Hunt

DECATUR -- Richard A. Hunt, 73, of Decatur died Friday (Feb. 7, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mr. Hunt was born March 31, 1929, the son of James and Beulah Parr Hunt. Mr. Hunt retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985 after 30 years of service. He also served in the Army from 1946 to 1947 and was a member of the American Legion Post 105. Mr. Hunt truly loved to fish and play golf. He married Betty J. Potter on August 4, 1956, in Illiopolis.

Surviving are his wife; children, Roberta Beiler, Ronald L. Tucker and Charles R. Tucker, all of Decatur; Bob Snell and wife Lola of Georgetown; Diana Coombs and husband Jon of Forsyth; foster daughter, Carolyn Rusnak of Wilmington, Del.; brother, Gary Hunt and wife Ginger of Licking, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Bodine of Decatur; Shirley Johnson of Crofton, Md.; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; son, William "Billy" Tucker and grandson Ronald Tucker, Jr.

Marshall

DECATUR -- Robert N. Marshall, 74, Decatur, died Friday (Feb. 7, 2003).

Graveside services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. Arrangements by: Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home.

Neal

DECATUR -- Stevie Michael Neal, 45, of Decatur passed from this life Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) in Springfield Memorial Medical Center.

Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Church of the Living God PGT Temple 3 with Bishop Calvin Peppers officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Stevie was born Aug. 31, 1957, in Decatur, the son of Robert and Lillie Walker Neal. He graduated from Eisenhower High School and worked for a short period at Wagner Castings Co. He attended Church of the Living God PGT Temple 3. A very strong man, Stevie fought a long and hard battle with kidney failure for 20 years.

He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories, his one and only daughter, Angel (Juan) White of Decatur; mother; sisters, Dorothy Mae Donelson and Wanda (Antoine) Dotson, all of Decatur; brothers, Robert (Lisa) Neal Jr., Curtis Neal, Wallace Neal and Gary Neal, all of Decatur; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the Kidney Dialysis Center on Wood and McKinley streets, the staff on 5B and 2E at Springfield Memorial Medical Center and the nephrologists, Dr. Mitra, Dr. Meta, Dr. Tamis, Dr. Kha and Dr. Weaber of Springfield Memorial Medical Center, for giving our loved one 20 years of great care.

Daddy, I miss you already. I wish you wouldn't have left, but I know you're free. Love, your daughter, Angel.

Sarver

DECATUR -- Delice M. Sarver, 77, of Decatur died 5:30 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 6, 2003) in McKinley Court.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday in God s Abundant Love Church, Long Creek. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Juvenile Diabetes. Association.

Mrs. Sarver was born May 30, 1925, in Russell Springs, Ky., the daughter of Ezra and Arizona Stephens Walters. She was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church, now known as God s Abundant Love Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, socializing with friends and playing cards. She married Kenneth Sarver on August 22, 1953 in Shelbyville. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Kenneth Sarver of Arkansas; daughters, Angela McKeever and husband Craig of Bonita Springs, Fla.; Delice Hill of Long Creek; Judy Force and husband Jed of Long Creek; grandchildren, Rhonda, Michael, Phil, Angie, and Bailey; one great-grandson; and the apple of her eye, Michael "Bubby"; brother, Either Walters and wife Mary of Decatur; sister, Ina Barnett of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Elbert Sarver; grandson, Todd and sister Thelma Maltby.

The family would like to send a very special thank you to her best friend, Lucy Fritz.

Shull

DECATUR -- Aundrea Fae Shull, 13, of Decatur died Thursday (Feb. 6, 2003) enroute to Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Illinois.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Donations to help pay for Aundrea Shull s funeral arrangements may be made payable to Rochelle D. Boline, at Garfield Estates, 3611 Garfield, Decatur, IL 62526.

Aundrea was born Jan. 26, 1990, in Decatur, the daughter of Rob L. Shull and Rochelle D. Boline. She was a member of the Edge youth group at Glad Tidings Church and attended Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints with her Grandpa Boline. She attended Mound Middle School and was a member of the choir, band and Girls Scouts of America.

Surviving are her parents; brothers, Andrew D. Boline; Brandon, Jameson, Cameron, Christian and Colton Hart, all of Decatur; sister, Kaite Hart of Decatur; grandparents, Rodney Boline of Maroa; Georgia Boline of DeRidder, La.; Don and Mary Shull of Decatur; great-grandparents, Jaqueline Bell of Decatur; George and Mary Roady of Hubert, N.C.; aunts and uncles, Richard (Deana) Point and Lu Burns, all of Decatur; Larry and Gina Blankenship of Springfield; Frank Shull of Brandon, Fla.; Robert Boline and Melissa Foust, both of Maroa; cousins, Dalton Lee Point; Shelby and Brandi Blankenship; Devin and Kameron
Boline; Shawn Davis; Tonya Davis; cousin, Stephanie Shull; great aunts and uncles, John and Joyce Bell; Dale and Ruthie Bell; Bill and Ellen Bell; Melody Gerasymckyk; Peggy Dow; Candy Donahue; best friends, Ashley, Angel and Kourtney; many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by one great-aunt, Dawn Bell.

Williams

DECATUR -- Martha Ann Williams, 89, of Decatur died 8:26 a.m. Friday (Feb. 7, 2003) in Fair Havens Christian Home.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Fairlawn Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Fair Havens Christian Home or Frieden's Chapel, 1060 Chambers Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63137.

Martha Ann was born June 29, 1913, in Decatur, the daughter of Fred W. and Marie Novak Jesek. She moved to St. Louis as a young adult and resided there for more than 60 years. She was a longtime member of Frieden s Chapel, where she sang in the choir. She was a member of Webster Groves Chapter 64 Order of the Eastern Star for more than 60 years. In her later years, she moved back to Decatur to be near her family. She married L. Austyn Williams on June 14, 1939. He preceded her in death Aug. 2, 1982.

Surviving are her nieces, Carolyn Jackson and Dr. Sheila Jesek-Hale; nephew, Dr. Warren Jesek; sister-in-law, Merilyn Jesek; several cousins; dear friend, Venita Mueller of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Albert Jesek and sister, Helen Zientara.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Fair Havens Christian Home, who took such loving care of Martha Ann for the past several years.

Zeni

WARRENSBURG -- Nona Zeni, 60, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Warrensburg, died Thursday (Feb. 6, 2003) in Scottsdale, after an eight-month battle with cancer.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Chaparral Church, Scottsdale, Ariz. 6451 E. Shea Blvd. Hansen Funeral Home, Scottsdale is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of the Valley, 5111 N. Nona was born April 27, 1942, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Flavus and Lorene Harrell. She graduated in 1960 from Warrensburg-Latham High School, where she was a cheerleader and four-year band member. She was a member of the Future Homemakers Association and Girls Athletic Association. A gifted decorator, Nona brought a style of casual elegance to many homes, always creating an atmosphere of comfort and beauty for her family, friends and guests. A graceful dancer and superb alto, Nona sang regularly at hospitals, schools and civic events with the Sweet Adelines, a harmonic choral group. She served as the 1989-90 president of the Little Rock chapter. An accomplished pianist, she enjoyed playing pop standards from the 30s, 40s and 50s.Nona spent the last 12 years in the Phoenix area. She was the co-founder (with Phil) and partner of Transcontinental Publishing. She managed the accounting and financial functions, handling crises with faith, charm and tenacious optimism. She was a member of Chaparral Christian Church. She married Phillip T. Zeni of Decatur on Feb. 13, 1966, forming a bond that lasted nearly 37 years. Together they lived in cities in Illinois, Arkansas and Arizona.

Surviving are her husband; children, Dr. Phillip, Jr. (Dr. Victoria) of Collierville, Tenn.; Tami Diane of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Juanita Jones of Mount Zion; brothers, Gaylen "Whitey" (Lois) Harrell of Latham; Dennis (Fran) Harrell of Henderson, Ky.

Douglas

CLINTON -- Raymond M. Douglas, 87, Clinton, farmer, died Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003).

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial: Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella. Memorials: Sugar Grove Cemetery Association.

Everett

TAYLORVILLE -- Martha Everett, 77, of Taylorville died 12:27 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003) in Pana Community Hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Baptist Church, Taylorville, with the Rev. Michael D. Branch officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Sutton Memorial Home Chapel, Taylorville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.

Mrs. Everett was born in Phenix City, Ala., the daughter of Idus and Ethel Killingsworth. She was a retired supervisor for Illinois Consolidated Telephone Co. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married William H. "Tuffy" Everett on Dec. 7, 1942, in Columbus, Ga. He preceded her in death June 20, 1983.

Surviving are her sons, Roger Everett and wife Chris of Taylorville; William Kenneth "Chum" Everett and wife Myrna of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Roger Christopher Everett, Liza Everett, Douglas David Everett, Alyson Woods and Tracyn Ehrich; brothers, Carlton Killingsworth of Johnston City; Joe Ben Killingsworth of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; grandson, Willie Ryan Everett and sister, Dorothy Thompson.
