Anna Grzesiakowski of St. Charles
Funeral Mass for Anna Grzesiakowski, 83, will be celebrated at 10a.m. Thursday, at St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar, St. Charles, with Father Joseph P. Nicolosi officiating.
Born April 26, 1915, in Norway, Mich., the daughter of Alphonse and Mary (nee Vernimen) VanHese, she died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Pineview Care Center. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mrs. Grzesiakowski was a member of St. Patrick Church and had retired after 27 years with Moline Malleable Iron Company in St. Charles.
She is survived by a son, Andrew (Denise) Grzesiakowski of Batavia; daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Foulkes of St. Charles; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Reuss, Matthew, Julie and Mark Foulkes and Joseph Grzesiakowksi; sisters, Mary Dizillo of Chicago, Margaret Kunzon of Merritt Island, Fla. and Emma Tomas of Westland, Mich.; brothers, Arthur Van Hese of Lake Orion, Mich. and Joseph VanHese of Lewiston, Mich.
Anna was preceded in death by her second husband of 24 years, Joseph S. Grzesiakowski in October of 1998; first husband, Frank Pedrotti; daughter, Marie Pedrotti; and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles.
Contributions in Mrs. Grzesiakowski's name may be made to St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles, IL 60174.

Lloyd N. Haufschild of Hawthorn Woods
Prayers for Lloyd N. Haufschild, 72, will be held at 9:30a.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church, 11 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
Born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Sept. 28, 1926, he died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, in Barrington. Private interment will be in St. Mary Fremont Center.
Mr. Haufschildwas a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program and the Ministry of Care at St. Francis de Sales Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan M. (nee Harrington); son, James (Sally Averill) Haufschild of Berwyn; daughters, Lisa Haufschild of Chicago and Susan (Lowell Phillips) Haufschild of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Robert Haufschild of Milwaukee, Wis.; and grandsons, Eric and Garret.
He was preceded in death by his brother, the late Harry (Rosemary) Haufschild of Brookfield, Wis.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Carl G. Hayes formerly of Lombard
Services for Carl G. Hayes, 89, most recently of Winfield, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Lombard.
The Rev. Herbert Essig will officiate.
Mr. Hayes died on his 89th birthday, Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.
Mr. Hayes was formerly a resident of Lombard for 38 years. He was a member of the Chicago Truck Drivers Union Local 705.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Hayes (nee Romanauskas); sons, Ralph (Patricia) Hayes of Herron, Ill., andRonald (Kathleen) Hayes of North Carolina; daughter, JoAnne Langeler of Winfield; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Garnet Walker of Oak Lawn and Betty Minet of Oak Lawn.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Hayes.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

William J. Holm of Des Plaines
Visitation for William J. Holm, 71, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge.
Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Chicago, he died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. Private interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Holm, an Army veteran of the Korean War, was employed by Commonwealth Edison as a data processing clerk. He was a member of American Legion Post #118.
He was the husband of Margaret (nee Marushko), they were married 48 years; father of James Holm of Des Plaines and David Holm of Elk Grove Village; and brother of the late Ruth Holm.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jimmy R. Bullard II of Elgin
Services for Jimmy R. Bullard II, 18, will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, at Bethesda Church of God in Christ. The Rev. Mattie Johnson will officiate.
Born Oct. 3, 1980, in Chicago, the son of Jimmy Bullard Sr. and Alma Johnson, he died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999.
Burial will be in River Hills Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Alma Johnson of Elgin; brothers, Shondel (Geneva) Johnson of South Elgin and Joshua Bullard of Tennessee; sisters, Christina Masakilija, Consuela Bullard, Danielle Anderson, Mandy Bullard and Artavia Bullard, all of Elgin; maternal grandmother, Mary Bell of Elgin; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Nellie Bullard Sr. of Opelik, Ala.; great-grandmother, Alma Knight of Chicago; nephews, Brandon of Elgin and Devante of South Elgin; nieces, Alida, Alexis, Rodrea, Brianna and Keyerra, all of Elgin, and Sharee of South Elgin; 11 uncles; six aunts; a host of cousins; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Bullard Sr., on Aug. 26, 1996; brother, Donald R. Stone, on June 12, 1991; and grandfather, Willie Johnson Sr.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the church.

Cynthia L. Kaminski of Round Lake
A funeral blessing for Cynthia L. Kaminski, 37, will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 North Rosedale Court (Rosedale Court and Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake. Rev. Robert Fitzpatrick will officiate.
Born Oct. 29, 1961, in Evanston, the daughter of Nedand Donna (nee Flury) Cate, she died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
Formerly of Evanston, she moved to Fox Lake with her parents, and later to the Round Lake area where she met her husband. She was a former employee of Triad Circuit of Round Lake, where she worked as a screen printer for eight years.
Survived by her husband, Kevin J. Kaminski of Round Lake; son, Christopher Kaminski at home; daughter, Jennifer Kaminski at home;stepson, Nicholas Kaminski of Round Lake; stepdaughter, Leana Marie Reynolds of Manasas, Va.; stepgranddaughter, Monique Mason of Manasas; parents, Ned and Donna Cate of Fox Lake; maternal grandmother, Margaret Cate of East Moline; mother-in-law, Lorraine Forcien of Round Lake Beach; brothers, Ned (Marilyn) Cate of Twin Lakes, Wis. and John Cate of Fox Lake; sister, Cheryl (Kevin) Fisher of Elk Grove Village; nieces, Tara and Casey Kaminski; and nephews, Donald and Jeremy Cate and Eric Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Benjamin Kaminski.
Friends may meet the family from 6:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral blessing, Thursday, at the funeral home.

Herman E. Kempke formerly of Des Plaines
Services for Herman E. Kempke, 89, most recently of Arlington Heights, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the St. John Chapel of the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights.
Born June 25, 1909, in Norwood Park, he died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Burial will bein Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Kempke was employed at Maine West High School and a was longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Des Plaines.
He was the beloved husband for 46 years of Leona A. E. Kempke (nee Rateike); dear brother of William (the late Georgiana) Kempke, Edward (Mildred) Kempke and Herbert (the late Josephine) Kempke; and loving uncle of Ronald, Robert, Diane, Wayne and Judy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the Lutheran Home.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home.

Sophie Mazurek of Mundelein
A memorial Mass for Sophie Mazurek, 83, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Santa Maria del Popolo Church (big church), 116 N. Lake St. (Route 45), Mundelein.
Born Dec. 24, 1915, in Chicago, she died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at the home of her son, Ronald, in Atlanta, Ga.
Mrs. Mazurek had moved to Mundelein in 1955. She worked for Callahan & Co. and retired in 1986, after 22 years of service. Since 1986, she had been an active volunteer at the Mundelein Senior Center, where she participated in many activities, including assisting at the `Big and Little' childcare facility.
She was a member of the Golden Hours Club and was very active at her church, Santa Maria del Popolo, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Carol) Mazurek of Atlanta and Martin (Barbara) Mazurek of Readington, N. J.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Mazurek, who passed away Oct. 29, 1998.
At her request, Mrs. Mazurek's body has been donated to Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. It was her lifelong wish that her remains be used for the advancement of medical science leading to the betterment of future healthcare through the development of new procedures.

Viola E. Melin, 74, of Winfield, formerly of West Chicago, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999. Arrangements were made by Williams Woodward Funeral Home, West Chicago, (630) 231-1300.

Florence V. Mullenix of Round Lake Heights
Memorial services for Florence V. Mullenix (nee Muszynski), 78, formerly of Cicero, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake, with the Rev. Lisle J. Kauffman officiating.
Born March 15, 1920, in Chicago, she passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at her residence. Interment will be privately held.
She leaves her daughters, Faye (Ed) Broz of California, Marcia Howie of Kenosha, Wis., Vicky (Douglas) Westermann of Ingleside and Darlene (Stanley) Allred of Smithville, Miss.; son, William (Lorie) Mullenix of Ingleside; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded indeath by her husband, William A. Mullenix, on Jan. 19, 1995.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes. Foundation in her memory.

Craig Kenneth Nelson formerly of Elgin
Funeral services for Craig Kenneth Nelson, 4 years, of Draper, Utah, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Rev. Joseph F. Kulak will officiate.
Born April 20, 1994, in Elgin, the son of Kevin and Tina (nee Harris) Nelson, he returned to Heaven on Sunday, Jan. 18, 1999, after a year long battle with neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, Ill.
Craig enjoyed Winnie-the-Pooh, Rugrats, Little Bear, the Chicago Bulls and his special blanket that went everywhere with him. He had an infectious laugh and loved playing and telling stories. Craig tried hard not to let his illness slow him down. His mission in life was to be a little boy, and that he was.
During the course of his illness, Craig received mail from people all over the world who had heard of his situation and took the time to write. We thank all of you. A special friend, Karen Nelson of Las Vegas, Nev., never let a day go by without sending a card or toy. A very special `thank you' to you.
He is survived by his parents and older brother, Christopher; paternal grandparents, `Gama and Papa' Richard and Barbara Nelson; maternal grandparents, `Gama and Papa' James and Mary Cooper; aunts and uncles, `Yaya' Tanya Harris, Keith and Ellen Nelson, Ben and Kathy Schlitz and Tara Cooper; greataunts and uncles, Tom and Paula Van Hyning, Charles and Linda Van Hyning and Bonnie Wilkinson; special cousins, Craig, Pam, Paul Showalter-Blades, Travis and Bradley Nelson, Cheryl and Peter Shifres, Charles Van Hyning, and Jim and Mariemma Nelson; and his `Nanny', Charlotte Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Shirley Nelson; paternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Wolfe, for whom he was named after; and great-uncle, Tom Van Hyning.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
