Mr. Hill was born June 19, 1956, in Decatur, the son of the late Robert and Lulabelle Davis Hill. He was employed with Grand Strand Roofing and was a member of Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Hill; sons, Phillip Thevenot of Conway; B.J. Hill of Valdosta, Ga.; daughters, Sherri Logue and husband William of Conway; Angie Hill of Valdosta; sisters, Robin Beckham and husband Michael of Decatur; Diane Newton and husband William of Lovington; grandchildren, Whitney, Stacey, Jerry, Timmy and a granddaughter in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie, and brother, Timmy.

DECATUR -- Daniel T. Quinn, 91, of Decatur died Monday (April 21, 2003) in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Donald Wolford celebrant. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Daniel was born Oct. 11, 1911, in Decatur, the son of William E. and Anna E. Handley Quinn. He worked as a wreckman for the B&O Railroad until he retired in 1975. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and American Legion and was a World War II
Army veteran. Daniel was one of Decatur's finest steeplejacks. He was also an excellent mechanic who could fix anything.
Surviving are his niece, Dorothy Kupish of Decatur; great-nephews, Joseph (Susan) Kupish of Lake Oswego, Ore.; Chris Kupish of Mount Zion; James Kupish and John Kupish, both of Decatur; David (Debbie) Kupish of Olathe, Kan.; great-nieces, Marie (James) Luedke of Sullivan; Rita (Chris) Standerfer of Gilbert, Ariz.; Dorothy (Larry) Stark of Greensburg, Ind.; Lucy DelSarto of Olathe; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Dawn, Mike, Josh, Nathaniel, Preston, Spencer, Matthew, Quinn, Kelsey and Shea; great-great-great-nephew, Alex.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; three sisters; nephew, William Kupish Sr.; great-nephew, William Kupish Jr.; and great-great-nephew, William Luedke.
Vaughan
DECATUR -- Elizabeth Harris Vaughan, 85, of Shelbyville, formerly of Decatur, died 7:02 p.m. Saturday (April 19, 2003) in Shelbyville Manor.
Arrangements are incomplete at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Va. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Vaughan was born April 7, 1918, in Newsoms, Va. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Chesapeake. She married George I. Vaughan on Sept. 4, 1937.
Surviving are her children, George E. (Helma) Vaughan of Garland, Texas; Paul Vaughan of Chesapeake; Virginia and Mary Weber of Dalton City; eight grandchildren, including: Helen (Tim) Brandenburg of Bethany; Dawn Weber of Peoria; Joanne (Tim) Doss of Glasford; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

CLINTON -- Stephen R. Baum, 46, of Clinton died 9:57 a.m. Saturday (April 19, 2003) in Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church, Clinton, with the Rev. David Huff officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in McCliman's Cemetery, Hallsville. Mr. Baum was born Feb. 4, 1957, in Bloomington, the son of Richard and Marjorie Moser Baum. He was an active partner in Baum Chevrolet Buick Co., Clinton. He started working at the family auto dealership at age 10, becoming a partner with his father, brother and sister. He was affiliated with First Christian Church, Clinton. He served as a deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher at church. He volunteered his time at DeWitt County 4-H. Mr. Baum enjoyed horseback riding, working on his farm, woodworking and volunteering for Clinton Chapter FFA. He was greatly loved. He married Rhonda D. DeMent on July 16, 1977, in Clinton.
Surviving are his wife; parents of Bloomington; children, Rachel and Janell Baum, both of Clinton; stepgrandmother, Audrey Baum of Venice, Fla.; brother, Scott (Nancy) Baum of Clinton; sister, Stephanie (Mike) Company of Bloomington; nephews, Jeffrey Company of Bluffton, Ohio; Joseph (Amy) Company of Goshen, Ind.

MONTICELLO -- Hazel Marie Dobson, 92, of Monticello passed away Easter Sunday (April 20, 2003) in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dobson was born Oct. 23, 1910, in Lintner, to the late James and Bessie Carrie Benson. She graduated from Cerro Gordo High School in 1930, making her a member of the first graduating class of the new high school. She was a member of the Piatt County Home Extension and was a 4-H leader. She was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. She married William T. Dobson on Aug. 23, 1934, in Sangamon County. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1972.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Jane Wyatt of Bement; granddaughters, Lori Koncel of Downers Grove; Becky (Charlie) Foran of Bement; grandson, Brian Miller of Cerro Gordo; sons, James A. (Candy) Dobson and Thomas E. Dobson, all of Cerro Gordo; grandson, T.J. (Amy) Dobson of Cerro Gordo; granddaughter, Julia Dobson of Cerro Gordo; eight great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, eight brothers and one sister.
She was the best Mom and Grandma in the world, who was loved abundantly by her family.

Reva was born July 14, 1915, in Stonington, the daughter of Leslie and Ida Shelton Tirey. She was a housewife. She married Gayl F. Reulecke on May 28, 1958. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son, Dean Reulecke of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Sandy Taylor of Assumption; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Scales was born July 8, 1950, in Decatur, the son of Paul A. and Marie R. Neese Scales. He was employed at Intermet Co. He was a member of IBEW Local 146, Decatur. Mr. Scales was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietname War. He married Diane Burkhart Marts on April 4, 2003, in Decatur.
Surviving are his mother of Blue Mound; wife; sons, Michael Scales of St. Louis, Mo.; Jason Scales and fiancee Shelley Lynch of Mattoon; daughters, Michelle Taylor of Rantoul; Kelli Jo Scales of Decatur; stepsons, Brian (Cathy) Marts of Taylorville; Brad Marts of Taylorville; stepdaughter, Trisha Marts of Taylorville; brothers, Nick (Rita) Scales of Decatur; Rick (Diane) Scales of Blue Mound; David (Donna) Scales of Mount Zion; Steve (Kathy) Scales of Springfield; 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Linda; and granddaughter, Bryson.
