Susan E. Emmons of Lombard
Services for Susan E. Emmons (nee Moyer), 36, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Roosevelt and Meyers Rd., York Center, Lombard. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Rev. Nathan Dudley will officiate.
Mrs. Emmons died suddenly Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Brownstown, Ind., after services there on Thursday, Feb. 4.
Mrs. Emmons was a homemaker and former R. N. at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brownstown, Ind. She graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1981, and Indiana University in 1986, with a B. S. and R. N. Mrs. Emmons' husband is the pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, York Center in Lombard. Mrs. Emmons was active in the Mom and Tots organization at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Randy Emmons; children, Emily Stone Emmons, Kelly Suzanne Emmons, Natalie Jean Emmons, Randy Luke Emmons and Adam Ray Emmons; parents, Rev. J. V. Moyer and Eileen M. (nee Morrison) of Michigan; siblings, Janet (Jim) Ortega of Brazil, Rev. Thomas (Gwen) of Springfield, Ill., Kim (Tim) Onnen of Guttenberg, Iowa and Capt. J. V. (Nancy) USAF of Texas; 16 nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Barbara Jean Emmons of Lombard and Raymond (Linda) C. Emmons.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for her children c/o her family or Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ, Box 41, Athens, IL 62613, would be appreciated.

Manuel Castro Gil of Round Lake Beach
A Mass of Christian Burial for Manuel Castro Gil, 30, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake.
Born Feb. 9, 1968, in Tunguitiro, Michoacan, Mexico, he died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in St. Louis, Mo., as a result of an automobile accident. Interment will be in Mexico.
Mr. Gil had lived in the area for the past 10 years and was employed as a truck driver for Brandy's Transportation in Ingleside. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Round Lake.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Maria Salud (nee Guzman); daughter, Cindy; parents, Jose and Juana Acension Gil of Mexico; brothers and sisters, Salvador Gil of Chicago, Abelardo and Sergio Gil of Idaho, Eduardo and Juventino Gil of Mexico, Socorro Leonof Idaho, and Meriam, Adelene and Juana Gil, all of Mexico; brothers-in-law, Jose, Jaime, Raymundo and Ballardo Guzman Corona, all of Idaho, and Adan Guzman Corona of Chicago; maternal grandparent, Procoro Castro of Mexico; paternal grandparents, Julian Gil Arteaga and Maria Luisa of Mexico; and cousins, Julian, Margarito, David, Margarito Sr. and Efain Gil, all of Idaho.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.

Pat Grant
A service for Pat Grant, 68, of Las Vegas, Nev., will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at the chapel at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines. Rev. Lynn E. Stefanowski from the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville will officiate.
Born March 11, 1930, in Chicago, she passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
A resident of Las Vegas for the past 29 years, she was a former resident of Morton Grove. She loved to travel, visiting Hawaii and California often. Before her retirement, she was employed at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas.
Surviving are her sons, Bob (Julie) Kopp of Hawthorn Woods, Art (Nancy) Kopp of Libertyville and Steve Kopp of Round Lake Beach; and grandchildren, Katherine and Thomas Kopp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethel McVickers; and former husband and dear friend, Al Kopp.

Dianne L. Gruenwald of Round Lake
Services for Dianne L. Gruenwald, 54, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. The Rev. John Holm of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church of Grayslake will officiate.
Born Dec. 22, 1944, in Baroda, Mich., she passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman, Mich.
A resident of Round Lake for the past 12 years, Dianne was a registered nurse and was employed by North Chicago Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a member of the Illinois Nursing Association and also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Long Lake.
She leaves her daughter, Dianna Keoning of Lake County; mother, Evelyn Byrdakof Buchanan, Mich.; brothers, Michael (Barbara) Byrdak of Tecumseh, Mich., John Jr. (Ruth) Byrdak of Buchanan, David Byrdak of Chicago and Phillip Byrdak of Buchanan; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Herrmann, in 1952.
Friends of the family may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be given to the family for the benefit and care of Dianne's grandchildren.

William D. Johnson, 71, of Lombard, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999. Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 629-0094.

Theodore K. Kipping formerly of Naperville
Services for Theodore K. Kipping, 71, recently of Shabbona, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at BeidelmanKunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville.
Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
He was a resident of Naperville for more than 40 years and a six-month resident of Shabbona. Mr. Kipping was employed withthe Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for 32 years, retiring in 1989, as chief of security. He was a veteran of the Army, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving as flotilla commander and American Legion Post #76 in Wheaton, and a life member of the NRA, The Isaac Walton League and Duck's Unlimited.
Survivors include his son, Theodore (Barbara) of Naperville; daughter, Beth (Joseph) Johnson of Big Rock, Ill.; grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Kipping; and sister, Betty Conlon of St. Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxwell and Ada (nee Arp); and wife, Dorothy C. (nee Jones).

Marjorie Ann Larsen of DeKalb
Services for Marjorie Ann Larsen (nee Ackerman), 67, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Community Congregational Church, Shannon and Main St., Elburn. The Reverend Katherine Lawes will officiate.
Born Nov. 19, 1931, in Aurora, the daughter of George and Lucile G. (nee Hubbard) Ackerman, she passed away peacefully at DeKalb Healthcare Center, where she had battled cancer for many months. Interment will be in South Burlington Cemetery.
Marge grew up in Hinckley where she graduated from Hinckley High School, with a talented class of 12. Often remembering those years she recalled playing saxophone in the band that went to Riverview to playand being a cheerleader for the basketball team.
She excelled in writing and enjoyed painting even into the later years of her life. After graduation she began working for Barber Green in Aurora, but soon met Robert Larsen at the skating rink in Sandwich. They were married on Jan. 26, 1951, and made their home in Hinckley for a time.
Through the ensuing years, they lived in several Kaneland communities but mostly near Elburn.
Ironically, the lady who hadso enjoyed her school years, spent the next 20 years cooking for kids at the Elburn Grade School and Kaneland High School. Retiring in 1990, Marge devoted herself to her grandchildren and family.
Although good health was never her companion in those later years, she had a great stamina and always managed a brave face and a caregivers heart.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Swan of Hinckley, Nancy (Rich) Miller, Rich (Mary) Larsen and Rob (Debbie) Larsen all of Maple Park; grandchildren, Doug (Lisa) Wielert of Elburn, Laura Wielert of Cortland, Ryan Swan of Hinckley, Christopher and Kellie Larsen, Denny Miller, Matthew, Brittany and Ashley Larsen all of Maple Park; great-grandchildren, Emma and Trevor Wielert, and Alexis and Samantha Hammond; sister, Beth (Dewey) Wallis of Sandwich; andmany nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and sister, Joyce Royer.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn.

Robert F. Logsdon of Hoffman Estates
Funeral services for Robert F. Logsdon, 71, will be held privately.
Born Aug. 28, 1927, in Oliney, Ill., he died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at his home.
A machinist by trade, Mr. Logsdon worked for Ternkrist, Inc. of Elk Grove Village. He was a C. B. radio enthusiast, known to others by his `handle,'Metal Man.
He is survived by his wife, Sue (nee Hunt), they would have been married for 45 years on March 3, 1999; sons, Robert (Carla) Logsdon of Hanover Park and Doug (Michele) Logsdon of Streamwood; daughter, Carla (Chris) Buckley of Oswego; sister, Ellen Grabow of Delavan, Wis.; grandchildren, Tony and Michael Rubin, Brian and Bobby Logsdon, and Crissa, Tamara and Catrina; and his best friend and companion, Stormie.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Rubin.
Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice, 480 Waters Edge, Lombard, IL 60148.

Irvin E. Manke of Huntley
Services for Irvin E. Manke, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley. The Rev. Charles W. Kittel will officiate.
Born Nov. 22, 1908, in Kellner, Wis., to Frank and Louise (nee Henke) Manke, he died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery.
Mr. Manke was a farmer until his retirement in 1965, and continued to work the next eight years for Wabash Tape inHuntley. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley for 65 years.
Surviving are his wife Helen D. Manke (nee Kahl), whom he married April 27, 1934, in Huntley; sons, Vernon (Joyce) Manke of McHenry and Edward (Mary) Manke of Marengo; daughters, Marlene (Richard Sr.) Pump of Hampshire and Donna (James) Ketchmark of Huntley; grandchildren, Bryan Manke, Todd (Alyson) Manke, Jodi Manke, Jameson Ketchmark, Beth Ketchmark and Richard Pump Jr.; great-granddaughter, Teresa Grace Manke; sisters, Elsie Ainsworth of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Clara Joosten of Hebron; and brothers, Martin Manke and Harvey (Margaret) Manke, both of Woodstock.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Irvin Jr.; sister, Mabel Brandt; and brothers, Roy, George and Wilbur.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today, at the church.

Joanne Lynn Matveychik
Services for Joanne Lynn Matveychik (nee Mate), 40, of Crystal Lake, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (one block north of Lake-Cook Road), Buffalo Grove.
Ms. Matveychik died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at her home. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was a bookkeeper for an electrical supply company.
Survivors include her son, Michael A. Matveychik; parents, Gene and Ida Mate (nee Bombino); brother, Gene Jr. (Debbie); and sister, Darlene (Fred) Martucci.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Jacquelyn W. Murrie of Grayslake for 53 years
Funeral services for Jacquelyn W. Murrie, 72, will be held at 4 p.m. today, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, withthe Rev. Kathleen Bleyaert officiating.
Born Sept. 13, 1926, in Franklin, Neb., she passed away quietly at her homeon Friday, Jan. 29, 1999. Interment will be private in Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.
Jacquelyn worked in the real estate industry for 32 years and owned her own agency in Grayslake. She was a longtime member of the Lake County Board of Realtors, serving seven years on the board of directors prior to becoming president in 1974. She retiredin March of 1995.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Morris of Tennessee, Loralee (Kevin Chick) Guenther of Grayslake and Lisa (Lee) Bolton of Grayslake; grandchildren, Eric and Bill Guenther, Lucas and Lorna Bolton, and Ben, John, Chris and Brian Morris; brother, Douglas (LeeAndra) Wimble; sister, Dorothy (Dick) Kerner of West Chicago; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Stanislaw Morawski; and many more dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John E. `Bud' Murrie, retired lieutenant of the Illinois State Police, who passed away March 14, 1997.
Friends of the family may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of services today, at the funeral chapel There will be additional parking available at St. Gilberts Catholic Church.
