KEVIN F. MUTH
(1962~2005)

PEKIN ~ Kevin F. Muth, 43, of 1408 Hazel Street, died at 2:33 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at his residence. He was formerly of Chicago.

Born August 2, 1962 in DeKalb to Frank and Donna Matheny Muth, he married Shawn L. Hoehn on July 27, 2001 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Derek S. Muth; one step-son, Dustin M. Hoehn and one brother, Brian S. (Kim) Muth, all of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister, Paula Muth.

A graduate of the Cooking Academy of Chicago in 1998, Kevin was the kitchen manager at Kelleher’s Irish Pub on Southwest Water Street in Peoria since it’s opening in 2001, last working Tuesday. He previously worked as a foreman for Richardson Seating in Chicago for 10 years.

He loved to cook and was an active member of the American Culinary Federation, Inc. since 1999. He also was an avid fan of Chicago professional sports.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be held two hours before services. The Rev. Thomas R. Wenndt will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following services.

Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for his son, Derek, in care of Heartland Bank.

SALLY ENOS
(1932 ~2005)

PEKIN – Celestine Margaret “Sally” Enos, 93, of 1904 Willow St. died at 11:18 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at her home.

Born June 16, 1912 in Henry, Illinois to John and Anna Staab Ziegler, she married Melvin M. “Dan” Enos on June 23, 1932 in Henry.

She was preceded in death by her husband on September 24, 1980 in Peoria; and 2 brothers.

Surviving are 2 sons, Jerry Enos and Robert Enos, both of Peoria; 3 daughters, Jackie Workman of Chillicothe, and Janice (Don) Oates and Jean Christy, both of Pekin; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

A homemaker, she was of the Catholic faith.

She was formerly a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Eagles auxiliary, both in Pekin. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and traveling.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday at Calvary Cemetery in Henry. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4234 N. Knoxville Ave., Peoria, IL 61614.

Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel.

GUY N. EWING
(1931~2005)

PEKIN ~ Guy N. Ewing, 74, of 2206 Scenic View Court, died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Pekin Hospital.

Born May 23, 1931 in Danville to Guy and Marie Watson Ewing, he married F. Janet Tobin on July 1, 1950 in Danville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Norman Fred (Cindy) Ewing of Peoria and R. Scott Ewing of Pekin; one daughter, Kathleen L. (Dick) Bouris of El Paso; and three grandsons, Keith N. Ewing and Joshua R. Ewing, both of Pekin, and Bradley A. Bouris of El Paso.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Ewing worked as a train master for 40 years, last working for Indiana Harbor Belt in Chicago where he retired in June of 1991. Following retirement, he worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, last working July 6, 2005.

He was active in area youth sports for many years and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Joe Magner will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded

BARBARA TOY
(1937 ~ 2005)

FAIRMOUNT — Barbara S. Toy, 68, of Fairmount, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2005 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Mrs. Toy was born March 12, 1937, in Danville, to Robert and Ann Haluska McNees. She married Robert G. Toy in Danville on May 17. 1958. He survives as well as one son, James R. (Mary) Toy of Fairmount.

Private family graveside rites were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. The Rev. Mike Roberts officiated.

The family has suggested memorials in her memory to the Fairmount Rescue.

Robison Chapel of Catlin is assisting the Toy family, with local arrangements in Peoria by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.

LINDA LOU BURKE
(1945~2005)

PEKIN ~ Linda Lou Burke, 59, of 2705 Persimmon Street, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Pekin Hospital. She was formerly of East Peoria and Peoria.

She was born October 3, 1945 in Peoria to William Clifford Jr. and Thelma C. Veirs Burke.

She worked in the workshop of Bridgeway, Inc. for the past year.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and talking to others.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be 30 minutes before services. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.

RICHARD FREDERICK HOEHN
(1930~2005)

PEKIN – Richard F. “Dick” Hoehn, 75, of 302 Sheridan Rd. died at 12:09 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Pekin Hospital.

Born May 31, 1930 in Princeton to Randall F. and Anna M. Broers Hoehn, he married Donna F. Gardiner on February 25, 1951 in Pekin.

Surviving are his wife; 1 son, Dennis G. (Debby) Hoehn of South Pekin; 1 daughter, Randa L. Hoehn of Bartonville; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Randall J. Hoehn of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son; and 1 grandson.

He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for 43 years retiring as a transmission hydraulic controls senior design engineer in 1992.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Green Valley where he was involved in the dartball league and the Christian Service Organization.

He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

He held 3 U.S. patents in his name and was a co-holder on many more patents through Caterpillar.

He was a member of the Handyman’s Club and enjoyed fishing, golfing , woodworking, wood carving, and intartia.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Green Valley. Rev. Thomas R. Wenndt and William Krueger, D.C.E. will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

RICHARD L. COBB, JR.
(1961~2005)

EAST PEORIA – Richard Lee Cobb, Jr., 43, of 116 Sun Valley Ct., Apt. E3, died at 11:06 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2005 at his home.

He was born August 3, 1961 in Peoria to Richard L. and Julia B. “Judy” Reeder Cobb, Sr.

Surviving are his parents of East Peoria; 2 sons, John Lahoda and Jerid Lahoda; 2 sisters, Sharon (Kenneth) Baer of Germantown Hills and Leah (Frank) Culbertson of Mankato, Minnesota; and 2 brothers, John (Risilie) Green of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Jerry (Ann) Green of Waynesville, Missouri.

Mr. Cobb worked for Archer Daniels Midland in Peoria from 1988 to 2003.

He was an avid fisherman and Chicago Cubs baseball fan.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. Rev. Keith Moore will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fon Du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.

MARK A. AESCHLIMAN
(1959~2005)

EAST PEORIA ~ Mark Alan Aeschliman, 46, of 1000 Valley Lane, East Peoria, was pronounced dead at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in rural Peoria County.

Born May 25, 1959 in Peoria to Donald Paul and Patricia Ann Butler Aeschliman, he married Darlene Stinsen. He later married Jane Ramsey.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Pat and Gary Lalock of rural Manito; two sons, Mark Alan (Stephanie) Aeschliman, II and Randle Travis Aeschliman, both of Creve Coeur; one daughter, Kalee Ann Aeschliman of Creve Coeur; two grandsons; one step-son, Jason Loy of Peoria; one step-daughter, Gina Harper of Washington; one brother, Timothy (Linda) Aeschliman of Delavan; one sister, Lisa (Greggory) Knight of Pekin; one half-brother, Daniel (Amanda) Aeschliman of Peoria; two half-sisters, Carey (Russ) Harris of Eureka and Jennifer (Sean) Grogen of East Peoria; and three step-sisters, Jeannie Jollif of Arlington, Texas, Patti Baird of Washington, and Glenda Howe of Peoria.

His father preceded him in death.

Mr. Aeschliman was a self-employed swimming pool contractor since 2002. He previously worked for his father at Aeschliman Family Pools in East Peoria.

An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of a dart league.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery in rural Manito.

Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for the Aeschliman children in care of CEFCU, 500 West Washington Street, East Peoria, Illinois 61611.

DARLENE L. ORRICK
(1944~2005)

PEKIN ~ Darlene L. Orrick, 60, of 1009 South Capitol Street, died at 2:37 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005 in the emergency room of Pekin Hospital.

Born November 1, 1944 in Robinson to Otto Kenneth and G. Corinne Talbott Chaney, she married Thomas James Orrick, II on October 26, 1963 in Forest City. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, G. Corinne DeSutter of Manito; one daughter, Brenda L. (Edward) Schwinn of Pekin; one son, Douglas D. (Kelly) Orrick of Pekin; three grandchildren, Karson A. Orrick, Thomas J. Orrick, III, and Connor E. Schwinn, all of Pekin; one brother, Duane (Karen) Chaney of Manito; and one step-sister, Becky (Rob) Laumeier of Niota.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-father (Frank DeSutter).

A homemaker, Mrs. Orrick was a co-founder and past president for several years of the former Central Illinois Juvenile Diabetes. Foundation in Pekin.

She was a member of the Forest City Community Church in Forest City and attended Crossroads Full Gospel Church in rural Pekin.

She enjoyed sewing and photography.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. James Hawkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

ELEANOR M. WATSON
(1923~2005)

CREVE COEUR – Eleanor Marie Watson, 82, formerly of Creve Coeur, died at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Snyder Village in Metamora.

Born March 17, 1923 in Peoria to Edward and Marie Mohr Hamilton, she married James Clifford Shinall on August 30, 1941 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He died June 26, 1981 in Peoria. She later married William Vincent Watson on September 1, 1984 in Creve Coeur.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 8, 2001 in Morton; and 1 brother.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Rebecca (Pat) Booth of East Peoria and Sandra Quinn of Metamora; 2 step-daughters, Nancy (Alan) Hersemann of East Peoria and Judy L’Heureux of Friendswood, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, she had also worked at Nyman’s Market in Creve Coeur for 5 years during the late 1970s. She had previously worked as a bookkeeper at Ed’s Radiator and Welding Shop in Creve Coeur and at the Bonanza Steak House in Peoria.

She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Creve Coeur.

She had been an assistant Girl Scout leader in Creve Coeur during the early 1950s. She enjoyed crocheting.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2005 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel. Rev. Don Zumwalt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 604 Groveland Ave., Creve Coeur, IL 61610, Emergency 116, 102 N. Davenport, Metamora, IL 61548, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

KEITH SILL
(1919~2005)

WASHINGTON ~ Keith Sill, 86, of 200 Carlson Avenue, Apartment 11B, died at 11:53 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2005 at his home. He was formerly of 520 Monson Street in East Peoria.

Born April 18, 1919 in Timber Township, Peoria County to Robert Fulton and Edith Northrup Sill, he married Ora Belle Strunk. He later married Zertha F. Whitley Elliott. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son (David Sill), and one sister (Grace Hogue).

Surviving are three daughters, Sharon L. Chiodo of Naperville, and Sherry A. Hood and Joyce F. (Michael) Brooks, both of East Peoria; two sons, M. Ed (Sue) Elliott of East Peoria and Ken W. (Joan) Elliott of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Phyllis R. Legg of Pekin and Charlotte M. (Kermit) Erickson of Dassel, Minnesota.

Mr. Sill had worked for Peoria Partition Plant in Peoria for several years, retiring in 1979 as a foreman.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin and attended Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.

He enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before services. Pastor Mark Friday and Rev. Thomas J. Pisano will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
