Gladys L. Zbinden, 81, of Watseka, IL passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
Visitation will run from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 26. Rev. Paul Copeland will officiate. Burial will be at Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Kankakee, IL.
Mrs. Zbinden was born June 18, 1928 in Kankakee, a daughter of Bascom W. and Leona Lake Jackson Sr. She married Lester Stevens and he preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Wilbur “Fritz” Zbinden on July 16, 1964 and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1995.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael Stevens of Kankakee and Mark and Val Stevens of Palatine, IL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Todd Runck of Tempe, AZ and Nancy and Jim McKenna of Watseka; three brothers, Donald Jackson of Toluca, IL, James Jackson of Newport Beach, CA and Charles Jackson of Lake Odessa, MI; seven sisters, Ethel Venema of Idaho, Louise Hamende of St. Elmo, IL, Ruth Lefeave of El Paso, TX, Shirley Wooldridge of Bourbonnais, Thelma Alcorn of Watseka, Lillian Hanson of Kankakee and Phyllis Knecht of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Lisa Cosgray, MacKenzie Stevens, Lindsey Stevens, Olivia Stevens, Duncan McKenna, Madeline McKenna and Matthew Stevens; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Cosgray.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lucille Richmond; one brother, Bascom Jackson Jr.; and two granddaughters, Cory Stevens and Hannah McKenna.
Mrs. Zbinden worked at the Watseka Elks Lodge for over twenty years.
Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.

George W. Phillippo, 87, Watseka, IL
George W. Phillippo, 87 of Watseka, IL, formerly of Gilman, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his home.
Visitation will run from 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, until the 4 p.m. service at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Chris Lentz and Lloyd Eastburn will officiate. Following the service, military rites will be provided by Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450. Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Mr. Phillippo was born Jan. 27, 1923 in Chicago, IL, a son of George W. and Hattie May Fransen Phillippo. He married Moonyeen “Dolly” Masterson on May 16, 1942 in Chicago and she survives.
Other survivors include seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Mauryeen Jurczak of Frankfort, IL, Darlyeen and Art Jellema of Cedar Lake, IN, Kathleen and Tim Anast of Tinley Park, IL, Christine and Ron Plankis of Orland Park, IL, Arleen and Jim Manzke of Gilman, IL, Janine and Herb Macz of Watseka, IL and Noreen and Jeff Sutherland of California; nineteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-brother; two step-sisters; and one granddaughter.
Mr. Phillippo was a member of Onarga Christian Church, American Legion Post #23, and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450. He was the former mayor of Gilman and also the former owner of Gilman and Piper City Locker Plant. He assisted in Iroquois West reading programs, was a proud American Veteran and enjoyed wood working.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.

John W. DeBoef, 32, Calumet City, IL
John W. DeBoef, 32, of Calumet City, IL passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 at his home.
Private services will be held at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.
Mr. DeBoef was born Aug. 14, 1977 in Keokuk, IA, a son of Wayne DeBoef and Marsha Davis.
Survivors include one son, Eric DeBoef of Roscoe, IL; one daughter, Jeanette DeBoef of Rosco, IL; his father and step-mother, Wayne and Victoria DeBoef of Alexandria, MN; and his mother, Marsha Hegstrom of Keokuk, IA.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael.
Mr. DeBoef had been in the National Guard. He attended Salem Baptist Church in Chicago.

Addison Paige Horchem-Norder, Watseka, IL
Addison Paige Horchem-Norder, stillborn daughter of Kailie Horchem and Nicolas Norder of Watseka, passsed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.
Survivors include her parents of Watseka; maternal grandparents, Nathan and Kris Horchem of Watseka; paternal grandparents, Steve and Vicki Norder or Watseka; maternal great-grandparents, Dennis and Rhonda Wittenborn of Watseka; maternal great-great grandmother, Evelyn Wittenborn of Chester, IL; paternal great-grandparents, Ron and Jean Trillet of Watseka; paternal great-grandfather, Eimo Norder of Watseka; paternal great-grandmother, Carol Kelleher of Watseka; one aunt, Jena Horchem; and two uncles, Austen Horchem and Eric Norder.
A private visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Jerry Parker will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to the Addison Paige Memorial Fund.

Marie M. Crouch, 85, Clifton, IL
Marie M. Crouch, 85, of Clifton, IL passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at her home.
Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton and for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service on Thursday, March 25, also at the funeral home. Rev. William Callister will officiate. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
Mrs. Crouch was born March 11, 1925 in Coulterville, IL, a daughter of Verne A. and Rose L. Behrens Friemann. She married Frank A. Crouch on Sept. 19, 1944 in Hoopeston, IL and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1991.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Maryann and Leroy Johnson of Villa Grove, IL, Donna M. and Richard Nordmeyer of Costa Mesa, CA and Loueva M. Crouch of Glenwood Springs, CO; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Crouch was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clifton and also a member of its Sarah Circle, the VFW Auxiliary #4826 in Hoopeston and was a Charter Member and Past President of the Clifton American Legion Auxiliary.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Clifton or Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

Elizabeth “Betty” Tibbetts, 83, Watseka, IL
Elizabeth “Betty” Tibbetts, 83, of Watseka, IL passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at her home.
Visitation will run from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, where services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 22. Rev. Wayne Meyer will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois, IL.
Mrs. Tibbetts was born Sept. 12, 1926 in Watseka, IL, a daughter of Herbert F.M. and Aleen M. Luebchow Wielert. She married Robert M. Tibbetts on May 3, 1947 in Sheldon, IL and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Barry Craft of Watseka; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Marilyn Tibbetts of Watseka and Ron and Vandy Tibbetts of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren and spouses, Amy and Matthew Smith of Clifton, Heather and Bert Baker of Covington, VA, Wendy and Mitch Shoemaker of Watseka, Scott and Susan George of Tampa, FL and Ryan Tibbetts of Madison, AL; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one daughter, Teresa George.
Mrs. Tibbetts was a volunteer at the Iroquois Resident Home for many years.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or Donor’s Choice.

Agustin Gonzalez-Barbosa, 59, Onarga, IL
Agustin Gonzalez-Barbosa, 59, of Onarga, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Visitation will run from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga, with a Rosary Service at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 19 at Immaculate Conception Church in Gilman. Rev. Mike Pennock will officiate. Burial will be at Onarga Cemetery in Onarga.
Mr. Gonzalez-Barbosa was born October 13, 1950 in Casacuaran Guanajuato, Mexico, a son of Esequel Camargo and Estolia Andradae Gonzalez Barbosa.
Survivors include two sisters, Mercedez Barbosa and Margarita Gomez both of Onarga; one brother, Abelardo Barbosa of Mexico; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Guadalupe Barbosa, Trinidad Barbosa and Vicente Barbosa.
Mr. Gonzalez-Barbosa enjoyed being outside with nature and playing with his nieces and nephews.

Larry L. Boudreau, 67, Clifton, IL
Larry L. Boudreau, 67, of Clifton, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Proven St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
Visitation will run for two hours prior to the 1 p.m. service on Friday, March 19, at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Rev. Vern Arseneau will officiate. Burial will be at L’Erable Catholic Cemetery in L’Erable.
Mr. Boudreau was born Dec. 6, 1942 in Kankakee, IL, a son of Lloyd and Drucilla Chenore Boudreau. He married Carole L. Rogers in 1972 in Clifton and she preceded him in death on April 7, 2007.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Danielle Boudreau and Jamie Boudreau all of Clifton; four sisters, Vicky Bishop and Diane Papineau of Clifton, Donna Parker of Indiana and Cindy Frerichs of Herscher; and two grandchildren, Holly Boudreau and Kyler Boudreau.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.

Thomas C. Jenkins, 57, Watseka, IL
Thomas C. Jenkins, 57, of Watseka, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at his home.
Visitation will run from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 18 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, where services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 19. Pastor John Roberson will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
Mr. Jenkins was born Aug. 29, 1952 in Elgin, IL, a son of Clarence and Helen Nemet Jenkins. He married JoAnn Strom on Nov. 16, 1979 in Bloomington, IL and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin Trimble and Tim Jenkins, both of Watseka and Matthew and Shena Jenkins of Wapella, IL; his mother, Helen Jenkins of Gridley, IL; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Ami Jenkins of Milan, IL, Mike and Yvonne Jenkins of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Kevin and Cheri Jenkins of Mackinaw, IL; one sister and brother-in-law, Suzy and Jerry McKinsey of Gridley, IL; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Mark.
Mr. Jenkins was employed at Edmund Allen Lumber Company in Momence, IL. He was an avid Chicago Cub’s fan.

Tanner Joel Huckleby, 19, Watseka, IL
Tanner Joel Huckleby, 19, of Watseka, IL passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 at his residence.
Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18. Rev. Gary Milton, Rev. Brent Zastrow and Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
Mr. Huckleby was born March 27, 1990 in Peoria, IL, a son of Bryan Keith and Kimberly Annette Alcorn Huckleby.
Survivors include a sister, Ashley Jaskula and special friend, Jeremy Funk of Champaign, IL; maternal grandparents, Robert and Lucy Green and Melvin and Thelma Alcorn, all of Watseka; paternal grandmother, Carol Justice of Sidell, IL; paternal great-grandmothers, Martha Huckleby of Hoopeston, IL and Marge Justice of Danville, IL; one aunt, Kim Hamer of Sidell, IL; two step-uncles, Bob and Mike Green of Bloomington, IL; special friends, Dan and Amy Keister of Gilman, IL; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; paternal grandfather, William Marshall Huckleby; paternal great-grandfathers, Dick Justice and Robert Huckleby; and maternal great-grandparents, William and Helen Briscoe and Rena Alcorn.
Mr. Huckleby was a 2009 graduate of Watseka Community High School. He attended the Milford Christian Church. He was a member of the NRA and loved hunting, fishing, archery, NASCAR and working on his car. He was a St. Louis Cardinal’s fan.
Memorials may be made to the Milford Christian Church or the Iroquois County Genealogical Society.

Margaret J. Dannehl, 78, Onarga, IL
Margaret J. Dannehl, 78, of Onarga, IL passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her residence.
Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18. Rev. James Small will officiate. Burial will be at the Onarga Cemetery.
Mrs. Dannehl was born March 27, 1931 in Onarga, IL, a daughter of Lester and Hazel Jimison Lindsay. She married Raymond “Dick” Dannehl on Jan. 2, 1953 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2003.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Steven Benner of Milford, Dorothy and Jo Lange of Onarga and Belinda and Dean Moser of Cissna Park; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Blanche Hollingsworth and Mary and Lloyd Lustfeldt, all of Onarga; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gladys Lindsay.
Mrs. Dannehl graduated from Onarga High School in 1949 and Wesley School of Nursing in Chicago in 1953. She worked in Dr. Swedlund’s office as an RN for many years. She was a member of the Iroquois County Historical Society and the Iroquois County Genealogical Society. She was a member and former President of the Princess Watch-E-Kee Chapter NSDAR. She was a supporter of the Onarga Christian Church and was an active volunteer at the Gilman Healthcare Center.
Memorials may be made to the Iroquois County Historial Society, the Iroquois County Genealogical Society, the Onarga Christian Church or Donor’s Choice.

Jeffery Lloyd Laird, 51, Watseka, IL
Jeffery Lloyd Laird, 51, of Watseka, IL passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home.
Visitation will run from 11 a.m. on Monday, March 22 until the 1 p.m. service at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
Mr. Laird was born Jan. 18, 1959 in Watseka, a son of Lloyd R. and Marjorie M. Stanlely Laird.
Survivors include a daughter, Katelyn Laird of Chicago; two sons, Nathan Laird of Chicago and Jeremy Laird of Papineau; his mother, Marjorie Laird of Watseka; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Michele Laird of Rantoul, IL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynnann and Richard Wethington of Coral Cables, FL and Louann and James Bockman of Yorkville, IL; and two grandchildren, Jerzie Laird and Gannyn Laird.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Laird enjoyed bowling and golf.
