ASHMORE -- Billy Eugene McCord, 77, Ashmore, retired from Charleston Stone Co., died Friday (April 25, 2003).

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Adams Funeral Chapel, Charleston. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial: Edgar Cemetery, Paris, with military rites. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Enon Baptist Church Children's Ministry.

McKittrick

SHELBYVILLE -- Jerrold D. McKittrick, 73, of Shelbyville died 6:40 p.m. Thursday (April 24, 2003) in his home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with the Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials: First Church of the Nazarene, Shelbyville.

Mr. McKittrick was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Shelbyville, the son of Paul and Thelma Miller McKittrick. He was an Korean War Army veteran and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He retired from farming in 1988. He married Katherine L. Hall on Dec. 25, 1951, in Mattoon.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Larry D. McKittrick and wife Leona and Kevin McKittrick, all of Shelbyville; daughter, Pamela Miller and husband David of Shelbyville; sister, Marlene Miller and husband Carl of Cape Coral, Fla.; grandchildren, Jared and Lana McKittrick, both of Shelbyville; Laura Yost and husband Jason of Bloomington; Darin Miller and wife Jennifer of Herrick; Amy Miller of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren, Collin, Colton and Cyra Miller; Zane McKittrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Reichman

OLNEY -- Roy W. "Windy" Reichman, 88, Olney, died Thursday (April 24, 2003).

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Olney. Visitation: one hour before services. Burial: Haven Hill Memorial Garden, Olney. Memorials: Olney Public Library.

MOWEAQUA -- Mayrose White, 85, Benton, Ky., formerly of Moweaqua, died Wednesday (April 23, 2003).

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home. Visitation: one hour before services. Burial: Cerro Gordo Cemetery.

DECATUR -- Agnes Marie Barber, 87, Decatur, homemaker, died Wednesday (April 23, 2003).

Elbert

DECATUR -- Kenneth M. Elbert, 67, of Decatur departed this life Thursday (April 24, 2003).

Services will be noon Tuesday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery.

Ken was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Shelbyville, the son of Gail and Madonna Elbert. Ken graduated from Decatur High School and attended Millikin University. Ken, an industrial engineer, spent his 35-year career at Wagner Castings Co. as supervisor of standards, retiring in 1977. Ken was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers for many years, as well as the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Opel GT Club. Ken was a longtime member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Ken was an avid reader and gifted teacher who loved to share his knowledge with others. His tremendous patience, skill in teaching and commitment to help others learn and grow will forever be cherished by his daughters, grandchildren and employees. Ken's favorite activities were working in his yard, helping his wife with their craft business and traveling to visit his daughters and grandchildren. Ken married Daisy Biggers on May 19, 1957, in Decatur.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years; daughters, Sheri Harrell and husband Ray of Friendswood, Texas; Kristi Silvestre and husband Steve of Gilbertsville, Pa.; mother, Madonna Elbert of Assumption; sister, Carolyn Camp of Roseville, Minn.; grandchildren, As
hley and Blake Harrell; Ethan and Brett Silvestre.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Gail Elbert; brother, Keith Elbert.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Ken's best friend, Terry Jayroe and his wife, Darlene.

He was a dedicated, loving husband, father and doting grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship and loyalty for all to remember.

HARRISTOWN -- Margaret Larson, 81, Saint Louis, Mo., formerly of Harristown, died Saturday (April 26, 2003). Arrangements incomplete: Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home.

DECATUR -- Mary F. Logan, 75, Largo, Fla., formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday (April 22, 2003).

Morrison

DECATUR -- Wilbur F. "Bud" Morrison, 78, of Decatur died 7:23 a.m. Wednesday (April 23, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, with 7 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, with military rites by the Macon County Honor
Guard. Memorials: Macon County Conservation District for the Rock Springs Center Pond Improvement Project or St. James Catholic Church.

Wilbur was born July 24, 1924, in Decatur, the son of Gilbert Charles and Zola Ellen Nicoson Morrison. He worked on the Wabash Railroad for 10 years, then worked for A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. for 39 years before retiring. He joined the Navy in 1943 and served on the Battleship USS California during World War II. He was an all-state fullback for Decatur High School, a member of Staley's Foreman's Club and loved to fish and play golf. He married Marian McClintick on April 26, 1947, in St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years; children, Daniel Morrison and wife Nancy of Elkhart, Ind.; Kathleen Smethers and husband David of Eagle, Idaho; Patrick Morrison and wife Rachel of Clarendon Hills; Michael Morrison and fiancee Erin Hall of Bloomington;
grandchildren, Douglas Morrison; Jennifer Morrison; Lee and Blake Morrison, all of Elkhart; Jennifer and Beth Smethers of Eagle; Madeline and Joseph Morrison of Clarendon Hills; brother, Carl E. Morrison and wife Helen of Decatur; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margie J. Dills.

Smith

DECATUR -- Eugene Dale Smith, 76, of Decatur died 10:27 a.m. Friday (April 25, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: American Heart and Lung Association.

Mr. Smith was born March 31, 1927, in Decatur, the son of John Thomas and Maggie Viola Halbrook Smith. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He worked for Purity Baking Co., retiring as assistant plant superintendent. Mr. Smith enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, hunting, traveling and was an avid Illini fan. He married Margaret Koch on Sept. 1, 1946, in Decatur.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years; sons, Bruce Smith and wife Sheila of Decatur; Steven Smith of Granite City; daughter, Karen Wildman of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Ben William Smith; Stacey Marie Smith; Trisha Ann Smith; Matthew Russell Wildman; Lori B
eth Smith; Jason Friend; Michelle Hearn; sister, Catherine Paslay of Mount Zion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil; Harold; Chester; Kenneth; sisters, Lucille; Ruby.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to our friend and physician, Dr. Mark Scott, for his excellent care, compassion and support.

Abshire

TAYLORVILLE -- Cordelia Ray "Dee" Abshire, 69, Taylorville, registered nurse, died Saturday (April 26, 2003).

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Skelton Cemetery, Tennyson, Ind. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville.

Preceded by: parents and one brother.

SHELBYVILLE -- Wanda D. Adams, 75, Shelbyville, formerly of Fulton, Mo., former Southern Bell Telephone switchboard operator, died Friday (April 25, 2003).

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial: Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton. Local arrangements by: Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
