Ray E. Wojtynek of Roselle
Chapel services for Ray E. Wojtynek, 71, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/ Roselle Road), Roselle. Burial will be private.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra Nelson Blomberg; devoted stepfather of Debra (Michael) Dillon, Robert (Dodie) and Julie Blomberg; dear brother of Edward (Mary) Woods; fond grandfather of Rebecca and David Dillon, and Colton and Cassidy Blomberg; and loving cousin and uncle of many.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral chapel.

Maxine Benscoter of Wheaton A prayer service for Maxine Benscoter, 87, formerly of Pekin, Ill., will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 0S033 Church St., Winfield. Deacon Bob Taylor will officiate.
Born Sept. 23, 1911, in Neceda, Wis., she died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton.
Private graveside services will be held Thursday, at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Mrs. Benscoter was a homemaker and had worked in both family owned restaurants in Pekin, where she did everything. Upon closure, she went on to work for Farmers Auto Insurance in Pekin.
Survivors include her brother, Rex (Emilie) Sherman of Vero Beach, Fla.; sister, Doris R. Van Der Heide of Wheaton; two nieces; two nephews; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and one great-greatnephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virtus M. Benscoter in 1956, whom she married in 1947.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of prayer service Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Alois T. `Lou' Braje, 80, of Villa Park, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999. Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, Villa Park, (630) 832-4161.

Edith Bryant Graveside services for Edith Bryant, 73, of Tulsa, Okla., will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at River Valley Memorial Gardens.
Born in Wheatcroft, Ky., to Dan and Henrietta (nee Skinner) Smith, she died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at St. John's Hospital in Oklahoma.
Surviving are her son, Charles Bryant of Oklahoma; daughter, Glennia Lindell of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Arrangements were made by Madison Funeral Home, Elgin.

John `Paul' Burrows of Lake Zurich
Prayers for John `Paul' Burrows, 77, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, 11 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
A World War II Navy veteran, he was the beloved husband of Marion F. (nee McFarland); loving father of Patti (George M.) Criel and Jerry (Janet) Burrows; dearest grandfather of Kelli Criel, Patti Criel, Debbie (Brian) Halloran and James Burrows; and dear brother of Evelyn Constine and Helen (Jerry) Doyle.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Dennis E. B. Carter of Carol Stream
Services for Dennis E. B. Carter, 56, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at First Assembly Church, 900 E. Geneva Rd., Wheaton. He will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Born Oct. 4, 1942, in Fairview Heights, Ill., he died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mr. Carter served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He loved fishing, woodworking and computers. He enjoyed birdwatching and fixing things.
Survivors include his wife, Leone Ebhert, whom he married in 1967; sons, Shawn P. (Amy) Carter and Shane Carter; grandson, Luke E. Carter; mother, Leona; brother, William (Nancy) Carter; and sister, Kathleen (Raymond) Hall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Brust Funeral Home, 415 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream.

A memorial gathering in loving memory of A. Paul Derstine, will be held at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at First Baptist Church of Palatine, 1023 E. Palatine Rd. (1/2 mile west of Route 53), Palatine.

Donald W. Eckert of Palatine
Memorial services for Donald W. Eckert, 64, will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, at The Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.
Born April 30, 1934, in Oak Park, he died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mr. Eckert had worked as a supervisor at Sea World in Orlando, Fla., for more than 10 years.
He was the father of Donna L. Hofmann, Frank W. (Rosalinda) Eckert, John P. (Carolyn) Eckert, Nancy A. (Joseph) Nischbach and Susan J. (fiance, David Richards) Eckert; grandfather of Jennifer and Katie Hofmann, Tara, Nicole and Alison Nischbach, and Jacob and Keith Eckert; brother of Delores Applequist, Kenneth (Linda) Eckert, Marilyn Curran, Rosalyn (Fred) Stock and Phyllis (Klaus) Phaadt; and sonof the late Clarence and Betty Eckert. He is also survived by Nancy Eckert, the caring and wonderful mother of hischildren.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Jeffrey N. Engberg of Schaumburg

Mr. Engberg was born Dec. 17. 1973.

Steven G. Fawell of West Chicago and Glen Ellyn

Born June 13, 1953, in St. Charles, he died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at his home in Glen Ellyn. Interment will be in Glen Oak Cemetery, West Chicago.
Mr. Fawell had been a longtime resident of West Chicago and Glen Ellyn.
He was the loving father of James, Katherine and Jonathan Fawell; devoted son of Senator Beverly Fawell and the Honorable Bruce R. Fawell, retired Judge of DuPage County; and fond brother of Jeffrey B. (Blanche) Fawell, Judith A. (Steve) Keithley, and Scott R. (Joan) Fawell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton.

Muriel `Mickey' Friedkin of Lincolnshire
Services for Muriel `Mickey' Friedkin (nee Arkin), 78, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie. Interment will be in Shalom Memorial Park.
Mrs. Friedkin was a graduate of National Teachers College, past president of Niles Township Jewish Congregation Sisterhood, past president of Brandeis University Women's Council and corporate secretary for Reserve Steel Corporation.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond; devoted mother of Darlene (Michael) Klein of Buffalo Grove, Jo-Ann (John) McDonald and Barbara Nancy Friedkin; loving grandmother of Ira and Carol Klein and Sarah and Mark McDonald; and dear sister of June (late Sheldon) Weinstein and Norman (Paula) Arkin.

Milan Golubovic of Libertyville
Funeral services for Milan Golubovic, 54, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at The Most Holy Mother of God Church, Third Lake.
Born Dec. 22, 1945, in Yugoslavia, he passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the home of his daughter in Chicago, following a lengthy illness. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
He came to live in the United State in 1976, and was a member of The Most Holy Mother of God Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Gordana Golubovic of Chicago; and brother, Antonije Golubovic of Yugoslavia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miljojko and Desanka Golubovic.
Friends of the family may call one hour prior to services today, at the church.

Sandra G. `Sandy' Gondek of Schaumburg
Services for Sandra G. `Sandy' Gondek (nee Allen), 45, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
Born April 30, 1953, in Norfolk, Va., she died peacefully at home Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, after a long battle with colon cancer. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Gondek had been the secretary of the volunteers at Hoffman Estates Medical Center for three years. She was also a member of the Children's Advocacy Center, the Northwest Rape Council, the Roots of Meadow and the Sunrisers.
She was the beloved wife of Tim Gondek; loving mother of Dr. Bonnie (Dr. Steve) Fines; cherished daughter of Victor and Marjorie Allen; dear daughter-in-law of Edward and Elizabeth Gondek; dearest sister of Cindy (Ray) Gabriellie, Dave (Claries) Allen and John (Vicki) Allen; fond sister-in-law of Skip (Pattie) Gondek and Cynthia (Richard) Dean; caring aunt of many nieces and nephews; and beloved friend of Sarah Schurr.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
