Helen Elizabeth McRoy Beaumont
MARION -- Helen Elizabeth McRoy Beaumont, 68, died 9:10 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at St. Frances Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Helen was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Marion, to Harry and Cliva (Watson) McRoy. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Woodmansee of Grover Beach, Calif.; three sons, Glenn Beaumont, Donnie Beaumont, James Beaumont, and Michael Beaumont, all of Marion; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter and Jeanetta McRoy,Lyndell and Louise McRoy, Jerry and Judy McRoy, and Joe and Christine McRoy, all of Marion; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Earnest Mofield of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, grandson, Kenneth Duncan, and sister, Roberta McRoy. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, with Rev. Murle Jack officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. For those who prefer memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Thelma L. Wetzel
RED BUD -- Thelma L. Wetzel, 85, died at 5:50 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, in Red Bud Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Rory Seeger and Russell Koen officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the church. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School in Evansville.

William Ehlers
CARBONDALE -- William Ehlers, 91, died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Jackson County Rehab and Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale.

Erma Webb
MOUNT VERNON -- Erma M. Webb, 74, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Kirk Cemetery, with the Rev. Edward Wheeler officiating. There is no visitation. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Holts Addition Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Clyde Hill
VIENNA -- Clyde Hill, 95, died at 1:58 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Baily Funeral Home in Vienna, with the Rev. Floyd Stout officiating. Burial will be in Gilead Cemetery near Simpson. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

RED BUD -- Gregory J. Kalmer, 78, died at 9:47 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, in Red Bud Regional Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, with the Revs. Rory Seeger and Russell Koen officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 9 a.m. Friday in Welge-Pecachek Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.

EQUALITY -- Lillie Moore, 88, of East Alton, formerly of Equality, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Rosewood Care Center in Alton. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgeway, with the Rev. James R. Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Leamington Cemetery in Junction. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

MURPHYSBORO -- Dorothy L. Cripps, 77, of Algonquin, formerly of Murphysboro and Carbondale, died Monday, June 23, 2003, in Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, with James Gilstrap officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel. Crain Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mildred Cheniae
CARBONDALE -- Mildred E. Cheniae, 84, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Carbondale, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Sun Grove Village Care Center in Peoria, Ariz. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oakland Cemetery, with the Rev. Wes Henson officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Crain Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Walter Johnson
BENTON -- Walter C. Johnson, 84, died at 9:21 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2003, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Seibert officiating. Burial will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Memorials may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

CARRIER MILLS -- Lillian Reid, 88, of Fairfield, formerly of Carrier Mills and St. Louis, died Monday, June 23, 2003. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery Association.

MOUNT VERNON -- Sidney Bowdler, 64, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hughey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chuck Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in rural Jefferson County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Hughey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SIMPSON -- Leslie Parsons, 91, of R. R. 1 Simpson in Pope County, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, with the Rev. John Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Boulden Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Harry Tuffley
MOUNDS -- Harry George Tuffley, 79, of Bullhead, Ariz., formerly of Mounds, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, after a long difficult battle with cancer. Private burial will be in Fort Rosecrans Memorial Cemetery in Point Loma, Calif. Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of the announcement.
