James W. Oomens
Funeral services for James W. Oomens will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Road (between Army Trail Road and North Ave.), Glendale Heights. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Oomens was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of V. F. W. Post #2377, Glendale Heights.
He was the loving father of Allen (Elizabeth), Linda Groves and Wayne Oomens; dearest grandfather of Jessica, Amy, Angela, Vanessa and James; and uncle of Kenneth Oomens.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Stephen Piekarski, 78, of Elgin, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999. Arrangements were made by Madison Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-1128.

James M. Poillucci
Funeral services for James M. Poillucci will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, Ralph Massey Funeral Director, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/ RoselleRoad), Roselle, and continue to Holy Ghost Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.
He was the beloved husband of Dolly (nee Marzullo); devoted father of James (Patty) Dyers, Sherry (Wrenn) Nelson and Rick (Debbie) Poillucci; dear brother of Nancy (the late Carmen) Rossi, Ann (Tony) Rossi, Joe (Renee) Poillucci, Christine (Frank) Marzullo and the late Mary (Carmen) Santore; fond grandfather of James, Justine and John Dyers, and Heather and Erica Poillucci; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., today and Sunday, at the funeral chapel.

John H. Reiher of Des Plaines
Services for John H. Reiher, 79, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Howard at Lee Street, Des Plaines.
Born Jan. 11, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., he died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
Mr. Reiher had been employed as an insurance salesman for the Aid Association for Lutherans. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Men's Club and the Mount Prospect Park District Senior Golf League.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Reiher (nee Gold); daughters, Jill Reiher of Lake Bluff and Jean Reiher of Carvallis, Ore.; brother, Ralph (Doris) Reiher of Northville, Mich.; and sister, Ellen (Art) Zeller of Arvada, Colo.
He was preceded in deathby his sister, Marion Goetsch.
Friends may offer condolences to the family from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Karen A. Rezny of Wheaton
Services for Karen A. Rezny, 39, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary, Wheaton. Rev. Scott Bruzek will officiate.
Born Feb. 19, 1959, in Aurora, she passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at home after many years of battling cancer. Interment will be private.
A lifelong resident of Wheaton, Karen was employed by Walgreen's as a pharmacist. She was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Her strength and spirit live on in those who love her: parents, Richard and Arlene Rezny; brother, Richard; sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Stanley and Chris (Brad) Joseph; and nieces, Rachel Stanley and Nicole and Julianna Joseph. She will be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.

Ann H. Rosenberg of Crystal Lake
Services for Ann H. Rosenberg (nee Humphreys), 76, a resident of Crystal Lake for 13 years and formerly of Sterling, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary. The Rev. Gary LaCroix, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church of Crystal Lake, will officiate.
Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Mulkeytown, Ill., she died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Interment will follow the services.
Mrs. Rosenberg was a retired accountant and had worked for Woolworth's and Weinstines Fashion Shop of Sterling. She was a member of the Eastern Star Dorothy Chapter 371 and was a past worthy matron.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Rosenberg; loving mother of Larry F. (Diane) Rosenberg of Sterling and James (Vicky) Rosenberg of Crystal Lake; cherished grandmother of eight, including Amanda and Katherine Rosenberg of Crystal Lake; dear sister of the late Neva McElroy; and fond aunt of Betteye Williams.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Windridge Memorial Park Chapel.

William G. Runge of Ingleside
Cremation and inurnment for William G. Runge, 71, will be private.
Born April 12, 1927, in Chicago, Mr. Runge passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at home.
He had made his home inIngleside for the past 21 years. A veteran of the Army serving in the Artillery Division, he was a member of the Alumni Association of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, the American Legion of Fox Lake Post #703 and DePaul University Alumni Association. He was also a volunteer of the Lake County Museum Association.
He leaves his wife, Mary Ann (nee Brendle); children, Steve (Lorraine) Runge of Chicago, Barbara Clarke of Hoffman Estates, Brenda (James) Harvey of Memphis, Tenn., Laura Cruz of Des Plaines, Dawn (Curtis) King of Yale, Mich. and Edward (Susan) Durkin of Urbana, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; brother, Robert (Debbie) Runge of Florida; niece, Lynda Runge of Florida; nephew, Frank (Kelly) Lato of Chicago; and great-niece, Gabriel Runge of Florida.
Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice, in memory of William.

Evelyn V. Rutkowski of Des Plaines
Prayers for Evelyn V. Rutkowski (nee Rydel), 77, a resident of TheHenrick House in Des Plaines, will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, continuing to St. Mary Church, Des Plaines, for a 10 a.m. Mass.
Born April 12, 1921, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines.
Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Leonard Rutkowski; mother of James (Patti) Rust of Des Plaines and Patricia (Jerry) O'Leary of Des Plaines; sister of Edwin Rydel, and the late Casimir Rydel, Sophie Mitacek, Lillian Mitacek and Wanda Sowa; and grandmother of Erin (David) King, Jamie O'Leary, and Brian, Julie and Lauren Rust.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mildred M. Schultz of Round Lake Park
A Mass of the Resurrection for Mildred M. Schultz (nee Haupert), 70, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake.
Born April 24, 1928, in Chicago, she passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her home. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, following Mass.
Mrs. Schultz had made her home in Round Lake Park for the past 41 years.
She was a member of St. JosephCatholic Church of Round Lake.
She leaves her daughter, Judy (Edwin) Johnson of Gurnee; son, William M. Schultz of Waukegan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Megan and Amanda; sisters, Eleanor (Irving) Reed of Tennessee, Marcella Mueller of Barrington and Janice (Wayne) Gray of Streamwood; and brother, Theodore (Debra) Haupert of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Schultz on Sept. 20, 1996; and sister, Katherine in July 1996.
Contributions in her memory may be given to the charity of donor's choice.

Charles L. Schultz III, 73, of St. Croix Falls, Wis., died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. Arrangements were madeby Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Schaumburg, (847) 882-5580.

Percy Howard Shue of Glen Ellyn
Memorial services for Percy Howard Shue, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at First Congregational Church, Rogers Chapel, 535 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn. The Rev. Kevin Brown will officiate.
Born Dec. 15, 1918, in Staunton, Va., he died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Meadowbrook Manor Health Carein Naperville. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery, Staunton.
A resident of Glen Ellyn since 1959 and formerly of Eureka, Kan., Mr. Shue was the director of social services program development for Kiwanis International of Chicago from 1959 to 1983. Prior to that time, he had been president of Utopia College in Eureka and formerly had taught English literature, including Shakespeare and Victorian poetry, at Babson College in Florida. He studied at Berea College in Berea, Ky., did graduate work at Tulane College in New Orleans, La., and earned his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Among his other interests, Mr. Shue was an avid gardener with an award-winning yard that `exploded' with exotic flowers. A veteran, he was a lieutenant in the 3rd Army with General Patton and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
Following his retirement, he devoted his energies indoors during a periodof ill health, during which time he built and stocked a library in the Phillipines.
Mr. Shue was a member of the Glen Ellyn Kiwanis for many years and a member of the First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn.
Surviving is his daughter, Jackie (Amlin Gray) Shue of Glen Ellyn.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry H. Shue, an actor and playwright; his wife, Marguerite Dolores Dye Shue; and seven brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions tothe Larry H. Shue Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, would be appreciated.

Peter E. Sparacio
Services for Peter E. Sparacio, 72, will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Monday, at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Zachary Catholic Church in Des Plaines.
Mr. Sparacio died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at his home in Las Vegas, Nev.
Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy F. Sparacio (nee Schleicher); loving father of Peter (Diane) Sparacio, Gail Woollard and Diane (Edward) Thomas; loving grandpa `Papa' of Natalie, Peter, Greg, Luke, Brittany, Bryce and Jake; dear brother of Ann (Frank) Knack and Sam Sparacio; brother-in-law ofGeri (Jim) Noverini; and fond uncle of many.
