Alice L. Coleman of Elgin
Private funeral services for Alice L. Coleman, 60, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. David G. Bohyer officiating.
Born Jan. 8, 1939, in Elgin, the daughter of Edward and Jennie Knake Rohrssen, she died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
Mrs. Coleman had been a resident of the Elgin area for her entire life. After her first marriage to Arthur Street, she married Donald Coleman on Aug. 29, 1974. Most recently a homemaker, Mrs. Coleman was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Bill) Shepard of Elgin; grandson, Steve Frazier; brothers, Leslie Rohrssen of Elgin and Howard (June) Rohrssen of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Gladys (Elio) Fiocchi of Rensselaer, Ind.; brother-in-law, Bill Lovejoy of South Elgin; stepsons, Frank (Kay) Coleman of McHenry, Larry (Marsha) Coleman of Cedar Lake, Ind., Dan (Kim) Coleman of Mauston, Wis. and Scott (Linda) Coleman of Russellville, Ky.; eight stepgrandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Coleman, in July of 1993; sister, Phyllis Lovejoy; and stepson, MickColeman.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Verton R. Collignon of Arlington Heights
Services for Verton R. Collignon, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 N. Evergreen, Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 15, 1921, in Chicago, he passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a past commander of American Legion Merle Guild Post 208.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Iona M. Collignon of Arlington Heights; daughter, Connie L. Collignon of ElkGrove Village; granddaughters, Rachel L. (Jamie) Wyatt of Cottonwood, Ariz. and Stephanie L. (Thomas) Morony of Elk Grove Village; and great-grandchildren, Steven Irizarry and Taylor Morony of Elk Grove Village.

Sarah `Sally' Furat of Mount Prospect
Funeral services for Sarah `Sally' Furat, 75, will be held at 1p.m. today, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, Inc., 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Hwy.), Mount Prospect.
Born Sept. 30, 1923, in Oconomowoc, Wis., she died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Church Creek in Arlington Heights. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mrs. Furst was a retired high school teacher.
She was the wife ofthe late Donald Furst; mother of Richard (Pam) Furst and Cynthia (Dennis) King; and grandmother of David King and Allison, Jenny and Jonathon Furst.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.

Manuel Castro Gil of Round Lake Beach
A Mass of Christian Burial for Manuel Castro Gil, 30, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake.
Born Feb. 9, 1968, in Tunguitiro, Michoacan, Mexico, he died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in St. Louis, Mo., as a result of an automobile accident. Interment will be in Mexico.
Mr. Gil had lived in the area for the past 10 years and was employed as a truck driver for Brandy's Transportation in Ingleside. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Round Lake.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Maria Salud (nee Guzman); daughter, Cindy; parents, Jose and Juana Acension Gil of Mexico; brothers and sisters, Salvador Gil of Chicago, Abelardo and Sergio Gil of Idaho, Eduardo and Juventino Gil of Mexico, Socorro Leonof Idaho, and Meriam, Adelene and Juana Gil, all of Mexico; brothers-in-law, Jose, Jaime, Raymundo and Ballardo Guzman Corona, all of Idaho, and Adan Guzman Corona of Chicago; maternal grandparent, Procoro Castro of Mexico; paternal grandparents, Julian Gil Arteaga and Maria Luisa of Mexico; and cousins, Julian, Margarito, David, Margarito Sr. and Efain Gil, all of Idaho.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.

Virginia Gelhbach Gleichman of Arlington Heights
Services for Virginia Gelhbach Gleichman, 89, formerly of Beason, Ill., will begin with a prayer service at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Holland & Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, Ill., and continue with services at 10:30 a.m.
Born June 18, 1909, she died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in Arlington Heights.
Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.
A homemaker, Mrs. Gleichman had also attended Lincoln College and worked at the Illiopolis Ammunition Plant during World War II. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights, where she was a member of the Circle and United Methodist Women.
She was the beloved wife of Theodore Gleichman, and loving mother of Robert Gleichman. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, one nephew and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Virgil and Raymond Gelhbach.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Dianne L. Gruenwald of Round Lake
Services for Dianne L. Gruenwald, 54, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. The Rev. John Holm of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church of Grayslake will officiate.
Born Dec. 22, 1944, in Baroda, Mich., she passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman, Mich.
A resident of Round Lake for the past 12 years, Dianne was a registered nurse and was employed by North Chicago Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a member of the Illinois Nursing Association and also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Long Lake.
She leaves her daughter, Dianna Keoning of Lake County; mother, Evelyn Byrdakof Buchanan, Mich.; brothers, Michael (Barbara) Byrdak of Tecumseh, Mich., John Jr. (Ruth) Byrdak of Buchanan, David Byrdak of Chicago and Phillip Byrdak of Buchanan; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Herrmann, in 1952.
Friends of the family may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be given to the family for the benefit and care of Dianne's grandchildren.

Robert `Kent' Hall of West Chicago
Funeral services for Robert `Kent' Hall will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, Route 59 and Pine St., West Chicago.
Born Oct. 31, 1933, in Cambria, Ill., he went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.
Mr. Hall was a resident of West Chicago since 1960. He retired in 1992 after 26 years with Jewel Food Company.
Survivors include his wife of46 years, Jean Hall; sons, Michael K. (Judy) Hall of Golden, Colo., Scott (Sue) Hall of West Chicago and Joe (Tracey) Hall of St. Charles; daughter, Kelly (Jeff) Dell of Knoxville, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillian, and daughter, Jeri Lynn Hall.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Harvey `Bud' Kittredge of Fox River Grove
Memorial services for Harvey `Bud' Kittredge, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Congregational Church of Algonquin.
Born Sept. 7, 1914, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Interment will be private.
Mr. Kittredge, an Army veteran of World War II, had been employed as a design engineer and also owned Bud's DeVon Hardware in Des Plaines. A graduate of Northwestern University, he was a member of the Park Ridge Masonic Lodge and the Congregational Church of Algonquin.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bus Kittredge, whom he married Oct. 18, 1941; and sons, AlanRobert Kittredge of Palo Alto, Calif. and Gary Lee Kittredge of Fox River Grove.

John C. Kosi of Des Plaines
Services for John C. Kosi, 74, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Zachary Catholic Church, Des Plaines.
Born Oct. 28, 1924, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
Mr. Kosi had been employed for 16 years in the street maintenance department for the City of Des Plaines. A veteran, he had served in World War II.
He was the beloved husband ofIsobel Kosi (nee Vasko); loving father of Bonnie (Ray Jr.) Graffia and Linda (Denny) Tysl; dear grandfather of Becky, Sara and Raymond III Graffia, and Dennis (Robin) and Frank (Michele) Tysl; fond brother of Bill (Barbara) Kosi;and caring uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

He was the father of Pam (Dan) Szarzak; grandfather of Nick Szarzak; brother of Lorraine (the late Damon) Ford, Walter (Olga) Krzyzak and Mary (the late Frank) Misiak; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
