PEKIN ~ Aaron Joseph Hutchinson, infant son of Nicole Lynn Hutchinson of 206 Jane St., Apt. B was stillborn at 3:51 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Pekin Hospital.

Surviving are his mother; 1 sister, Summer Nicole Everly at home; grandparents, Lisa and Waldon Crump of Peoria; and great-grandparents, Larry “Butch” Hutchinson of Peoria, Fred Arbuckle of Germantown Hills, and Marilyn Loftus of Bellview.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2004 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Rev. David Whiteside will officiate. Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

MARK MORSCH
(1961~2004)

PEKIN ~ Mark Robert Morsch, 43, of 1905 Jeanette Lane, No. 4, Springfield, died at 2:38 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at his residence.

He was born March 27, 1961 in Pekin to Nick Robert and Phyllis Ann Allen Morsch.

Surviving are his mother of Pekin and one sister, Mona D. (Ken) Thurman of Morton.

His father preceded him in death.

Mark was a cook for several years at The Café Brio in Springfield. He liked to cook and was an avid vegetable and flower gardener.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Mark D. Friday and James Ward will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Private Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

STEPHEN "BRUNO" AIMONE
(1949~2004)

Pekin ~ Stephen L. “Bruno” Aimone, 54, of 608 Hillyer Street, died suddenly at 1:47 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in the Emergency Room at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born November 11, 1949 in Pekin to Anthony Bruno and Lillian M. Osterman Aimone, he married Bonnie J. Dancey on June 16, 1983 in Long Boat Key, Florida. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Beau Jay Heilman of Pekin; two sisters, Eleanor (Spero) Margaris of Palm Harbor, Florida and Janice Aimone of Hilton Head, South Carolina and one brother, Thomas Aimone of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael A. Aimone.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietname War.

He worked in the shipping department at Caterpillar’s Mossville plant for Schilli Transportation for many years. He previously worked as an employment counselor in Pekin for the United Private Industry Council.

He was an avid tennis player and was a past racquetball instructor at Parkside Athletics in Pekin. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and working crossword puzzles. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Schlarman Council 3507 in Pekin.

He attended services at the Pekin Union Mission.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. James E. West and Deacon Ernest W. Whited will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.

NORMA M. ARRINGTON
(1934~2004)

EAST PEORIA, IL--Norma May Arrington, 70, of 246 Kerfoot died at 11:55 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at her residence.

Born March 20, 1934 in Newport, Tennessee to Ernest and Pansy Yates Freeman, she married Kelce N. Arrington, II in 1952 in Newport.

She was preceded in death by her husband in November 1988 in Cosby, Tennessee; 1 son, Michael Joseph Arrington; her parents; and her step-father, Dizzy Dean Hill.

Surviving are 3 sons, Ricky Dale Arrington of East Peoria; Freddy N. (Denise) Arrington of Fairview, Tennessee, and Kelce N. Arrington, III of Pekin; 1 daughter, Pamela G. (Daniel) Robinson of Creve Coeur; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, J.D. (Faye) Hill of Newport, Tennessee.

Mrs. Arrington worked as a cook in the dietary department at Proctor Hospital in Peoria for 33 years, retiring in 2003.

Cremation will be accorded.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. Rev. Don Zumwalt will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

JOSEPH J. FISHER
(1930~2004)

PEKIN ~ Joseph J. Fisher, Jr., 74, of Pekin, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at ManorCare at Riverview in East Peoria.

Born February 17, 1930 in Beardstown to Joseph J., Sr. and Alice Fisher, he married Evelyn Mahaffy on February 2, 1970 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Joann Marlene (Richard) Burrows and Diana Marie (Frank) Blackburn, both of East Peoria; two sons, Michael Lee (Laura) Fisher of Peoria and Roger Fisher of Pekin; one step-daughter, Sally (Michael) Cody of Pekin; seven step-sons, Sarge (Nancy) Begeman of Suttons Bay, Michigan, Jim (Jane) Begeman of Ludington, Michigan, Skip (Marcella) Begeman of Stanwood, Michigan, Dave (Sandy) Begeman of Pekin, Gary Begeman of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rick (Jeanette) Begeman of Frasier, Michigan and Bill (Sue) Begeman of Big Rapids, Michigan; four sisters, Lucille Spears of Peoria Heights, Josephine Smith of East Peoria, Lula Williams and Patsy Eaton, both of Beardstown and four brothers, Jerry Ren and Henry Ren, both of Frederick, John Ren of Beardstown and Bill Ren of Carterville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nellie Glass.

He worked for Northern Petroleum for over 30 years, retiring as a forklift driver in 1991.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1869 in Pekin.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid bowler.

His visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Cremation will follow the visitation. No service is planned.

KENNETH L. RIGLER
(1943~2004)

PEKIN ~ Kenneth Lee Rigler, 61, of 12730 Carter Road, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at his home.

Born October 6, 1943 in Beardstown to Harold James and Vera Mae Bradbury Rigler, he married Sharon Kaye Maxwell on August 7, 1967 in Perryton, Texas. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Rebekah Ann (Pearl III) Cottingham of South Pekin and Nancy Sue (Dustin) Whetstone of Pekin; six grandchildren; and one brother, Rev. Robert Warren (Connie) Rigler of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son (Melvin James Rigler on March 24, 1982 in Peoria).

Mr. Rigler worked in maintenance at the former Pekin Mall for several years, retiring in 1985. He previously worked in security for many years at Pekin Hospital and KMART, both in Pekin.

He was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in rural Pekin, where he was a member of the men’s dartball team.

He enjoyed writing stories and poems.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Charles Grogan will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

JONI SVENDSEN
(1937~2004)

PEKIN ~ T. Joanne “Joni” Svendsen, 67, of 1923 Highwood Avenue, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at her home. She was formerly of 17419 Red Shale Hill Road in Pekin.

Born January 13, 1937 in Pekin to Richard Alvin “Casey” and Thelma Melbarine “Mel” Henderson Jacobs, she married Daniel James “Dan” Svendsen on May 18, 1957 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kathy A. (David) Habenicht of Winthrop Harbor; three sons, Eric D. (Madeline) Svendsen of Bailey, Colorado and Scott T. Svendsen and Robert M. “Rob” (Kelly) Svendsen, both of Pekin; five grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra K. “Sandy” (John) Bressner of East Peoria and Joyce L. (Gene) Wade of Nixa, Missouri; and one brother, Richard T. “Tim” (Joyce) Jacobs of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her mother (Thelma “Mel” Lowery) and father and step-mother (Richard “Casey” and Edna Taylor Jacobs).

Mrs. Svendsen worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring January 1, 1991 as an executive assistant at the General Office in Peoria. She later worked part-time for Caterpillar, Inc. for several years as a secretary at the General Office in Peoria and at area plants, last working in 2000. In earlier years, she worked for Producer’s Dairy in Peoria as a secretary.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the Ladies of Columbus, both in Pekin. She was a past volunteer for the Pekin Township Holiday Meals Program.

A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. The Rev. David Whiteside will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, with recitation of the Rosary at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.

RALPH E. HOYLAND
(1924~2004)

PEKIN ~ Ralph E. Hoyland, 80, of 14298 Townline Road, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 at his home.

Born October 10, 1924 in Stuart, Iowa to Harold and Goldie Smith Hoyland, he married Mary A. Schaer on April 19, 1947 in Spring Bay. She died September 9, 2001 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis E., Sr., (Candy) Hoyland of Groveland and Randy R. (Tiffany) Hoyland of Delavan; one daughter, Holly D. (James) Chism of Pekin; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom (Margaret) Hoyland of Peoria and Harold, Jr. (Teruko) Hoyland of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Marlene (Donald) Gischel of Loveland, Colorado and two half-brothers, Vernon Blumenshine of Bartonville and Willmer Blumenshine of Peoria.

He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the European Theater.

He was a retired member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 3 in Peoria, where he worked out of for 44 years, retiring in 1983.

A member of the Tazewell County Farm Bureau, he also owned and operated a small farm in Cincinnati Township, Tazewell County.

He enjoyed fishing, remodeling, playing bingo and doing yardwork.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Charles Grogan will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will in Spring Bay Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115.

RONALD C. HUDDLESTON, JR.
(1959~2004)

PEKIN ~ Ronald C. Huddleston, Jr., 45, of 1220 Summer Street, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at his residence.

Born July 6, 1959 in Effingham to Ronald Carl, Sr. and Donna Faye Birch Huddleston, he married Pam Canary.

Surviving are his mother of Pekin; one son, Ronny Huddleston of North Carolina; three brothers, Robert W. Huddleston of Green Valley, Clay T. (Sonja) Huddleston and Joshua L. Huddleston, both of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.

His father and grandparents preceded him in death.

Mr. Huddleston retired from Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville with 25 years of service in January of 2003, where he was a machine operator in the wire mill.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs Baseball fan. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Brian E. Rahn will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery in Newton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Medical Center Hospice Services, 221 Northeast Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61636.

LORENE E. DEHMLOW
(1920~2004)

PEKIN ~ Lorene Elaine Dehmlow, 84, of 1703 Short Drive, died at 1 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at her home.

Born June 28, 1920 in Belleville to John Thomas and Mary M. Rebuffoni Gent, she married the Rev. Duane Durell Dehmlow on October 14, 1944 in El Paso, Texas. He survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Lynette F. (Robert) Vanderburg of Mapleton, Janelle K. (Nick) Gilley of Caldwell, Texas, Debra G. “Deb” Kirkpatrick and Cheryl R. “Cheri” (Mike) Holcomb, both of Pekin; two sons, Paul G. (Pamela) Dehmlow of Brentwood, Tennessee and Steven J. (Angie) Dehmlow of Morton; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and her twin sister, Loretta Sprague of Belleville.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Brock Gilley and one brother.

A United States Army veteran of World War II, she served with the WAAC service from September 1, 1943 to November 28, 1945.

She worked for the State of Illinois Department of Mental Health as a dietary worker at the former Peoria State Hospital in Bartonville from 1968 to 1973. She had sold tupperware in the Pekin and Peoria area for many years. She also supported her husband in his ministry with Assembly of God churches in South Dakota and Minnesota as well as the Sonshine Ministry, a youth ministry, in Sunnyland.

She attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.

She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Kent Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

D. RUTH SULLIVAN
(1912~2004)

CREVE COEUR ~ Dora Ruth Sullivan, 92, of 701 Fisher Road, Lot 60, died at 10:11 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria.

Born November 11, 1912 in Peoria to Amos Almon and Ethel Eva Enos Bliss, she married Kern William Jennings Sullivan on December 6, 1942 in Peoria. He died December 9, 1986 in Danville. She also was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are one son, Ronald B. Sullivan of Creve Coeur; two daughters, Barbara Lynn van Soolen of Peoria and Phyllis A. (Robert) Shaver of Vero Beach, Florida; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sullivan worked 5 years as a cook for the Pavilion South Nursing Home in Peoria. She had previously worked 8 years at the former Holiday Inn in East Peoria in their Laundry department.

She was a longtime member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church. She also was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club and volunteered many years at Washington Christian Village.

She enjoyed playing cards, doing word finds and gardening.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Creve Coeur Christian Church. The Rev. John E. Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel and also 30 minutes before services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
