PEKIN—Alfred William Keyes, 70, of 1208 S. 12th St., died at 11:40 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born February 1, 1934 in Terre Haute, Indiana to George and Flonnie Atterson Keyes, he married Betty Jane Clauson on June 28, 1952 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife; 4 sons, Randy (Cindy) Keyes and Gary (Carol) Keyes, both of Pekin, Ralph (Dawn) Keyes of Cullman, Alabama, and Arlan Keyes of Peoria; 4 daughters, Karla (Gary) Bush, Karen Winget, and Rhonda Snyder, all of Pekin, and Debra Brothwood of Forest City; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchldren; 1 brother, Floyd Keyes of Pekin; and 4 sisters, Thelma Roberts, Maxine Rogers, and Pat (Carl) Buley, all of Pekin, and Linda (Jerry) Counterman of South Pekin.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Diane Keyes; 1 grandson; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Mr. Keyes worked for Corn Products Corporation in Pekin for 30 years, retiring in 1983 as a foreman.
He was an avid bowler, belonging to the CPC League and the Monday Morning Sunrise League, both at Roxy’s Lanes in Pekin. He was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, a dog lover, and an all around handyman.
Cremation will be accorded.
A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel.

JAMES A. SIEBENBORN
(1918~2004)
WEST PEORIA ~ James Alvin Siebenborn, 86, of West Peoria, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Fondulac Woods Health Care Center in East Peoria.
Born July 18, 1918 in Havana to John Henry and Marjorie L. Johnson Siebenborn, he married Norma Lee Masten on December 14, 1940 in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jerry Allen (Susette) Siebenborn of Fraser, Michigan; one daughter, Janet Lee (Vince) Hauk of Westminster, Colorado; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera McKinley of East Peoria.
His parents, one brother (Howard Siebenborn), and two sisters (Urla McCarty and Ferne Woods) preceded him in death.
A United States
Army veteran of World War II, he served from October 6, 1943 to March 12, 1946.
Mr. Siebenborn worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 17 years, retiring in 1980 as an assembler on the attachment floor in East Peoria. He previously worked as a truck driver for Kroger Company and Toastmaster Bread, both in Peoria, Midwest Emery in Chicago, Baer-Schmeid in Morton, and last at Sealtest Milk Products in Peoria.
He was a member the First United Methodist Church and the Hilton Lodge #1143 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, both in East Peoria, Mohammed Temple, Shrine in Bartonville, and the Limestone American Legion Post #979 in Bartonville, where he was a bingo volunteer for many years.
An avid square dancer for many years, he was a member of the Cherry Go Round of Peoria and the Squares on Wheels Camping Club.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Alan L. Newhall will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the funeral home with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria, where military rites will be accorded.

EARL W. "SONNY" CAMP

MANITO—Earl William “Sonny” Camp, 74, of 805 S. Washington St., died at 2:00 a.m., Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born May 21, 1930 in Peoria to Hiram and Lillian Maude Edwards Camp, he married Sharon Ball on July 11, 1975 in Rushville.
Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Earl Bradley (Rhonda) Camp of Pekin; 5 daughters, Tinker Vinson of Marquette Heights, Diana (Lonnie) Merritt of Bartonville, April Camp of Manito, Wendy (Richard) Huff of Pekin, Amy (Rocket Harris) Camp of Pekin; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lois (Art) Duden of Rutland.
Mr. Camp worked as a painter for Proctor Hospital in Peoria for 17 years, retiring in 1993. Previously, he had owned and operated the Deep Rock (later Phillips) gas station in North Pekin from 1953-76.
He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Preston Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Ron Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

RUSSELL A. GODBY
(1932~2004)
PEKIN-- Russell A. Godby, 72, of 2438 Willow St., died at 6:54 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Pekin Hospital.
Born May 5, 1932 in Bloomington to Stanley C. and Marie C. Gottschalk Godby, he married Carolyn S. Kuntzman on June 20, 1964 in Taylorville, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife; 1 daughter, Edith M. “Edie” Godby of Peoria; and 1 brother, Robert S. Godby of Clinton, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Mr. Godby worked for Corn Products Corporation for 11 years, retiring as utility division shift foreman in 1981. He later worked as a church directory coordinator for Olan Mills and also as a security guard at Pekin Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1996.
He served in the U.S.
Army from 1952-54 and in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-64.
A member of the Pekin Lions Club since 1967, he had served in every office at club level, including 3 terms as president. He was chosen “Lion of the Year” three times. At the Lions district level, he served as Eye Glass Collection chairman; zone chairman for 3 years; Deputy District Governor for 2 years; Lions of Illinois Deaf Activities chairman for 3 years; Lieutenant Governor; and District 1H Governor from 1993-94. He was presented the prestigious “Melvin Jones Fellowship” by the Marquette Heights-Pekin Lioness Club. He received a special District Governor’s Award, the Membership Development Award, and a certificate of appreciation from the International Association of Lions Clubs as 1 of 286 Lions Clubs International Foundation chairmen to increase district donations by over 50%.
Russ was the Lions of Illinois Forum chairman for 2 years. He had received the International Presidents Medal and the Lions International Leadership Medal. He was the host committee chairman for the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum to be held in Peoria in 2005.
He was the 2001 Illinois Eye Bank volunteer of the year.
He was an American Red Cross pheresis donor, receiving the 20 gallon award..
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin where he had served as a deacon, on the finance committee, and in the bell choir.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel Rev. Robert N. Brite, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the funeral home, where a Lions service will be held at 7 p.m.

CHAD A. MOCK

DELAVAN ~ Chad Allen “Pesci” Mock, 27, of 16523 Winkel Road, was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 in rural Tazewell County.
He was born September 4, 1977 in Pekin to Frank R. and Cheryl Jean Thomas Mock.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Cheryl J. and Johnny E. Spell of Cochran, Georgia; his father of Delavan; one sister, Angela J. (Robert) O’Neal of Macon, Georgia; one brother, Roger E. Tackett of Smyrna, Georgia; grandparents, Norma J. Mock of Pekin and Merle E. and Donna R. Thomas of Macon, Georgia; and step-grandparents, A.G. and Eva M. Spell of Macon, Georgia.
His grandfather (Franklin D. Mock) preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Delavan High School.
Mr. Mock worked for Port Services at Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. in Normal. He then worked as a book salesman for Interstate Subscription Services for over 2 years. He later worked at Radio Shack in Pekin. He last worked as a night stockman at County Market in Pekin.
He enjoyed fishing and
hunting.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. The Rev. Quinn McKenzie will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

ROLAND E. "HOBBY" HOBSON

PEKIN ~ Roland Eugene “Hobby” Hobson, 65, of 721 South 13th Street in Pekin, died at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria. He was formerly of Delavan.
Born July 20, 1939 in Pekin to Frank and Verla Marie Knollenberg Hobson, he married Diane Marie Eilers Conley on October 29, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ty Hobson of Pekin and Scott Hobson of Lombard; one daughter, Tonya (Greg) Urkoski of Lombard; three step-sons, Scott (Cindy) Conley of Pekin, Dan (Jessica) Conley and Matt (Krystal) Conley, both of Walkersville, Maryland; one step-daughter, Lisa (Greg) Whitton of Corona, California; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth D. (Virginia) Hobson of Germantown Hills and two sisters, Maxine Bong and Ramona Leinweber, both of Milledgeville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Hobson; two daughters, Lindy Hobson and Tiffany Hobson; two brothers and one sister.
A veteran of the Armed forces, Mr. Hobson worked 30 years for Caterpillar, Inc. in quality control, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 916 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1869, both in Pekin.
He was an avid billiards player and enjoyed motorcycling and racing.
A memorial gathering will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the Pekin Moose Lodge. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

JEAN I. THOMASON
(1922~2004)
PEKIN ~ Jean Irene Thomason, 82, of 1307 South 12th Street, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Born August 12, 1922 in Ontario, Canada to John and Mary Alice Haslum Wilson, she married Wilford Roscoe “Red” Thomason on September 14, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. He died April 15, 1983 in Tucson, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Herbert Wilson) and one sister (Ellen Ewers).
Surviving are one son, Ronald L. (Jennie) Thomason of Pekin; four grandchildren, Ronald L. (Jennifer) Thomason, II and Lori E. (John) Darling, both of Pekin, Kevin M. (Jaime) Duane of Davenport, Iowa, and Kyle M. Duane of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Wilson.
Mrs. Thomason was a cafeteria worker at Pekin Community High School for 11 years, first at West Campus and later at the East Campus. She later worked in the cafeteria at Pekin Insurance from January 26, 1970 until retiring May 20, 1977 as the cafeteria supervisor.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pekin, Celestial City Campers, American Association of Retired Persons, and the American
motorcyle
Association. She also was a charter and 64 year member of the Peoria
motorcyle Club Auxiliary.
She was an active participant in activities at the Miller Senior Citizen Center in Pekin. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, and dancing.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Christine Bell will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

PEKIN ~ Arthur Joseph Owens, Jr., 62, as resident of 1417 Loretta St. since 2003, died at 5:05 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004 at his home. He was formerly a resident of 309 W. Winthrop Ave. in Addison, Illinois.
Born December 8, 1941 in Chicago to Arthur J., Sr. and Catherine Haley Owens, he married Kathleen Orr on May 14, 1966 in Chicago.
Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Michael J. Owens of Pekin; 1 daughter, Nancy (Curt) Vernon of Keller, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Rose and Tyler and Sarah Vernon, all of Keller, Texas; 4 sisters; and 1 brother.
He was preceded in death by 1 son, Mark Owens on October 29, 1967 in Chicago.
Mr. Owens was a printer for over 40 years, last working for Midwest Index in Glendale Heights, Illinois, retiring July 1, 2002.
He was in the U.S. Navy from January 18, 1960 to January 24, 1964, serving as a ship’s fireman.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Addison.
He was a member of the American Legion in Addison and the Knights of Columbus in Chicago.
He enjoyed building doll houses.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Deacon Charles Murray will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pekin.

SHARON M. TUMILTY

SOUTH PEKIN ~ Sharon M. Tumilty, 58, of 212 Fourth Street, died at 3:28 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born April 17, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri to Melvin William and Ileen H. Dotson Monroe, she married Arthur Michael “Mike” Tumilty on August 31, 1971 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Anthony William “Tony” (Heike) Goodin and Arthur M. Tumilty, Jr., both of Pekin, and Zachary J. Tumilty of South Pekin; three daughters, Chandra I. Kennedy of Pekin, Kamberly A. (Tony) Rice of Washington, and Ashley M. Tumilty of South Pekin; five grandchildren; one brother, Larry G. (Janet) Monroe of South Pekin; and five sisters, Melba J. (Gerald) Montgomery and Marilyn (Robert) Stallwitz, both of Pekin, Loretta Faye (Robert) Stymiest of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Julie C. Breen and Sanora A. Monroe, both of North Pekin.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tumilty worked as the director of nursing at East Peoria Gardens Health Care Center in East Peoria for the past 3 years.
A registered nurse for 36 years, she received her nurse’s training at Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
She enjoyed reading, camping, and canning.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded.

ROBERT L. GARDNER
(1926~2004)
PEKIN ~ Robert Lee Gardner, 78, of 1311 South 10th Street, died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 27, 1926 in Green Valley to Ferdinand D. and Rhoada Belle Sanderson Gardner, he married Lola Marie Garman on February 10, 1952 in Pekin. She died January 7, 1987 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Surviving are four daughters, Paula K. (Wallace) Farrar of Channahon, Pam J. Lohnes of Marquette Heights, and Bonnie L. Pollock and Raylene S. Pitts, both of Pekin; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, William Gardner of Pekin and Ferd Gardner of Green Valley; two sisters, Helen Schnarr of Pekin and Alice Wald of Chicago; one half-brother, Wayne Gardner of Farmington; and one half-sister, Phyllis Coffman of Peoria. He also leaves a special friend, Margaret Lowman of Pekin.
A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he served from November 23, 1943 to April 26, 1946. He served aboard the USS LSM 46.
Mr. Gardner worked for the Corn Products Corporation in Pekin for 30 years, retiring in 1978 as a shift supervisor in the kiln department.
He was a member of the Second Reformed Church in Pekin and its Men’s Sunday school class and dart ball team. He also was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #916 in Pekin, American Bowling Congress, Roy L. King Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1232 in Pekin, and the USS LSM-LSMR Association.
He enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, and was a loyal Saint Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Harmen Heeg and Rev. Ralph H. Cordes will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded by the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
