlotte Chappel and husband Robert of Allegan, Mich.; granddaughter, Tiffany Brooke Sowell of Paris; mother-in-law, Acte Gutierrez of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Desiree Galan, Jeannie Mattingly and Maria Arnold, all of Decatur; brother-in-law, Mauricio Gutierrez of Los Angeles, Calif.; special nephew, Garett Galan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert Christopher Gutierrez, and father-in-law, Herbert Gutierrez.

Camden

BEMENT -- Margaret Alyeen Camden, 63, Bement, died Saturday (Jan. 4, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, Bement.

Adams

SHELBYVILLE -- Robert Thomas Adams, 81, Shelbyville, formerly of Fulton, Adams Construction Co. owner/operator, died Tuesday (Dec. 31, 2002).

Services were Saturday. Arrangements by: Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial: Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Branyan

ASSUMPTION -- Leland Ralston Branyan, 88, lifelong resident of Assumption, died 6:45 p.m. Friday (Jan. 3, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, with the Rev. Tom Compton officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials: First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Branyan was born April 8, 1914, in Assumption, the son of Alexander and Alice Brown Branyan. He was a member of the Assumption United Methodist Church and farmed in the Assumption area until his retirement in 1984. He married Hazel May Long of Assumption on March 7, 1936, and they had five children. Hazel preceded him in death in 1957. He married Mildred G. Mathias of Moweaqua in 1962. They spent many happy years together buying and selling antiques, restoring and driving their Model T Ford in parades, attending steam engine and Whizzer bike shows and spending winters in Fort Meyers, Fla. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, a charter member of Vintage Motor Bike Club and a member of Prairie State Model T Club and five investment clubs in Assumption and Moweaqua.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; daughters, Janae Weinhold of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Marla Rose of Assumption; Sharon Golden of St. Louis, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Janet Branyan of Assumption; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervil; sister, Lois; first wife; and sons, Richard and James Leland.

Feken

SHELBYVILLE -- Ada May Feken, 96, of Shelbyville, formerly of Fairbury, died 9:15 p.m. Friday (Jan. 3, 2003) in Shelbyville Manor.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Chenoa Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Owens officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials: First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville Sound System Fund.

Mrs. Feken was born June 13, 1906, in Livingston County near Weston, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Alice May Wiles Engel. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville, where she was active in the church quilting group METS, United Methodist Women and serving Rotary meals. She married John Henry Feken on Nov. 18, 1934. He preceded her in death July 7, 1964.

Surviving are her son, John H. Feken and wife Phyllis of Shelbyville; grandsons, John E. Feken of Lee; Michael L. Feken and wife Dawn of Cowden; great-grandchildren, Kayla Lea, Charles Joseph and Josephine Mae Feken, all of Cowden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Charles Claus Feken, and sister, Esther M. Engel.

Olson

GREENUP -- Theodore Olson, 97, Greenup, died Friday (Jan. 3, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup.

Colclasure

SALEM -- Nila Powell Colclasure, 88, Salem, homemaker, died Friday (Jan. 3, 2003).

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Kinmundy Christian Church. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services in the church. Burial: Oskaloosa Cemetery. Arrangements by: Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy. Memorials: Oil Belt Christian Service Camp.

Conner

CERRO GORDO -- Mary A. Conner, 99, formerly of Cerro Gordo, died 9:40 a.m. Dec. 19, 2002, in Kirby Hospital, Monticello.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in DeLand Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge 137 or Piatt County Nursing Home.

Mary was born July 28, 1903, the daughter of Adolph and Caroline Goodman Draegert. She was a school teacher in Iowa and Central Illinois and retired from Argenta-Oreana School District in 1962. She was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Illinois Retired Teachers Association, Rebekah Lodge 137 and Order of the Eastern Star. She married Leslie E. Craft on March 19, 1925, in Macomb. He preceded her in death in 1979. She married Charles E. Conner on March 3, 1961, in Cerro Gordo. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1976.

Surviving are her five children, Glen N. Craft and wife Analee of Roswell, N.M.; grandchildren, Laura, Chris and Julie; Lee E. Craft and wife Charlotte of Monroe, Wis.; grandchildren, LeAnn, Cary, Cindy and Randy; Joyce A. Chenoweth and husband John of Decatur; grandchildren, Pamela, Mark and Mike; N. Jean Tyler of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; grandchild, Debra; Robert E. Craft and wife Betty of Champaign; grandchildren, Joanna, Jeff and Jennifer; stepson, Wendall Conner and wife Catherine of Biloxi, Miss.; 14 grandchildren (named above); 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four great-stepgranddaughters; two great-stepgrandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, five brothers and three sisters.

Moroney

TAYLOR SPRINGS -- Carole Jo Moroney, 63, Taylor Springs, Carole's Beauty Shop owner/operator, died Saturday (Jan. 4, 2003).

Services: noon Tuesday, Bass-Patton Memorial Home, Hillsboro. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial: St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro. Memorials: American Heart Association, Diabetes. Association or Kidney Foundation.

Dunkirk

TAYLORVILLE -- Donald E. Dunkirk, 42, Taylorville, Illinois State Police Academy maintenance employee, died Thursday (Jan. 2, 2003).

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial: Morrisonville Cemetery.
