Sister Ann Volkman of Chicago
Mass of the Resurrection for Sister Ann Volkman, R. C., 68, a member of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Cenacle for 43 years and treasurer of Cenacle Midwest Province, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Cenacle Retreat House, 513 Fullerton Parkway, Chicago. Born in St. Louis, she died in Chicago Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Louise (nee Layton) Volkman; dear sister of Charles Volkman; and aunt of several nieces and nephews living in the St. Louis area.
Visitationwill be from 4 p.m. until the time of wake service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Cenacle Retreat House.
Memorials may be made to the Cenacle Sisters' Retirement Fund.

James A. Amundsen of Streamwood
Services for James A. Amundsen, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 485 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood.
Born March 20, 1932, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Lexington Health Care Center in Streamwood. Burial will be private.
He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Amundsen (nee Shea); loving father of Constance (Lael) Miller, Susan (Ted) Melzer and Thomas (Diane) Amundsen; dearest brother of William Amundsen; and proud grandfather of four.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Edward H. `Pat' Bryant of West Dundee
Services for Edward H. `Pat' Bryant, 73, formerly of Carpentersville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. John Lutheran Church of Algonquin. Rev. Rollin Kuznik will officiate.
Born May 9, 1925, in Chicago, the son of Edward H. and Elizabeth Coogan Bryant, he died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in Dundee Township Cemetery East, East Dundee.
A 44-year resident of the Carpentersville-Dundee areas, he was a former 20-year manager of Spencer's Bowling Alley in Carpentersville. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of St. John's Lutheran of Algonquin.
Survivors include his wife, Judi; daughter, Kathleen (Greg) Molnar of Addison; stepson, Michael (Char) Procanin of Carpentersville; stepdaughters, Mary (Mike) Merchut of Carpentersville and Lori (Vic) Murphy of Algonquin; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth (Bill) Morgan of Chicago and Jane (Jack) Scanlan of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rosemary in 1990; son, Jim in 1978; brothers, Donald and Jack; and grandson, Michael Merchut II.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., WestDundee and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday, at the church.

Douglas H. Cargill formerly of Wheeling
Services for Douglas H. Cargill, 79, of Grayslake, willbe held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling.
Born April 25, 1919, in Wheeling, he died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at home.
Burial will be in Wheeling Cemetery.
A member of Vitruvius Lodge #81 A. F. & A. M. in Wheeling, he is survived by his wife, Marion (nee Sternberg); son, John D.; daughters, Rebecca (Don) Johnson and Cheramie Carroll; sister, Jessie Miller; grandson, Matthew Johnson; and stepgrandson, David Carlisle.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Katherine Cesinger of Des Plaines
Memorial services for Katherine Cesinger, 85, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 3 p.m. today, at G. L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines.
Born June 24, 1913, she died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, in Park Ridge. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mrs. Cesinger was a nurses aide, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She was the wife of the late John M.; mother of John R. (Joan) Cesinger; sister of John (Eleanor) Mankel, Jack (Thelma) Mankel, Ann (the late Edward) Schneider and the late William (Kay) Mankel; grandmother of Michael, Richard and Steven Cesinger; and great-grandmother of Monica and Hunter Cesinger.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.

Helen F. Cizek of Libertyville
Services for Helen F. Cizek, 82, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park (Route 176), Libertyville.
Born Nov. 2, 1916, on a farm in Bloomfield, Mont., she passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery following the services.
Miss Cizek had lived in Libertyville since 1946 and was formerly a 20-year resident of Mundelein. She was employed as an administrative assistant to the special services officer at Great Lakes Naval Base from 1941 to 1978.
Among her special interests, she enjoyed traveling and taking art classes at the David Adler Cultural Center in Libertyville.
Surviving are her brother, Carl Cizek, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Cizek.
Friends of the family may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Alice J. Crumback of Prospect Heights
Services for Alice J. Crumback (nee Kozlick), 78, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago.
Born March 7, 1920, inChicago, she died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at St. Matthew Lutheran Home in Park Ridge. Interment will be in Norwood Park Home Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was the wife of 50 years of Richard Crumback of Prospect Heights; mother of Penny (Ron) Ek of Arlington Heights and the late Ricky; sister of Mina Mortensen and Lee Giordano; grandmother of Michael, Jay (Cathy) and Steven (Carrie) Ek; and great-grandmother of Taylor, Matthew, Marshall, Brendan, Kathryn, Austin and Sean.

Jeanne E. Froehlich of Waukegan
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne E Froehlich, 80, formerly of North Chicago, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan.
Born Feb. 6, 1918, in Oconto, Wis., she died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital. Interment will follow in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mrs. Froehlich had lived in the Waukegan area for most of her life. She retired in 1975 from Great Lake Naval Base. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Catholic Womens Club of Lake County.
She is survived by her son, Fred Froehlich of Waukegan; son-in-law, Robert `Skip' Smith of Wildwood; grandchildren, Kim, Christie and Kevin Froehlich and Todd (Debra) and Sean Smith; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia (John) Rudd of Gurnee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Froehlich in 1975; daughter, Jan Smith, in 1993; and brothers, Edward and Thomas O'Grady.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.

Margaret J. `Peg' Kelly of Libertyville
Private funeral services for Margaret J. `Peg' Kelly, 75, will be held Monday at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home in Libertyville.
Born March 10, 1923, in Wisconsin, she passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
Miss Kelly had been a resident of Libertyville for the past 10 years and was a former longtime resident of Chicago. Before her retirement, Peg was employed by the Polk Brothers Corporation in Chicago.
Surviving are her sister, Barbara (Raymond) Axelson of Palatine, and brother, John (Beverly) Kelly of New Era, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Kelly.

Ralph Wilbur Killian formerly of Wheaton
Memorial services for Ralph Wilbur Killian, 81, most recently of Geneva, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton. Pastor Ed Taveirne will officiate.
Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Montgomery, the son of Clarence W. and Florence (nee Yates) Killian, he passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at his home. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery.
Mr. Killian served four years in the Air Force, three of which were in New Guinea with the 9th Fighter Squadron.
In 1945, he married Gwenivere Horton.
Together in 1949, they started a business, Killian Metal Equipment Company, which soon surged into the highly sucessful business, Killian Corporation, which designs office furnishings. Upon retirement in 1986 he sold the business.
Ralph was also very active in the community of Wheaton. He was a member of Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, the founders board of Central DuPage Hospital, and he held the longest membership in the Kiwanis Club, for which he was presented the Kiwanis Legion of Honor award on January5.
Survivors include his wife, Gwenivere; daughter, Alice Hallam; son, Kenneth Killian; grandchildren, Kyle McCutcheon, Odessa Navarro and Kenneth Killian II; brothers and sisters, Irwin (Juanita) Killian, Virgina Jacobson, Lucille (Vernon) Eggleston, Glenn (Fay) Killian, Paul (Janice) Killian, Marilyn (Carl) Eggleston, and Bernadette (the Rev. Donald) Keeling; and many very special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Killian; brothers, Harold and Donald; and sister, Geraldine Killian.
